  • thats videos helps me alot of breaking grabs i have to think which throw animation the opponete do like 2+4 most or 1+3

  • 2:40 Dragunov: "Shiiiit!"

  • How do you break Lars' UF 3+4(hold) throw? I've done it by accident a number of times but could never figure out how.

  • Comment removed

  • Its 1/5th of a second. Sorry too much time doing fractions.

  • It's almost impossible to break throws online.

  • Hwoarang has a 214+x throw and a 66 + /\, which are both escapable if you press square or triangle, respectively.

  • To develop good throw breaking you need to add other non-throw attacks to the defensive mode, this gives the best increase in reaction time for a real match.

  • I hate it when people online spam grabs :s..

Im just not fast enough to break throws.. Sometimes I do it, But I always go for 1, Its a reflex, and I can break 1+2 grabs, they are more noticable.. But sometimes when Im under pressure, I get grabbed all over the place..

I guess nobody is perfect lol.. Although I would love to be able to stop people who spam grab me! It would keep me calm, and I wouldnt break my controllers ahahah!! Thanks for this video!!

  • if i remember well king has a throw that requires the imput 1+3 to scape

  • @ColdTristan Everyone does.

  • @ColdTristan Sorry I meant everyone has one that requires 1 to escape

  • Hwo has a 1+2 throw from BT, too.

  • Good to see you back Byakko.. Great job..!! :D

    Hoping for lots more.. ^_^

  • This is why when me and my friends play we have a "NO Throw" rule unless I'm playing King then I'll throw there asses as much as I fucking feel like it T_T.

  • Too hard. Escaping throws requires the reactions of a God.

  • @rrwryan you don't need the reactions of a god. You just need to practice throw breaking constantly while playing. I'm not gonna lie and say that it isn't difficult though

  • @rrwryan Yeah it's like landing a perfect parry on Street Fighter 3, except harder xD

  • oh cool. i was thinking about actually taking tekken seriously, this is a good start.

  • Since i main King, i use throws quite often. I recently started using either "square, triangle" or "Down forward circle, X" and immidiately do a "giant swing" works well most of the time. The only chain throw im using is the one that starts with "reverse special stretch bomb" since it can be done from all angles while sidestepping and can be cancelled into a middle launcher. But i cannot escape throws (chain throws too). My reflexes are not that good i guess. Nice Videos!

  • As a Professional Tekken Player, I know all of this, but it was done very well for Beginners to understand.

  • @Shirdel7221 So modest lol

  • put out more tekken!

  • hey can anyone pls tell me what those channels created by CALLOFDUTY are supposed to prove? :

Thumbs up if it worked !

  • Blink 182 was cool back....I don't know if Blink182 was ever cool actually...

  • tekken hybrid is gna be the shiiiiiiiiiiiiit

  • Great video, but people hardly throw. It's all about the juggles baby.

  • @ZaCkOX900

Umm...no. The best players make the most of their character. If you seriously think Tekken is all about juggles then you don't know Tekken.

To be honest here, I was expecting something different. Anyone who actually knows Tekken also know that almost everything shown here is common sense to them. We all know it's about which hand is extended, thing is though, when you're playing against someone really good, everything happens somewhat faster and you miss the animation.

  • @LeXiO88 ya and you assumed i'm a tekken-idiot when in fact I'm a tekken master. I been playing Tekken since it first came out in the arcade. King and Paul were my first picks. But anyway, yes juggles do heck of a lot of damage. Don't get me wrong, throws can break the opponents that guard well and great to rush in with when they are down. BUT juggles greatly pay off with damage. In the first Tekkens throws were more useful but not as much anymore. Escaping is easy, you can slap lp-rp mostly.

  • @ZaCkOX900

I didn't assume, I simply said if you think Tekken is a juggle game, then you are wrong. There is more to Tekken than just being able to juggle opponents. Like the video pointed out, inputting the wrong escape button will get you thrown. You can't just slap lp or rp and escape, that's a luck game. Tekken isn't a luck game. Tekken 5 was probably the best, Tekken 6 added that bounce that IMO, ruined the game. I still play 6 but 5 is just much better overall.

  • @LeXiO88 I'm wrong? Have you been to tournaments and played high ranked people? They don't throw, they rarely do it. And yes you can slap lp > rp in a thumb press and still get out easily. I just do it right before they throw and it works often. That is why I rely heavily on LP+RP throws. They aren't so easy to get out of. On top of that, throwing has to be close and if your opponent is really good, he knows it is coming. An easy hit in the air and I take 50-75% of your health gone.

  • @ZaCkOX900

I believe there is no real rank. Even a top ranked player can be beat by a low ranked player. Like I said, it's still a luck game if you're just slapping lp and/or rp. Even though it works at times, it's luck based. A Tekken master can press the right button to escape without relying on luck.

Regardless of range, almost all hits will be close range. You can't sit back and fire away like in SF, Tekken isn't like that. Throws are just frowned upon.

  • @LeXiO88 There you go again, thinking I don't know Tekken as well as I do. I play ALL characters, moku mostly. There are some good pop up moves with each character that can use medium range and give proper blocking afterwards. Up close would be speed, much like Law but in Tek 6 they realized he was overpowering. So Tek 5 removed a few of his fast hit moves. The D+RP, RK was a devastating move as you would think Law was done hitting and then this one pops you in the air. Nina was also dubbed bad.

  • @ZaCkOX900

So a good player is able to play all characters? No, the best players are the ones who use a certain character and are able to win matches over and over again. It's not about playing all characters. Thing with Tekken 6 is that it's become to much of a juggling game. Tekken 5 wasn't too bad, but 6 encourages juggling a great deal, too much I believe. All characters have a couple good amount of launchers or juggle starters, that's a given though, especially with Tekken 6.

  • @LeXiO88 A good player wins almost all his matches. Doesn't matter who I play computer, human and I play all characters very good. I played each character through Tekken and adapted to the next Tekken which doesn't have many new characters, refresh the current ones, write all juggles down, refer to book and practice lots. My best character is Paul, because I time the phoenix smashers very well. Again I only use throws when necessary, mostly stunners is what I do to pressure the player.

  • @ZaCkOX900 so you know how to play every character? and by that I mean know how to poke, block punish, whiff punish, and use staple combos when you get the chance? this I gotta see.......

  • @kman2390 Why is it that amazing? There are other people that can play every character and know all the juggles and stunners with them too. You guys act like it is unbelievable. I enjoy picking people's character and beating them up with it. I can't be the only one.

  • @ZaCkOX900 I gotta see it to believe it, because A LOT of people talk like they know everything about tekken, but actually they don't know shit

  • @kman2390 Well I don't have a capture card but soon I will. I will tell you what should make you believe me. The key to winning is pressuring your opponent and pulling off moves that pop them into the air. But that is pretty much common sense. I do a lot of mid moves as you pretty much have to block, can't duck. Some high moves cause the opponent to stun when blocking, and I mix small pop up combos with that. Example: Law... F+LP, RP, LK, D+RP, RK or you can continue before using D+RP, RK.

  • @ZaCkOX900 why in the hell would you use d+2,3? every "decent" player knows that move is death on block

  • @kman2390 I didn't say d+2, 3 I said d+2, 4, and yes it can be death by block if you do stupidly. Your supposed to add it to a mix of combos, the opponent thinks your done and then they get popped up in the air.

  • @ZaCkOX900 Wrong..............D+2,4 isn't even a move with Law, but yet you know how to play with everyone. If you did, you wouldn't be typing up wrong inputs

  • @kman2390 ah like I said earlier. Law was too fast in Tk5, they removed the move. It was a very good one. They removed a lot of nina's moves too.

  • @ZaCkOX900 Wrong again, it's not a move in T5 either

  • @kman2390 Then it's left kick. I would check but my Tekken 5 and 6 is borrowed out. Either way you should know what move I'm talking about. The frames in it are fast, the punch stops quick moves and the flip kick pops them in the air. Then you use law to combo them towards the wall, and do the punch combos, 1,1,1,2,3 from what I remember near the wall. I can't remember if you have to hold forward to get the knee in there. 1,1,1, f+2, 3 if not the first one.

  • @kman2390 it's a high crushing CH launcher, it has it's uses

  • @KNitro123 very few uses....

  • @kman2390 exactly right

  • @ZaCkOX900 Paul rules!!

  • @darkspartan86 yea except sadly now he isn't as great anymore. But he was over powering in the first 2 tekkens. Balanced in Tekken 3... and then juggling came into play and now he's one of the weaker ones for creating a lot of damage with juggling... except wall juggling is very good.

  • @ZaCkOX900 I completely agree with that, but its us players that stick with him and make other people take notice!

  • @darkspartan86 I try to stick with him, sometimes the opponent is really good and I have to bring out a character that will juggle better. But I Paul very good.

  • @LeXiO88 Your so right dude, throws in tekken is like a disrespectful bitch slap to the face lol

  • @LeXiO88

You can't even distinguish bounce and bound, mr. Tekken5izbetta.

  • @Nejimelliko

Bounce, bound? I swear, idiots do say some funny things. Bounce and bound is irrelevant to what Tekken 6 is. Don't even try replying back, idiots aren't worth a second look.

  • @LeXiO88

I don't even know what you wanted to say. Tekken 6 doesn't have bounce, neither bound? And I assume you insulted me. Anyways, bound and bounce is different things. Have a good day.

  • is tekken 2 on xbox 360 or ps2 because i fkn loved that game

  • @iljang123 ps2 i think...tekken one was for PSX and my friend got tekken 2 for PS2

  • @KNDnumbuh0 tekken 1 2 and 3 where for ps1 tekken 4 5 and tag where for ps2 =]

  • @KNDnumbuh0 sweet best tekken in my opinion gotta love bowing crocodiles :D

  • Fucking love Tekken!

  • roses are red

    violets are blue

    First I thought LOL

But then I was like FUUUUUUUUU

  • I have to say, compared to other fighting games, Tekken does take the most memorization since each character has around 100 or more different moves to use. I respect people who take the time to learn all that

  • @VuvuHero Still cant beat the mythical KOF.
