R34 lost a bit of time on the gear shifts, but its pretty close, if i were to choose the fastest car for my driving style i would pick the r35, Since i wouldnt be able to shift the r34 as quick as the driver did in this video and keep up with the r35. If that r34 had the same tranny as the r35 then that would be an even more interesting race

Drag coefficient is Negligible between the two cars the R34 is .34 and the R35 is .27 horsepower is key here above 300kph is when that would really matter a slippery shape only goes so far.

the skyline's driver takes for ever to shitf to 2nd gear. that gave the gtr a lotof ground. plus the gtr is basicly auto while the skyline is manual!!! it aint that fair of a race.

Take the fact that the R34s launch wasnt the best you could do! I think they are pretty equal tho! However I dont like seeing a skyline or a gt-r for that matter tuned for a drag strip! These cars are designed to be on the track!

@LJStorm on a drag strip with slick tires, a well tuned supra might be able to do that. but on the street with street tires, a 850 hp supra will be lucky to do 0-300 in less than 30 second.

if they were in a one mile race the r35 win easy, cause it pulls away from dig to until 290kph where the r34 finally equal up to speed, but the r35 will probably be too far ahead and take the win easy. by maybe 10 cars length or so.

pause the video a few places and check their speed and you'll see what I mean. here are the result!

pause 13 sec: when the r34 was at 60mph, r35 was already at 72.5 mph.

r34: 100mph, r35: 111.2 mph.

r34: 140mph, r35: 149.3 mph

r34: 170mph, r35 176.8 mph

@Alphabuck its because the r34 even tho its awd, the tires didn't get enough traction just to pull just like the r35 did. But if there was a race again where the r34 didn't spin the tires, the r34 could easily win. plus where are here talking about different engines. while the r34 has an inline 6, the r35 has a v6 twin turbo engine.

Acceleration was similar... more or less. Better power to weight ratio for the R34, better shifts and aerodynamics for the R35. One huge difference is this. R34 needs good hands to shift up quickly.

R35 needs no skills at all. easy job! Just floor it and hold the wheel!

No there not equal, fast shifts only help bottom end not top end. Plus the R34 is almost 200lbs less than the R35 stock and the Kismo R34 has carbon fiber parts as well. Weight matters a whole lot top end trust me a Switzer P1000 R35 would be more even.

Equal ??? Thats Russian Olegs GTR which still weighs at 1,749 Kg and the P800 is around up figure but is dyno to 750BHP and 640 lb ft Torque..... Kismo R34 weights at 1,480 KG and producing 800 BHP thats no where near equal
