why do people have to be like that? I was infuriated when i heard of the fire. I wish the cowards who set the blaze would own up to it. bunch of pussies...
wow, there is no place or any type of power source to get a survaillence(spelling) camera to catch them arsonists to pay for what they did to the landmark... damn thats sad
the bridge has been condemned. they plan on tearing it down. it will not be rebuilt for a long time, years probably. and when it is it won't be a replica. it will most likely be a regular concrete bridge. a crane will be needed to lift the concrete parts. estimated cost of 3 million. hopefully the state will help out the town of girard with costs. if so then girard would have to pay 5% of it.
This just does not make any sense to me. I am glad I at least got to see it before it was destroyed. I hope whoever did this is caught and held responsible. I really want to hear thier plan to pay for for rebuilding it.
How about we fire bomb their house and see how they like it.
A piece of my youth gone.I loved that bridge!

V_V I remember playing there as a child, so this hit me in the heart and I cried when I heard.
It looks so sad and lonely... But it's not forgotten.
