To be honest I can't stand the Cadets "Between Angels and Demons" run. BUT if they did something like this for their true show I would fall in love with them. THIS is something cute, funny, and different. It shows that they know how to have fun!
Wow... some very unmusical things going on.... fracks aside... they happen. But geeze. There is entertaining.. and then there is just bad musicianship coming from one of DCI's best corps. And I'm not talking about the small group on stage.
@regimentrocks This is no easy piece, not to mention they have it all memorized WHILE on tour. You've been on tour, you know how little time you have outside of rehearsing the actual show. The fact they were able to put something like this together and have it so clean speaks for itself.
@JeremysBugles I was talking about when the whole horn line comes in. Some baritones going WAY WAY past the horn. I think that's what I was talking about... don't remember, it was a long time ago. To me, that is never acceptable. I like the small group a lot. It's cute.
Actually, this is adapted from an arrangement by Electric Mustard, a group of UCLA students (3 trombones and a tenor sax) who recorded it in 1982. SCV played a similar adaptation at I&E in 1985.
First time I've seen the Cadets relaxed and having fun while performing. I loved it!

HollyHood3137 6 months ago
@HollyHood3137 That's part of the William Tell Overture, just before the big finale that most people think is the whole piece.

sound flat... kinda

@jonah12321 what sounds flat... if the entire drum core is slightly flat it doesn't matter. as long as there in tune with themselves
