  • i have a 98, awesome make!

  • give 'er hell man

  • Nice but could use some customizing haha. I just bought a 2000 r6 champ Ed. My brother has an 01 r6 and no second gear problem with either bike 40k on the 01 and 30k on the 00 doing alot of customizing to the 00.

  • Have any of you guys with the 1st Gen R6's been worried about the 2nd gear problem on these bikes or is there any of you that have experienced it? Does it make riding the bike dangerous? Any other input is appreciated. Thanks!

  • could i ride this bike comfortably? I'm 6'1, 180 i've always wanted this bike!!

  • did u mod it

  • i just bought a 2000 yamaha r6 :)

  • @ebab999

    Very cool! :D

  • I had a 1999 r6 for my first bike... THE BEST starter bike ever..besides the cbr f4i. I loved that bike so much but I had to sell so I could get a car but it made such an impression on me that Im trying to get a 1999-2001 R1 next. LOVES IT!!!!!!!!!!

  • heey . nice exhaust i like the way it sounds. is that a d&d exhaust?

  • man yamaha has come a long w

  • Dude...it's a beauty..i'm turning 18 in 5 months and thinking about buying an r6 or cbr 600...but i need to work a little more for an r6 .. omg i can't wait !!

  • start on something smaller.

  • @dukviper90 this is the bike i started on, theyre fast but as long as you respect it and know it can kill you you should be fine on it

  • @angelofsummons a 600 supersport is essentially a race bike with mirrors and turn signals. It's not forgiving and the inputs are very sharp and sensitive. does 60 in less than 4 seconds. Umm.. no not a starter. U may have faired well but you're one of the lucky few. I track these bikes and i know what they are capable of.

  • @dukviper90 they are defiantly very fast, but i know quite a few people who have started on 600's and have all been fine, just take it easy until you get the feel for the bike and slowly work your way up if your comfortable with it, if not start smaller. i really want to go do a track day but there isnt any around where im from i bet thats hella fun

  • I have been looking at loads of these too. Hearing that noise is going to make me buy one lol

  • awesome :D I love it!

  • :D nice bike brother

  • Welcome to the R6 family i have the same year

  • :D awesome!

  • i want to join the family...lol...im trying to get one of those too...99-01

  • @BiguyonR6 Sweet me to I love my bike. Where I ride I can whoop all the big bikes. Some roads are so tight that I pass guys on the inside or maybe go to the outside on a chicane and then cut in. If you can learn to ride it betweeen 8000 rpm and 15 000 you will truly get to FEEL the bike. I can ride fourth gear 8000 RPM all day on the windy highways we have up here. Going down to third on some real tight corners and up to six gear on the straight aways. 8000 rpm more

  • Launch over something

  • i can see your socks from here.
