  • not to be trolling but this is a terrible 2wf build =/

  • accuracy is greater then power

  • You need endurance more than anything...good speed and agility is better than any acceleration at all. My guy had 94 speed, 99 endurance, and 84 agility, and is faster than a guy with 94 speed and 99 acceleration and 65 agility

  • This is a horrible build. Any good player that play 6's would have 99 puck control and deking.

  • @A9J1 yap if u are sniper

  • @Terroristi69PSN No with a TWF. I'm on a top 30 club on 360 and we only play 6's. This is a horrible TWF build.

  • @NHLVet,

Hey dude, nice vid. I sorta need your help for this. I have a left winger that i use almost every game. He is a sniper atm, but I think I might change it. I usually score 2-5 goals a game, and assist 1-3 per game. I am a right handed atm, and I'm about 6"10. What would be a good build for my person? I have almost 3000 points for every sector, so I can max out anything I want to. I'd appreciate it if you give some exact answers, but any counts. I will also suscribe if you answer. Ty!

  • @FyReExTrEmE I also poke check, body check, and stick lift ALOT. I am both offensive and and defensive. Thanks!

  • playmaker is the best playertype, u have so much offense, and u can still have 86 def awr and 86 stick check and 99 faceoffs wit like all 99 offensive attributes except shots, i avg 3.6 ppg wit that setup

  • Endurance should be higher then speed so you can keep the speed the whole game.

  • Comment removed

  • What the Stick cheking does ?!

  • playmaker ftw, i fuck shit up, and provide amazing defence still, no other way is better,

  • this is probably a stupid question but how to I get more points to add to my build?

  • @saynotoemo84 you have to level up by playing games winning games and by getting your grade up

  • What's your opinion as a PWF center?

  • @SpontaneousOwl Shouldn't happen, a C is your most defensive forward, leave the PWFing to your wingers

  • @NHLVet Funny.. I must be a noob xD I made a PWF center... :x I mean, I play just fine with him but.. Idk o:

  • HOW do all these attributes cost so little xp? For my character it's like 235 just to increase stick lifts. I have NHL 12 and my dude is only 73 overall, rookie season in the NHL.

  • @TomaNistor This is for online. What you're describing is your single player be a pro. Seperate characters/methods of leveling up.

  • Hmmm so smart 2 not waste points in offensive awareness....NOT u obviously don't know how useful That stat is..... same with defensive awareness.

  • If you skill Bodycheck without skilling agression its useless.

  • @manofhisword88 This is false. Aggression affects "intimidation" in the game. AKA if you get hit by a guy w/. 99 aggression your players ability will be affected more. 99 Strength+99 Body checking will have the same PHYSICAL result as 99 strength+99 checking+99 aggressiveness

  • @NHLVet I heard about that before. But honestly i never recognize that my players attributes droped, because i took many hits. Iam not saying that you're are wrong, but i never experienced it before. I already heard that aggression affects your poke check, what can you say about that?

  • with legend 2 card u should be able to get ur forwards to atleast 85.. my playmaker center is 87, 2 way forward left wing is 87, 2way forward rw is 86... o yea try to set your stick to whip flex and use the toe curve blade to get top right shots over goalie all day

  • Just a heads up, acceleration is useless. Leave your rating at 65. Don't believe me? Put your acceleration at 90 and see if there is a difference. There isn't. Speed and agility are everything in this game.

  • Good video! Thanks!

  • do offensive Dman.

  • hello NHLvet,

i know this video is a bit old already, butdoes this work as well with left wingers? :)

  • @Pinata310 Yes! But I would suggest maybe trying a PWF for LW. The reason why this is a Center build is the faceoffs, and the Center needs the most defensive attributes due to the responsibility of his position. LWs are a little more free in the defensive zone and on the forecheck. Maybe I'll make a LW PWF vid tonight when I'm bored

  • @NHLVet OK bro, thank you very much! Nice to see you care :) And sure, make one if you want :)

  • How did you get so much xp. my team has played twenty games and we're getting no xp after games. We've only won one game, and don't know how to get better

  • No aggressiveness it durability?

  • Thanks, NHLVet! This helped me build a GREAT forward!

  • Please check out my channel for EASHL gameplay! Also a new Sniper build! Thanks!

  • Do you get more exp in the NHL 12 version when you first start? I just started a TWF in NHL 11 and I am like a 70 overall and I have much less exp to dump into skills than you do.

    Thanks and regards

  • @albertabeefcowboy84 this is eashl not the be a pro offline mode

  • @nOOb1hunter

    oh, ok thnx

  • Discipline doesn't affect stick related penalties.. stick checking does.

  • Playmaker also makes a good center. Accuracy>Power, and endurance is very important, IF you use it correctly, otherwise go acceleration. I have almost base acceleration tho.

  • endurance isn't important? i've always thought it was a pretty big factor.

  • you should put your endurance up so your player doesnt start slugging and going slow when you skate to much

  • i still dont understand how you get that many xp points...

  • @xdeathfusionx goto "performance tracker" underneath the my pro option. You'll see what I mean. Message me if you are still having trouble.

  • @xdeathfusionx Play games and win games! at the end of each game it will tell you what you need to do for your next card, and thats how you get xp, by unlocking cards

  • my center build: -deking 90 -hand eye 88 -off awareness 89 -passing 95 -puck control 90 -slappers are 60 -wrist acc 85 -wrist pow 85 -aggress 60 -hitting 80 -def awar 95 -discpline 90 smthng -faceoff 99 -fighting 50 -shot block 80 -stick check 90 -acceleration 65 -agility 85 -balance 90 -durability 60 -endurance 95 -speed 85 -strength 85 overall 86, height 191cm weight 89kg... Good at everything except slapshots!!!
  • @Timbee3 No one cares

  • @MaxiMorrow1 oh Im broken now. duh

  • @Timbee3 What?...

  • Does deking only have an impact on 'loose puck' dekes?

  • @mattyyp6 nope! It helps out with how fast you can deke from forehand to backhand on breakaway moves

  • lol i have the same overall as atwo way forward with a superstar 3 card

  • Hand eye has nothing to do with accepting passes picking up the puck or intercepting the puck that you off and def awareness

  • @spezzafan26 ouch man, NHLVet has feelings too you know

  • @spezzafan26 Actually hand eye does help with accepting and intercepting saucer passes.

  • And hand eye has nothing to do with intercepting passes or accepting passes that's you offensive awareness and defensive awareness

  • @spezzafan26 and hand eye DOES have to do with accepting hard, short passes. But I'm not gonna clog the comments here with arguing :)

  • @NHLVet yeah it does with hard short passes but not with intercepting passes as much. Doesnt help with picking up a loose puck

  • Actually I don't agree with you body checking has nothing to do with getting knocked over and offensive awareness is important you need it to pick up the puck in the offensive zone and I don't care If you have 4000 points your probably a glitch goaler with no life

  • @spezzafan26 he doesnt have that many

  • what are the main stats I should focus on as a 2 way forward (RW)?

  • Hey man, I have a lot of respect for you making these videos. And I feel that you have pointed out a lot of great things. But I have to respectfully disagree with you on Endurance. I believe it helps and it doesn't just apply to the last 5 minutes of the game, it allows you to skate up the ice while still being able to get back to play defense, which as a two way forward is crucial. Also, speed is basically nullified if your player doesn't have the stamina to get up and down the ice repeatedly.

  • @Shawsby7 I have changed my stance on endurance ..but will point out i didnt put it into my build until Legend 3 lol. It DOES have an effect, I agree.

  • How many games and what overall did you have to get Legend 1?

  • @DekeandDyke 150 Games and you need an A- for all legends. 250 for legend 2, and 350 for legend 3 and then you've hit cap

  • Does discipline actually do anything in this game? I know last year, all it did was let you get away with elbowing and that's it...so I'm not sure if I want to waste my points there. Most of my penalties are slashing/high sticking.

  • Regina pats eh? saskatoon FTW!

  • ummm anyone else notice there's some guys with like 100+ games but only a 66 overall, and they're like jacked... is there an attribute glitch already\?

  • GOOD JOB NHLVet....some of these guys just get a bit too deep! Book writers in the making haha. Thanks for the info pal.

  • Hey dude thanks for the vid, I've been messing around with different builds and just a couple questions.. 1, deking only 80 or so? shouldn't you have it at least 90 to pull off the more advanced dekes and such.. or which one do you normally use? and off awareness was only at 70, is that stat just not that meaningful :S.. thanks for the tip on endurance though..ill stop wasting that. and I thought shot blocking only afffected how fast you lie down and get back up..thanks a lot!

  • @link1567 I don't do the advanced dekes in game, and another user pointed out to me that you don't NEED high deking to pull them off. I haven't tested it myself but he seemed sure. The deking attribute is more of just going back hand/forehand quickly. Off. Awareness is just not meaningful, like you said. And shot blocking does affect getting up/down but low shotblock also means you always do the stand up block. High blockers will be more likely to do a quick down on 1 knee block (more effective)

  • I'm a free agent looking for a team. You interested?

  • 93 wrist power ? overkill imo. I've never needed more than 80-85... unless you're the type who makes his living of EA's glitchy goalies. argh he is toe-dragging and I'll never learn that he shoots top-corner everytime. Not saying you are glitcher... but there are a lot of those kids out there.

  • @Misanthropic9 my snap shots are lethal @ 93 power

  • I tried this out and it works great, im always a + player now and averaging 2 points per game :) great vid

  • Are you stupid? You NEED endurance in this game, you will be so much slower then everyone else online its not even funny. NOBODY LISTEN TO THIS GUY HE DONT KNOW WHAT HES DOIN

  • @cwitufu LOL. Someone didn't hugged enough as a young'n. Endurance is not that important, try playing without it. If going "so much slower" for 5 minutes per game kills your game then your game is just bad. Try passing it instead of going for cherry pick break away goals all game! No endurance used on my guy since NHL 09 and I have have 5000+ games played since then and over 13,000 points! Try it out yourself before you berate people over the internet :)

  • @cwitufu What I am really trying to say is, though, try it before you deny it. The 100s of points you spend on endurance to not slow down for the end 5 mins of the game can be used to pump up other stats that you can use for the other 55 minutes of the game. I've wanted to make a "How important is endurance" video like my spd/acc one but setting it up would be a bit more complicated.

  • Endurance > Balance dont put anything on Balance people say it helps you take hits and all but i dont see that.. but endurance is the hustle button and your guy wont hang his head 2min into a period. i keep balance 65.

  • As of what I've seen and heard, discipline does not affect your slashings and tripping, but only the hits related penalties (elbowing, charging, etc.). Stick checking increases the accuracy of your poke checks / sticks lifts AND reduces the chances of them missing, therefore getting a penalty!

  • Good video, but why no endurance?

  • @RRugMuncher Becoming a little bit slower at the end of the game doesn't affect me as my team and I play a game based on smart passing and opening lanes. Would rather use endurance points in things like balance or agility. Becoming a little bit slower for 3-5 minutes at the end of the game doesn't bother me. I am thinking of doing a video on the effect of endurance because a lot of people out there seem shocked that I don't use it (and never have, ever)

  • @NHLVet I see, I guess trying a game without it wouldnt hurt.

  • People who want to play a fair competitive game challenge "legend slayers" sla

  • Hey man. First off, I love your vids. Also, I would love to have a game with you. I can't find any clubs that actually play the game right. It'd be awesome if we could play.

  • Having bodycheck helps you not get hit also ? I thought only balance and strenght prevented getting hit

  • 1st, and btw - YOU ARE SO COPING 2BCPRODUCTIONS

  • @Luddeeeeeeeeee I'm "coping" him eh? I have about 30 inbox people asking ME to make these videos and comments of people asking. He has great videos, if you like his videos better, by all means check his out. There shouldn't be a limit to the amount of NHL 12 help videos out there.

  • @NHLVet u tell him

  • @Luddeeeeeeeeee How is this copying when they are vastly better then any other NHL vids. I'd say the other guy copied off NHLVets how to play defense video, almost word for word actually. He just trying to help noobs.

  • @Luddeeeeeeeeee 2BCProductions LITTERALLY ripped off NHLVet's How to play Defense video word for word.

  • @Luddeeeeeeeeee Look at this turbo virgin

  • @Luddeeeeeeeeee I'm pretty sure there's multiple ways to build a player type and find success with it. I wasn't aware Mr. Superbman was the greatest online NHL player in the universe, and his build was the only option to do well.
