  • Try proloquo2go it is quite of money but it is by far the best communication app there is, it really can give children a voice. There are plenty of videos of it on YouTube so have a look

  • wowow!! brilliant..

  • Be wary. Many of these "communication apps" are little more than talking dictionaries and can lead to a dead end very quickly. By all means spend your cash to take a look (Apple do not give freebies) but think about where you want to go with it. A good test is to ask yourself "If I were to lose my speech tomorrow, would I be happy with this for the rest of my life?"

  • Richard, this is so great. Definitely going to help me out with my article on the exact same subject. Definitely posting this to my blog.

Thanks Richard. Will definitely check out your website.

  • It's interesting to see various communication apps designed by non-SLPs (communication experts). However, even though they are more expensive, it is very important to parents exploring what's out there to be aware of two apps programs that have been used for years on more expensive communication devices. Proloquo2Go and WordPower 24 (soon to be released). If you give a child who has any potential a system with no ability to expand vocabulary he or she will fall behind and may never catch up
