Answer made simple: in holdem you need to have the best 5 cards hand. You can even use 1 of your cards of your pocket. So, taking a look at this, your opponent wins because he has K as a kicker, and on board there are 2 pair and one of them is higher than ur pair of 3, hope it helped you
