  • yeah my grandfather. Manny Lopez :)

  • Its Elvis Presley and that advertises the genre much better than its home country could ever do. He is stil the King

  • The girl in green at one minute, fifteen in's a little cutie and no bleedin' mistake! :D

  • I like how they got the entire Mexican setup going on, while Bossa Nova has nothing to do with Mexico...

  • i cant stop dancing baby ,what a chanter , i forgot the good looking hik could dance,,magicforget about his movies entertainment was the priority, best song, only the strong survive

  • Question would this be considered pure bossa nova or bossa nova rock fusion because of the tempo?

  • @15Holladay Bossa nova takes from the samba rhythm, but is much less percussive. On YouTube search for Antonio Carlos Jobim, João Gilberto, Nara Leão or Marcos Valle to hear bossa nova. (There is also a great medley of bossa arrangements on YT with Frank Sinatra and Jobim performing together) This song "Bossa Nova Baby" is a pop tune with a latin rhythm, but the only bossa nova is in the title. Cheers.

  • @SenhordoBonfim Ok, so, it's that Latin rhythm that gives it that aspect of Bossa Nova although it isn't. Ok, thank you very much for the reply and the reference. This will help me get better at bass. :D

  • @SenhordoBonfim

It's still pretty awesome, don't you think? :)

  • @BlazeyPL Oh yeah! It's a great tune!

  • Such a catchy Song!

  • This should disprove myth about whether Elvis can "move" ..... dance. Great video.

  • This is such a superb track! And I love that they decided to drop put the mariachi part - it definitely it not suit the song

  • I love the way he sings "if you lend me a dollar I can buy some gas and we can go for a little ride..." But, damn, I wish he'd been able to grow as an artist and really tap into his bottomless talent instead of getting stuck with leeches like the Memphis Mafia and crooks like Tom Parker.

  • What stage presence!

  • You don't know what you're talking about, $1 for gas in 1963. Gas was about 0.30, that's 30 cents a gallon back then, it wasn't over a $1 until the 1980's.

  • From 1:09-1:14 secs is probably the best dance move i have ever seen.

  • love this old elvis

  • MmMm! Lovely 10 stars

  • what a body...

  • @TheXraxa Why, thank you!

  • so good looking....

  • that sunuva bitch stealin moves from forrest..

  • Bossa Nova is a Brazilian style of Music. Grat song but it aint Bossa Nova.

Check out 'Frank Sinatra & Tom Jobim - Garota de Ipanema'.

    Now thats Bossa Nova.

  • this music is infectious, happy!

  • Was lead here cause of the "no strings attached" movie and i really love this song now <3333

  • Simply the best

  • i always loved this track from the king

  • Heineken

  • This is the bomb!

  • I love how he takes his off the keyboard and it keeps playing. That's good. That's real good.

  • This song opens with the same chaotic frenzy as a bull riding event. Once the gate opens, all hell breaks loose as the "bull" charges to center stage. Once there, it's a flurry of arms, legs & pelvises all in an attempt to shake his lyrical "cowboy." Forget 8 seconds. He keeps this up for 2 minutes. With "sweat poppin out of his head" the king exhibits moves usually reserved for your local strip club. Everything is on display here - frantic lyrics, thumping bongoes and even a mariachi band.

  • thumbs up if the heineken ad brought you back to the good old days!

    ¡AMATOMA!

  • Thank you all very much,I thank you for your continued following.ADIOS

  • Thats a bad white boy...Long live the king.

  • Love love love this song.Elvis was and still is the best.Nobody has yet been able to move as good especially his gyrating pelvis, look so good&sing so AMAZINGLY GOOD.

  • Dance, voice, personality and looks. 4 times a Legend!

  • Oh, gosh, his voice & dancing skills are awesome. Like a tamed wild horse - he just knows how to rock!

  • no strings attached anyone???

  • t mueves como los dioses grande x siempre evelyn chile t sigo desde niñA MAS DE 40 AÑOS

  • In a class by himself.

  • 34 years gone and still the KING

  • He is the best ever!!

  • love it cause of the henieken add..

  • Year I was born 1963 . Elvis a legend................... Love the music & Love Elvis, brought up with his music in my home, Im now 48

  • for anyone to think Elvis is not the coolest cat to ever walk the planet, is just plain ignorant. LOL

  • HOLY FUCK -- this is AWE-SOME!

  • @iluvanimals2122 Actually Elvis played the piano and guitar.

  • Elvis had moves and a style that only he could do. It just never looks the same when someone else tries to do his moves. It is not a style that can be taught in a dance class it is pure natural feeling and movement that came from his soul. Like James Brown.

  • My grandpa is the man to the left of Elvis with the percussion instruments :) SO COOOOOL.

  • @OneLeau whoa! are you serious?

  • whos the blonde?

  • @farmboy1973 ursula andress from james bond dr no - played honey rider

  • Back then people were shocked by his indecency in dancing.... if people back then could see the way we're dancing now...

  • I play the piano just like the king!

  • love the purple carpet,,,,

  • $1 for gas! those were the days!

  • @gabrielkipp77 Listen closer ..... Elvis sang "some" gas, not just a gallon, so they could ride ..... even up in the mountains. I remember when gasoline was fifteen cents a gallon ..... now you can GASP about GAS ..... LOL

  • @gabrielkipp77 I bet it costs a damn sight bloody more than that now!

  • @gabrielkipp77 ... that would have gotten you about 3 gallons ! a good "little ride "....

  • i love the fact that every instrument that he is supposed to be playing in his movies/videos, he doesnt actually play it. nothing wrong with it, coz no doubt that its bloody hard work to do the stuff he did, let alone play and instrument as well. i remember one video he was in, he was playing guitar, only thing was, there were no strings on it hahaha. still, guy is amazing, and i've met very few people who can anywhere near similar to him. KING FTW!

  • Hot hot hot,, sexxxy Elvis!

  • The sweetest ear and eye candy I have ever heard and seen in my life!

  • nice cover... originally from bill ramsey - bossa nova baby

  • @Colin149 WRONG!! this song was written by Leiber-Stoller and recorded in 1962 by Tippy and the Clovers. Elvis recorded it in 1963, Bill Ramsey in 1964. Check your facts before posting misleading comments

  • @qqsomething you are so cool that you know that !

  • @xHyloidx I know I'm cool, thanks for taking notice

  • Love the tune, but I never got why it's called Bossa Nova Baby when it's nowhere close to a bossa nova...

  • @Denkyuu It is funny a song about Bossa Nova not in Bossa Nova style

  • @DonnSeib Forrest Gump did.

  • epic dancing,epic riff 0:29

  • Elvis: a man of unlimited talent!! great music AMAZING MOVIES HAHAHA

however this is the 1 instant where he dances like a complete TARD!! LMAO!!

(to be fair tho thats by todays standards, (and to be even more fair mainstream music today sux!!) that dancing would gotten so many panties wet back in the 60s but 2day if u seen sum1 do that in a club today you'd thinking: "awe he thinks he can dance :) isnt he special??" OH YEA: the sound of their feet hitting the floor KILLS the song!!

  • And people say Elvis didnt know how to dance --- Hes the total package --- hes getting his groove on

  • Awesome picture quality, what did you use?

  • I must admit that I haven't seen the movie, but Bossa Nova is Brazilian and Acapulco is in Mexico. I also admit that the song is catchy, but it is definitely not bossa nova.

  • Just saying "Bossa Nova" is not enough. It has got to be B.N.

This performance is just... ridiculous. How come?

  • It´s no enough to say Bossa Nova". It´s got to be B.N., and this, definitely, is something stupidly else.

  • You said Bossa Nova> Ridiculous !OMG.

  • Why didn't he just learn the basic piano phrase for the scene. It looks absurdly silly when he pulls away from the organ and the phrase is still playing

  • I keep watching this video and wondering HOW IN THE HELL DID HE KEEP HIS TIMING? Lol He kept looking like he was going to miss a step but he didn't.

  • Love it

  • hate him love him,it dont make a damn.this is the king of rock and roll man, haha this dude had it all.he was born at the right time.had the moves and looks for his time, and he knew it man.the chicks knew it too.and the voice he had,yeh he was,and is the king, like it or love it,go man go.hahahahahahahahahahahahahhahahah

  • my mate[gay sister] is a elvis connoisseur[freak] but i really do like the big E and this vid and song should tell you the gezzer had something.it makes me happy

  • Bossa Nova???? hahahaha! It's the first time I listen to bossa nova with rattles!

  • killer dancing!

  • now i discover this asweome song

  • awsome song awsome singer viva elvis

  • ELVIS IS NOT DEAD! O_O

  • This song is not Bossa Nova at all... It sounds like something from Cuba or something

  • Elvis was definitely a gifted natural dancer. It’s mesmerizing to watch his body and feet effortlessly move to the beat of the music.

  • good vid, great song. the the song is not a bossa nova

  • goodness! the man could move!!

  • @RiskyKel Totally!!

  • I heard this on the phone while on hold and HAD to look it up! AWESOME!!!

  • I don't like when people think he didn't know how to play instruments. He truly did....especially the guitar.

  • He really throws down on this one! God love him...he was & always will be the king of rock & roll!!

  • AAAAAAAHHHH!!!! :) HE ROCKS!!!

    LONG LIVE THE KING!!!!!

  • My 7 year old daughter loves this song and video!

  • en quwe lugar fue filmado esto?? se que es en acapulco, pero en que lugar?

  • If you like this vid, check out the new viva elvis bossa nova version. but watch the video where they have taken the new song and put it to this video. its pretty awsome. I think if you just type in viva elvis bossa nova it comes up as the first one.

  • There is nothing bossa nova about this!

  • He dances like he's Jack Sparrow from Pirates of the Caribbean

  • Sadly, three of the nine mariachi back up singers died from exhaustion on their front porch, thirty five years later, bragging of the time they sang with Elvis!!!

    Tequila,Remember,Sigh...Rinse, Lather,Repeat...

  • I defy anyone to try to move like Elvis did at the 1:08 mark of this video. I think it's phsically impossible. No one, not even Michael Jackson could have done this. Every thing is going in opposite directions, knees, shoulders, hips, feet, hands, everything.

  • @DonnSeib i agree, and not only could he move like no one else, he had one of the greatest voices ever and he had stunning looks!......PERFECT!

  • @DonnSeib my dad is actually an elvis impersonator (oh im sorry they like to be called "TRIBUTE ARTIST" ) baaahahaha anyways yes that IS a difficult feat but ive seen it done many times by my dad and many of his friends!! i can safely say that moonwalking is more difficult!!

    :P

  • Comment removed

  • @DonnSeib Hi I agree with you No one can move like him or sing like him for that matter, Trudy

  • @DonnSeib Hi I agree with you No one can move like him or sing like him for that matter., Simply the best

  • @trudy358

    The best for sure !

  • @DonnSeib I move like that everyday...but unfortunately I suffer from Rickets

  • @DonnSeib Yep, you hit the nail on the head there my friend.

  • @DonnSeib That is because there is nobody like Elvis Presely, there will never be another Elvis<3

  • Elvis is the King, forever!!

    thanks for sharing.

  • elvis es todo un exito¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • his dancing's so cool its like hes on strings

  • Great song. Elvis was the king for many years. Sadly by the end, he was the burger king.

  • Great song. At 1:05 I like when Elvis sings "if you lend me a dollar I can buy some gas and we can go for a little ride".

Back in 1963 you could probably fill your car up with about $5 or $10 worth of fuel today $1 doesn't even buy you a litre of the damn stuff to fill the wipper snipper!!he,he.

  • @MrRockabilly70 Don't forget the inflation. $5 had different value back then.

  • @StandingRedPanda

Well, inflation was actually lower back then than what it is today so no, I haven't forgotten inflation and that's what my original tongue in cheek post was all about! I realise that it's all relative and $5 or $10 was probably a lot of money back then but what I was alluding to in my original post was that the PURCHASING POWER of $5-$10 was a lot higher in 1963 than what it is today. ie. you could buy a lot more things with that kind of money back then compared to today.

  • @MrRockabilly70 Oh, right, I mixed up. You could buy more, not less.

  • @StandingRedPanda

That's okay. Have a good day!

  • Elvis makes beautiful this stupid songs =)

  • Bossa Nova is a beautifull Brazilian dance and song.

However, ELVIS did make this most beautifull...

  • @Andrei1453 Actually, Bossa Nova is a Brazilian music style. It's not a dance, it's not A song.

  • @Julinhaaaa2 I know very well, my friend! I made piano for 6 years and musical theory. However I like most this version of The King! Satisfied?

  • @Andrei1453 No. You should study harder.

  • Such a HUNK!!!!!!

  • Drink, drink, drink oh fiddle dee dink...sweet!!!!

  • well i said to my mom "im doin my homework, my feet feel just like lead." said "mom i got a lot in maths, science, And the sweat poppin' out of my head" She said "Hey Bossa nova baby, you stop workin, and come dancing with me" She said "Hey Bossa nova baby, move your feet, or else you'll find yourself tiger meat" Bossa nova, Bossa nova.
  • this was the highest grossing film of 1963 ! I LOOOOOOOOVE ELVIS !!!!!!!

  • Though I give a "Shout Out " to Elvis !... for this song and for his work in film... he did his thing. * I must say though that "Bossa Nova Baby" was originally recorded by "Tippy and the Clovers". I know this because my Dad sang the background with his then group called the Wisemen and that version is more soulful, for that era... the originators of the "Bossa Nova Baby" !

  • JESUS CRISTO é O REI

  • Great song!

  • awesome!

  • I hadn't watched this movie in its entirety since I was a kid. I had the DVD and popped it in last night and suffered through all the crap that was the rest of the movie just to watch him sing this song and DAYUM!! I wasn't prepared to see him hit those dance moves. FANTASTIC. Glad you posted this here. Elvis was, is and will always be, incredible.

  • Good song buuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuut.......The little cymbals in the tambourines don't work! ELVIS FAIL!

  • @PS3EVH Your a dumbass,Elvis could never fail at anything.

  • Who is the beautiful lady in the green dress ??

  • that will work!

  • Oooooh, this ain't his best lip sync

  • whatta preformer... love the KING... looka those dance moves...

  • when i was a kid i'd watch this movie and viva las vegas all the time and try to imitate his style and mannerisms and everything about him lol.

  • ELVIS IS STILL THE KING !!

  • ELVIS IS STILL THE KING !!

  • Really wish they hadn't cut to the women during this performance

  • Bossa Nova is Brazilian not Mexican

  • Que estupidez de vídeo jejeje quiere cantar bossa nova brasileña en rock gringo, usando mexicanos y con ropa de toreros españoles, pero buena la rola...

  • BEST SONG!!!!!! LOVE U ELVIS

  • WOW he danced just awesome in this movie

  • Love the keyboard solo! Elvis is class! probably the best male, white entertainer ever

  • this performance and elvis' live version of the wonder of you are two very good examples of the fact that he is one of the very few performers in the world who can sing a particular song AND NOT sound corny................he can convey a sincerity in a song that very few other performers, alive or dead can convey...........if any.

  • whatever the syle elvis's the king whaouuuuh

he 'll be the best forever and more

  • Legend !!!!!

  • Awesome, pretty sure this was Elvis favorite of "fun in acapulco".

i saw the movie, but really, those are the only songs of The King i hated!

I mean, he sings good, but thesongs just sucked!

this one is the best 1:57 of the whole movie!

  • ELVIS LIVES

  • and he still being the king!!!! that song is so great and the dance...WOW...fantastic!!!1

  • Elvis è unico e irripetibile!!! Bella canzone e bellissimo film.

  • That mouth, face, eyes, hair....those amazing hips. What a luscious, vibrant, sexy man. And that's not even taking into account his incredible talents and beautiful voice. Often imitated (badly) yet never to be duplicated- an inimitable original was Elvis Presley.
