@EuropeanNinja Once Sergei told me a story, someone asked him why they are in such a shape and he answered that he can put curtain on them and doesn't have to look at some people if he doesn't want to:)
absolutely fantastic!!! I also play this piece on the piano and it is a real honour as in this mazurka Chopin expresses his feelings as being an expatriate in France not able to return to his country Poland because of the civil war...
The rhythmic intuition here is reminiscent of Friedman, the ease of phrasing of Rubinstein, and an overall sense of atmosphere and communication entirely unique. We are grateful for such other-worldly performances becoming available here online.
