connecting the bone tool from movieclip to movieclip is easy, but how do you put multiple joints on a single movieclip or image?

No one can seem to answer this question...

I think I am getting close by using modify>bitmap>trace then using the bone tool on the image itself without converting it to a movieclip.

Use the Free Transform tool to move existing joints--they show up as anchor points. Took me a while to figure that one out too. Great tutorial, btw. It's in plain English!

It can NOT connect bitmaps, but... it sure loves Movie Clips. Just convert your bitmaps to Movie Clips and voila....It works.

based on a picture in flash to use the bone tool on it.

i havent ever used adobe flash, but i have used flash MX, a ealier version and i had a similar but diffrent problem(no bone tool ack then)

I dont know what it will be called now but you need to convert it to a vector image back in my day you used "trace vector" idk what it is now

dont use psd, export all layers to transparent .png and then re-import individually

@jeffersonLeery it needs to be a movie clip. ctrl+r to import the png, then click the picture, then F8 to make it a movieclip.

where did you get the black circle pivot points from. I imported my image from photoshop as instructed. When I select the bone tool there are no black circles. pls help

holding CTRL and clicking on the joint allows you to re size the bone and move the part at the same time I think

You can use the free transform tool (Q) to move the pivot point... the bone moves with it.
