I spent two years of my life in this beautiful island....I came back 3 years ago and found it completely ruined by hotels and houses, expecially in the Dutch part! What a pity....instead Anguilla is beautiful as always; nontheless, Sint Maarten will always remain in my heart and most sweet thoughts

My Mom is from Saba, I saw St.Maarten as a child visitor and love the pictures of the 50's and 60's.Guess we call it progress? Stayed at what was know as the "Little Bay" Hotel in P'Burgh back then. We also took a Schooner named Blue Peter to Saba. Great times,my Mom and Dad were adventurers and took us kids along.GREAT PRESENTATION!! Ken, Toronto Canada.Keep up the fight !!

I really enjoyed this video and it's dark ending. I thought it was going to complain about the over development of the Island and it's traffic problems but I guess Global Warming will solve both of those issues. Otherwise it is a fantastic happening little Island with a great music scene going on at Grand Case on the "Harmony Nights". It would be a shame to see it go under.

Very moving indeed. Cars on St. Maarten is quite the problem, but thats also because our public transportation is just so bad... I have more need for a car in little St. Maarten than i do in the much larger Holland - I can happily take the bus in Holland, SXM is a different story...

But there is hope - With gebe charging so much damn money for electricity and gas prices so damn high, soon no one will be able to afford it and nobody will use them! Hooray for market forces! :)
