Your dance is beautiful. Your attitude, however, is not. It seems to me that the purpose of cotillions and debutante parties is to indicate that young women are ready to take their place in society as adults. My suggestion would be that you accept the imitators with grace, and with the understanding that you are apparently a role model for them, and leave out the profanity that is a detraction from what you have accomplished here.

a lot of cotillions do solos so you don't really need to ask but thanks anyways :P

well if the person "copies" the dance but doesn't claim the choreography as their own work, then i think it's okay, or when they asked for permission to use it or give credit.

and even though she's not going to be there, it does matter. the choreography was made by her, and she probably must have spent hours choreographing it.

and without her, there would be no dance to "steal" or "copy" or use, so i think it's something people should be thankful about

but really, what can you expect nowadays? especially in the internet it's really easy to just steal someones work without him/her knowing it.

all i am trying to say is, that you shouldn't take it to heart.. look at it this way: be proud that someone else thought of your cotillion to be beautiful enough to use it.. it's not an excuse or anything, just stating the facts..

i agree with you for the most part, i already know that "swinging back and forth" doesn't make a waltz a waltz; it's more of the step-pattern. i also i already knew the possibility of people stealing my waltz when i posted it. lastly, i already know that my waltz was super-easy because, i'll admit, we had make it easier for some of my court members because they've never done the waltz before.
