  • Hey Lisa!! Great review! Very helpful! I'm thinking about getting a MAC Cream Color Base to highlight the top of my cheeks and eyebrow bone etc, so just wondered which color you would recommend for me. I'm currently using MAC Studio Fix NC25. Is there a great deal of differnece between Hush, Shell and Pearl...I've tested all three in store, but I was totally confused as to which to buy :) What shade do you feel gives the greatest shimmery glow (without glitter). Thank you x :)

  • @MsShopaholic09 i have all three and i think th ebest one for a highlite is shell(:

  • @MsShopaholic09 I would say to try shell or hush- pearl looks to fake and white in sun! Enjoy!

  • hi lisa! i buy products according to your reviews =)

anyway i have a question for you. i know when people want their cream colour bases to last they set it with a powder blush. and cream colour bases/ cream blush are used on top of foundation that hasn't been set. so how do you set the rest of the foundation if you're only setting the cream blush on your cheeks?

  • if you care concerned you can set your foundation first with a powder then you can put the CCb on and a powder blush or you can just put foundation, ccb and then the powder blush will set it all! :o)

  • do the cream blushes cause breakout? and also how long do they last before they start to dry out?

  • I have not broken out from them but everyone skin is different. I have had some over a year and they have not dried out- you just have to make sure they are sealed properly!

  • just came across this video. really love the way you describe it. ive one cream blush, lady blush. I have a very hard time blending it in. i still havent figured out how to work it. also, it settles into my pores and emphazises it. how do u blend creme blsuh

  • I would suggest getting a good brush for it- I use my 109or my 188 and I tap it in on my apples of my cheeks! I hope that hlep you!

  • hey lisa! Do you think ccb's work well with oily people? I have fairly oily skin and use mufe's mat velvet plus but since I will be going to a wedding soon I kinda want to use something that would give a bit of a sheen above my cheekbones. Do you think that would work fine?

  • yes the CCB's are great on oily skin you dont want to use a cream blush they contain to much oil! Good Luck and enjoy!

  • Thank you for replying so quickly, it helps me out in knowing what to purchase. You rock!!! xoxo I am going to get the Hush soon. I don't think I will be disappointed. xoxo

  • Love ALL of your videos, they are so helpful to me. Quick question, which MAC ccb would you recommend for me to highlight with? I am fair with pink undertones? Thanks!!

  • HUSH is my all time fav to have people start with! AMAZING!

  • very helpful, freakishly bronzed-faced lady. on yr forehead the bronzer should be higher near yr hairline and not in the middle, so it looks more natural.

  • I'm subscribing!

  • yay- tahnks for subbing- I am glad you are enjoying my videos! :o)

  • Hi,i just wanted to ask what do you put on or over blusher to make it stay on all day?

    thanx

  • putting the ccb on under it will help it stay it makes the Powder blush to set! or you can set with a translucent powder! :o)

  • thanks lisa, your are really informative...

  • I am gla dyou enjoyed the video! :o)

  • Hi Lisa,

could you please make a video cream color bases v/s powder blushes? I have dry skin what would you suggest in my case...:) thanks

  • you cant really compare CCB's and powder- theya re totalloy different. CCB's are closer to cream blushes! I hope this helps you! Cream blush is great for dry skin! then you can put powder over them if you want! :o) I Hope this helps you!

  • Thanks for this review; very helpful =)

  • I am glad you enjoyed the review! :o)

  • My MA called them "dewy". It sounds so much more glamorous than "oily". Thanks for a great vid! Which CCBs are not frost? (cheek colours).

  • that is a better choice of words! :o) There are quite a few CCB's that are not frost- you can check the mac website and it will state which ones! :o)

  • Lisa, love you vids, could you pleeez tell me what you use on your eyes. They look natural and fresh. Thanks:)

  • Unfortunelty I taped this so long ago I dont knwo what i was wearing! Sorry! :o( I have started listing my makeup in my newer videos! :o)

  • on nyx creme blushes how would you remove the oil? they are more creamy

  • I have not tried those- I would try a tisue in the package like I do with my palettes! Good luck! :o)

  • i forgot to watch this one great video. i love the CCB even though i only have one (unless u count the female highlighter which ido lol) i HATE mac cream blush nars cream blush feels like a ccb maybe slightly creamy but i loooove the formula it beats the mac one hands down

  • haha! I might have to try the NARS! :o)

  • Hi Lisa, I was wondering which CCB you would recommend to use as a highlight if you have very fair skin? Thanks x

  • I would suggest hush as a light skin highlight! :o) Enjoy and let me know what you think of it!

  • Thank you, I'll give it a try and let you know, I love your channel by the way, I'd like my videos to be as informative as yours one day =) x

  • Thanks so much for the lovley compliment and thanks for watching! :o)

  • i wanted to depot my mac eyeshadows and went to a mac store to get an empty palette, the MA told me that i cant do it.obviously you can because i see everyone doing it on youtube.she was trying to convince me that they would break and told me that they wouldnt fit in the palette and that the pan eyeshadows are a different size than the potted ones.another MA from a diff. mac was the one who gave me the tip to put my shadows in the oven for a bit so they'd be easier to pop out. who is right?

  • I depoted all of mine I used EnKore's no heat method from here in YT! I have cracked a few, but they are ok and they do fit in to the palette's just fine. You just need to make sure and get all of the glue off after you get it out of the pot. Plus make sure you write down what the color is somewhere, because when they are depotted there is no label on them. good luck!

  • thanks so much!

  • Great video as always Lisa! Do you happen to remember what lip product you are wearing in this vid? I know it's been a couple of days. It's absolutely GORGEOUS! Also we are in love with Viva Glam VI lipglass, can't get enough. :)

  • Unfotunetly I have no idea- because I taped it a while ago and just posted it this last week! :o( Sorry- glad you girls are back! Havent heard from you in a while!

  • After getting the CCB's in Tickle Me Pink, Rich Coral, Fresco, and the Emanuel Ungaro one, I went back and got Fabulush and Virgin Isle which is so hard to find now. Thank you so much for the reviews.! What I love about them is that you can alter the color of your powder blush by either making it more pinker, coral, or neutral. That way I don't have to by many blushes. Thanks again, you're awesome!

  • I am glad you enjoy them as much as i do! :o) Virgin Isle sounds interesting- i will have to keeo my eye open at the cco! :o)

  • you always have the best videos for reviews comparisions hauls and everything else! we use a lot of the same products! and i used my finger with my ccb instead of a brush, as you suggested and it definately helped! <3 =]

  • yeah i am glad you enjoy them! let me know if you want a review on anything!

  • thank you Lisa!

  • you got it! Glad you enjoyed! :o)

  • glad it helped you! Thanks for watching! :o)

  • thanks for the review. Do you think that ccb's will work for people with oily skin?

  • I think they will be ok- you should try one first at the store to be sure! I do know people w oily skin that use them and are fine! Good luck! :o)

  • i dont really like cream blushes

i way like ccb's way more

and yay i got hush because of you

    and i love it

i use it as a highlight or blush its lovely

    see u on twitter

oh and my paint stick from MAC PRO came in and i lLOVE it thanks so much :)

  • i love hush it is a hg product for me! Glad you like it and the paint stick (isnt that great!)

  • what foundation are you wearing in this video?....your skin looks great

  • I think it was the Estee lauder max coverage! Enjoy! :o)

  • Your makeup looks sooo pretty in this vid.

  • thank you so much and thanks for watching!

  • Lisa, I notice that you always have this radiance or a glow on your skin... I know you take great care of your skin, but beside having great skin, does this CCB or cream blush do the trick? Or do you use something else to make you skin glowey (like having the perfect amount of sheen)?

  • the ccb does help with that glow without looking oily! :o)

  • Great revie thank you!:)

  • yeah glad you enjoyed it! :o)

  • I am not sure if it was an LE product. but you should try Blossoming Blushcreme.

  • I will look that one up! Thansk for the tip! :o)

  • Thanks Lisa this is great I wanted to know the difference and what I can use my Hush CCB for...thanks!!

  • yeah! Glad it helped you! :o) Hush is a HG for me!

  • really love the review (as always) thanks so much, extremely informative!

  • glad you liked it! thanks for watching and commenting! :o)

  • hi lisa!

do cream blushes get messy in the palette? do u recommend buying them in "the pot" so to speak?

  • I think they would be better in a pot than in the palette- they slide all over when you swirl a brush in them and you need a tissue or they get gross in the palette.

  • LISA!YOUR SKIN IS FLAWLESS :))

  • thank you so much I work hard to get it in good condition! :o)

  • Great video as always! I am loving your new hair.

  • thanks girl! :o)

  • omg u look gorgeous in this vid!

but then again u always do =)

  • Great video! What do you think of lilicent?

  • it is actually a good color- great for a neutral cheek! :o)

  • HI LISA! are the ccb's easy to blend?!

  • yes- I have never had any problem blending them! enjoy!

  • I love the ccb's. I've don't have any cream blushes because I always think the testers look gross at the counter/store. They just seem messy and oily to me. I'll stick with my powder blushes, beauty powders, and ccbs. Thanks for the comparison video.

  • I think that is a great odea- I am not going to buy any more cream blushes- that palette is goign to remain as is! :o)

  • this video was awesome...i want to get a CCB in Pearl, i've heard it's pretty as a high light

  • I have pearl too and I do use it but hush is just more naturla looking on my skintone! :o) Enjoy pearl!

  • Hi... I just got the ungaro in a swap but now I'm scared to try it if it's oily?? Is it.. will it break me out... eek!! how do you like it? never used ccb before x

  • it wont break you out I dont think I am pretty sensitive and I havent have any problems-- it just blends better which you need with the brighter colors. I love the ungaro!

  • Oh excellent! Just what I wanted to hear! thanks xx

  • lovely review, actualy i do love hush myself, its awsome. could u do a review on paintpots plz

  • I have a review on blackground paint pot coming up that I taped- after you watch that let me knwo if you still want a review on anything on paint pots! :o) I am in love w hush! :o)

  • Good information, thanks. Haven't bought any cream blushes, but probably will try the bases first now. Love whatever you have on your eyelids too. (What is it?)

  • I totally would buy a ccb over the cream blush anyday! I think it is all that glitters on my lid here! :o)

  • That was great. I love my ccb's, blushcreams break me out :( I never realised how oily they were until I saw the tissue you use to cover them.

    Thanks :)

  • yeah I didnt realize how oily they were until then either! :o( I will not buy any more- that palette will reamin half full of cream blushes! I love my ccb's though!
