yes, it is based on The Settlers 3 and 4, actually its pretty much the same game but for iPhone and in my opinion The Settlers 3 was the best game in the series ... after that the games become too "realistic", I really prefer this cartoony style and the tiny fat people :D

but I got a question @MASKdk : Is it possible to play a random game like a free game besides the missions in the campaign?

the key to defence is to build as many towers and fill em up with troops as quickly as possible.. that way, every assult made by the enemy will be killed fairly quick .. castles are the best.. fill em up with level 3 soldiers.. =)

OMGGGG The quest " The magic from the south" in Roman campaign was so harddd! First, i started building forester hut, woodcutter to speed up the building process. and follow by building all kinds of food and then mineral mine. Next i build a barrack and also weapon and tools maker. I have no idea why the army production was so slowww. previous campaign i manage to produce 100 and more army but this time lvl only 30-40 and the enemy keep attacking. i tried bringing 40 army to attack but failed.

@ChaosAddict33 I guess so. Its only 4 euro so you wouldnt really be wasting your money. I used to play it on my old computer (my new one is a windows 7 and the game itself is for XP) and I loved it. The graphics were really good and I usually love simulation games like such. When I started playing the game on my iPhone like 2 days ago I was like meh and the way the graphics werent as good but then it got good with all the missions =P

So to answer your question, yes, it is worth buying.

EPIC TIPS:

You don't need 1 peice of armour for every soldier. That is only with thesquad leaders (I made the mistake of doing the opposite). If you are running out of wood make a foresters hut. He basically plants loads of trees so ul never run out. If it seems ur coal fields are depleted use some geologists to go over it again. :)

@hartzner4life Get shovels so they can use them. Get shovels from toolsmith. tool smith needs coal and iron bars. Iron bars need coal and iron ore. Iron and coal ore needed from mines. Mines need food. Then go to your settlers menu. ( bottom right corner. ) Press the "+" sign. Then click pioneers. Have fun.,

@GersainInDaBrain Lower right corner, tap the little plus sign + icon and choose Pioneer. Order as many as you need, but if you don't have any free settlers then build a residence first. If you don't have any shovels, build a Toolsmith and order some. In other words, if you don't have what's required then you won't get any Pioneers.
