  • I am a bit critical about Flavia, sometimes she doesn't mould the partner well enough, seems depending on pertner's natural tarent rather than making effort to correct posture or body contact. And her choreography only showcase herself but not her pertners and often too complicated for beginners :-(. The judges already pointed that Jimi is overdoing in his movement on week1, then same happend this week for Rumba. I don't think this couple would go as far as people initially expected.

  • a very good dance for only a couple of weeks training, I think nit picking at this stage is a bit stupid

  • Brilliant second dance by Jimi and Flavia! He really got the performance right and felt the music. Like Craig said he really lead it too which is very good for only the second week in! Disagree with the person who said there was a lot of gapping...I think he managed to stay very close to her all the way through, the only point where they were slightly apart was when they were doing a section out of proper hold.

  • Brilliant dance from Flav and Jimi. Best foxtrot of the night...they saved the best until last.

  • @Daffodilly2 Sorry, but I don't agree with you. If you look, there is a constant gap between Flavia and Jimi and this makes their hold, totally wrong.

  • @fschnell their marks and the judges, along with me and many others, don't agree with you.

  • @misslaughalot1995 1. The couple has danced in closed position only for 45 sec (00:45 - 01:30), that's about the half of the whole routine.

    2. They keep the closed position only during the poses, whenever they start to move they fall apart, you can observe a 10 cm gap between them.

    3. Flavia is an excellent dancer and only because of her great skills is she able to correct the movement when Jimi drags her out of her center at 1:37.

Of course, this only my opinion.

  • @fschnell it is only week two!! I'm sure Flavia can iron out little kinks like that for their other dances :)

  • @fschnell it's a shame your not a judge yourself, you could replace Alesha, your observation of the gap is outstanding

  • This was one of the more laboured performances of the night. Lacked grace. He looked stupid and seemed to ignore Flavia's presence.Seems to enjoy the show but far too far too full of himself. Like last year poor Flavia has been landed with a dud who thinks he can dance.

  • @TheHughLundy Thats the impression you get when watching this video], however they really seem to get along great when you watch there training footage.

  • @sweetblond91 Thanks you are probaly right that they can have fun & get on in training. I still fear Flavia has been given a partner that thinks he is beter than he is in fact. It will be interesting to watch him in future ballroom dances and see how he reacts.

  • @TheHughLundy i completely disagree.

  • @misslaughalot1995 Fair enough everybody has their own opinion that's what makes life so interesting .From what we have seen so far Jimi Mistry really believes he is as good a dancer if not better than Flavia. He's a nice man and good actor but wake up and smel the roses dance wise. There are plenty of faults in his dance and I'm sorry if you can't see them.

  • @TheHughLundy you're right everybody does have their own opinion, unfortunately for you, your comment just falls flat. At what point in the show was there any suggestion from Jimi that he was a better dancer than Flavia?

  • @MegaRupertBear The very fact he has clearly chosen to ignore Flavia's experience and guidance. Gone off and done his own thing. As I say he's a nice man good actor but not a good enough dancer. He should be glad to learn from such a dancer as Flavia. Let's hope he was over ambious and not sure a fool as Craig who Flavia had to suffer last year.

  • @TheHughLundy at what point in the dance is there an apparent fact that he chose to ignore her and gone off and done his own thing? I disagree with your comment but if you can tell me where and at what time either words are mentioned or something happened which suggests it, then I would appreciate it.

  • @MegaRupertBear The point there he ignores Flavia are for instance when they take hold. at 55 Seconds at 1minute 07 andI wil be fair and say maybe he is conten this is the worst example from 1 minute 15. I will be fair and say maybe he's so busy watching what he's doing thats a fault but I believe he thinks deep down he doesn't need to take instruction from Flavia. Again i've nothing against him

  • @TheHughLundy Yes I'm sure that the actor learning to dance feels he doesn't need to listen to the professional dancer who is teaching him, and who he gets on with really well.

  • @TheHughLundy also with regards to you saying he is ignoring her...he is in hold at those times! He's not meant to look down at her, his head is exactly where it is meant to be looking...when they break hold at the beginning of the dance and at the end when Flavia goes into the spin, then he is completely focussed on her. I'm afraid I can't see what you are.
