Terrorists might claim self defense or revenge but we are also not allowed to kill innocent people we are told to fight while not crossing the line as well. Those christians are not true christians then so you also cannot criticize Christianity on the actions of a select few christians. Such a person (as you have stated) would not act immorally if there wasn't a Godly influence. You can't just determine what is 'good' and 'bad'. It's not within your mind to judge whether murder is a good thing or a bad thing. Not unless God has influenced you to hold ethics which dispell murder. So not recognising God, even from this simple analogy, would have meant you have denied His existance.
