  • not bad but you need to work on a better posture and you need to work on when you should breathe.

  • Your alright, just try to work on your tone because it isn't too crash hot

  • bravo

  • I know I'm a bit late on this video, but I like how you sound. I was self taught myself (until I got to college, now I have to have lessons). I agree with the tips given to you here, except one. I used to breath low and its a good tactic, but don't be hesitant to let your chest expand when you inhale, that is where your lungs are. The tension comes when you let your shoulder rise, so don't let em :) Good playing!

  • Where did you get the Music? Do you have a Bb Arrangement? Could you possibly send it to me?

BTW you are good for no lessons

  • @TheBrownie10 hey thanks for the comments :) I'll see if I can find the Bb part in our band library

  • @columbia359 thanks that would be great!

  • its a besson Eb tuba, thanks for your nice comments guys, i know I'm not grade 8 but I have a good time playing with my band, we've just been to germany to play at wine festivals

  • awesome :)

  • chaveirotuba you suck he did good

  • What model of tuba is that!!! I have to have one. The sound is awesome! Not to mention you play pretty darn great as well.

  • To anyone else who wants to slag off my video.. I don't proclaim to be a proffessional player, I have never had a lesson on the tuba, I'm self taught so I don't think I do too bad..

  • @columbia359 Sounds good! Something I would suggest is achieving a more "open" sound, by opening your throat as much as possible. Try not to pinch the center of your embouchure, instead form the corners of your mouth tight and keep the center relaxed, as though you were saying "too." When it comes to breathing, think about breathing low, below your chest. Raising your chest can increase tension, when you want to be as relaxed as possible. Keep it up, and practice hard!!

  • be carefull with the articulations, and you have to get better sound, try long notes every day ;)
