For an artist who can make a guitar sound like an orchastra.....it's really relaxing to sit and listen to him just play one as a guitar. The man is one of the greatest guitarists/musicians ever to play. I almost feel bad for anybody who is too young to remeber the 80's

One thing that I have always respected about Eddie since becoming a Van Halen fan is that even with all of the different controversies and issues the band has gone through the past several decades, he's always made it clear he loves his son with all of his innermost being. From this instrumental, to naming his guitar after Wolfgang and having him join the band, you can see how much he loves his son.

He named the song 316 for his son's birthdate, but he performed it live long before that. Checkout his solo during Live Without a Net (1986) He plays it at the very start of his solo while sitting on the edge of the stage.

I have been playing it since he created it in the 80's and only just recently been happy with my replication .
