Okay, why spend money on this when we can just make driving school tougher on everyone? We can't just let any retard grab a $20,000 car and just smash it due to carelessness. Letting idiot drivers on the road is why we have rush hours and crappy traffic. it's nice that you put some work into this system, but it's totally unnecessary. It means that no matter how good a driver you are -- you can't avoid it. A drunk crosses the line and is coming head on, a kid runs out and you intentionally stear into a parked car to avoid them, etc. In such cases, what idiot wouldn't want the break to be applied (sooner and/or more forcefully) and the seat belt tightened ahead of time?
Video needs to explain what kind of objects will trigger the radar system. I doubt rain or hail would do so but it would be good to know if a large bird flying past would send the car into an automated tire screech.
well a bird is only going to trigger the sensor for a split second. While the car infront will be infront foratleast acouple of seconds. Not only that the distance of the car infront to the prius will get shorter and shorter... i ASSUME this is how it works.
