  • I love this style and wish there was a good teacher near me. I have practiced Wing Chun (Wong Chun Leung) for about 10 years and have always found free "sparing" from Chi Sau much more natural and informative than static. . I`d love to train with some of these guys, the footwork has much more freedom than my Wing Chun style and I would very rarely raise or turn out an elbow. I`m going to have to study some of this and see if I can apply some to my training partners (hehe!).

  • It is to our advantage to routinely perform drills that test us, our knowledge, understanding, and focus. The further you can conceptualize an art, the easier it is utilized.

  • yikes

  • also known as block dop hit in some circles.. Looks to me like your sensitivity is coming along.. may I ask who your teacher was? action of the gow choy hammer fist is smooth keep working the 18 hands and making up new chi sao's and variations on combinations and applications to really hit that next level.. if it were up to me this most powerful of killing arts would stay secret, only taught to those of the highest moral standard.. something to keep in mind when publicizing or teaching

  • Southern mantis is one of THE most hardcore arts I have ever seen or practiced in. Its as hardcore as boxing and kyokushin, yet it isnt a sport, and should stay that way. As soon as martiala rts get into sports, they lose there identity of self and become largely more innefective.
