  • I have a question: can the EXACT same mold (statue), be cast as solid bronze, as ceramic only, and as bronze-coated ceramic?

The reason for my question is I bought a statue on eBay that is listed as "solid bronze"...but after I bought it, someone posted an identical one, same size, shape, color, etc...but said it was "bronze-plated ceramic".

The final question...How can I tell it is all bronze without breaking it open (it is on a marble base)? The sound of the ring???

    Please let me know

  • You say this is a Renoir??? Can you explain the process you go through to have the rights to case a reproduction of a Renoir? Can you explain what a "knock off" is?

  • @tubbyart Renoir has been dead since 1919. You don't need to procure any rights to reproduce his works. His works all entered the public domain in the U.S. in 1969.

  • thank u I was wondering one how to make a bronze sculpture.I remember seeing a way on how it's made but I forgot how do to it unfortunately

  • the background noise is irritating

  • The background noise is what you find in the foundry. Tools grinding and sanding the bronzes.
