  • the first glimmer of hope for non-anglo pop.

  • Love it, one the greatest song...in pop history

  • LOVE THIS SONG FROM DAY ONE!!!!!!!!

    jsjsjsjsjsjsjsjsjs<-----(risas silenciosas)

  • this is 100% SPANISH MUSIC NOT MEXICAN MUSIC!!!!!!!!!!!

  • ¡¡¡¡ NO FUCK ME!! Mexicans do not make music so simple with 1 or 2 positions that is the hallmark of Spanish and Argentines, we export and do not waste good guitarists.

  • there is a group from mexico called los bravos.sooooo mexican music is the best

  • @arganion I'm an Australian who also spent four and half years living in China.

  • I'm 13 and I love this old song

  • MEXICAN MUSIC IS THE BEST

  • @winowillywilson They arent Mexican....they are from Madrid, Spain.

  • America -310 million people with an inflated view of their own importance. All people of the world are as important as the next lot - just because people care for different things to you doesn't make them less important.

  • @baird55aus you're right, I'm curious just about where you came from?

  • @reSAVAGEGUY what! oh yeh i'm so jealous of not being able to live amongst the average american as shown on the gerry springer show.

  • Remembering the USA. We took it for granted then - when it was great - when it EXISTED.

  • @reSAVAGEGUY ahahaahahahaahha do you know something about Columbus? ;-) USA is a great country but Spain has beem the most powerfull empire, just remember it.

By the way, British musicians are much better than american...

  • @reSAVAGEGUY You need to chill out, bro. You're all worked up.

  • Brillilant classic

  • @reSAVAGEGUY .... A Spanish group with a German singer performing a song written by 3 Englishmen, recorded in London and released on a British record label reminds you of "how awesome and proud America once was" ???????

  • this song is cool

  • the 6 dislikes don't know what great music is

  • this is great the last time i heard this was in the phillipines on the hospital ship the USS REPOSE SUBIC BAY

  • Yes, he sure does sound like Gene Pitney.

  • I had this on 45 back in the 60s and I loved the flip side. If anybody has the US 45 and can tell me the title of that I'd appreciate it.

  • His stage posture & mannerisms are very like the lead singer of The Who

  • Thank you very much!!!

  • This was written by an English bloke who now resides in Australia, met his son but can't remember his name, bloody dementia!!!!!!!!!!

  • great tune with at great hook....viva los bravos!

  • Baddass oldie

  • Gran cancion!!

  • Thank you.

    5*****.

    Jennie.

  • til I saw a picture of the group when I bought the record I always thought that this was Gene Pitney recording under another name. This guy's voice sounds so much like Pitney's.

  • Un magnifique morceau

  • whachi c huicko hulo wacko dingo hooloo

  • HE looks good and can dance!!!!

  • hell ya need some of those pop rocks from the 60's

  • No memories of todays music is being born for the recollection of the mind! very sad!

  • To those who were wondering all the musicians are Spanish except the lead singer who is German. An amazing song that has aged magnificently.

  • Yes they are all Spanish except Mike the lead singer, but he lived in Spain for a very long time and he appears to identify more as a Spaniard throughout his adult life. He was truly the most handsome young man I have ever seen!!!! I would have gone insane for him back then...whoever he married is leading a very blessed life if he is as nice as he is handsome and talented!

  • @sexiesadey

    I couldn't agree more!

    Thank you.

    Jennie.

  • @Kittielips You're not Mike's wife...are U?????? If U R...lucky U Honey...

  • F5 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I know that nobodies will believe me but...

My mom lived in Spain around that time. Her mom and dad refused to let them practice in the garage. Believe it or not, they spoke very little english...

All true I swear. My Grandfather was in the Air Force and he was stationed at Torrejón Air Base outside of Madrid. They chose to live off base and in Madrid, they met awesome people and had great times. I've been only twice.

  • Yeah I totally agree with you everything was better back then man. The cars the music no hurries and no worries and best of all no OBAMA tring to controll everything

  • ai qui saudade desse tempo.... amo rock, rock 'n roll, rock a billy, amo muito....

  • Maravillosos años de juventud. Preciosa canción.

  • Great song ! <3

  • Wiki says this is a Spanish-based band....those guys look severely white to me--are they Spanish and just fair-skinned? Honestly asking.

  • @cheluzal

Yeah, they are from Madrid, Spain. In Spain, a lot of people have a light tan, not dark as some would think, while some look closer to your average white male skin color, and some have a nice olive complexion. Really depends on what parts of Spain you are in. I am mostly Spaniard but you wouldn't guess it because of my complexion. Martin and Charlie Sheen are of Spanish decent, with a nice light skin color Antonio Banderas is a good example of a olive skin complexion.

  • @Shaun86 Coolio. I teach students who are mostly Mexican, so I guess I'm used to a darker complexion. Honestly, I would've thought this band was British! lol

  • @cheluzal hi! I guess you haven' t ever been to Spain. I recommend you to travel and visit it, and you would realize most people are fair-skinned (proportionately more than in USA, for example). To get an idea of this, maybe you know Pau Gasol or Rudy Fernandez. Also you will find here friendly and warm people. Ah! I almost forgot. Spain is Southern Europe :) Regards

  • geat song , lots of memories

  • Modnifico!

  • these guys are the best - no one else can do their music - these guys are GREAT - love his voice - can watch over and over and do a little dancing on my own!! Karen

  • I saw these guys live at the Batley Variety Club. They were really good.

All the big names played there, we were so lucky to live just a few miles away, so saw them all. GREAT TIMES!!!

  • ¡Bellísima!

  • Grandi,un viaggio nella nostalgia

  • fatti anche un viaggio all'inferno!!!!

    timoteo ti coddu deo!!!!

  • ma va a cagare represso di merda

    Regards

  • a great spanish song!

  • Love this song, great classic of the sixties!

  • Classic of classic of straclassic!!!!!!!!

  • Good old sixties.

  • Funny how they used to 'fuzz-out' the crotch of these early rockers to make them 'safe' for TV. It's a far cry from a 'wardrobe malfunction'

  • @nalniuqs LOL. I thought there was something strangely flat there - considering how tight the pants look. Different times for sure.

  • The bass player was an ex-matador....and the organist killed himself when his wife died tragically...useless information but ..???

  • I bet Conan O'Brien could do a killer impression of this guy.

  • sounds more like billy joe royal

  • sounds like Gene Pitney to me

  • sí de españa!! :D

  • this is a Great sixties Classic !! thanx for posting ...Lyndloo..

  • Question: What do you get if you have Gene Pitney singing a Holland-Dozier-Holland composed Four Tops song?

Answer: "Black Is Black" by Los Bravos

  • I could see one of the Motown groups singing this!!

  • THe group is from Spain , the singer is of German and English heritage. His name is Mike Kennedy. His family lived in Spain where he grew up.

  • The Hives totally ripped these guys look!

  • I heard that the person that wrote this hit song did so while serving in viet-nam in the armed forces. Some how a person with music connections became aware of this song. The writer was offered a one time payment for the song. He figured he would die in battle anyway so he sold it. Has anyone else heard this story? or is it bs

  • Great Tune, This was the music back in the day.

  • YouTube have the Original Singer Thanks YouTube nice song!

  • I like the song thanks Youtube for finding my song I like here so can beable to hear them again.

    Great song!! 5 *

  • takes me wayyyyy back. toe tappin' stuff indeed.

  • Los Bravos is probably a spanish group, but the singer...I don't know...

  • ORGULLO IBERICO ! ! !

  • the hairstyles of these guys are back in style, the hair looks modern, LOL, most of my friends have this kind of hairstyles now

  • El Orgullo del pop español...,¡GRANDES!!

  • Anybody have access to the Eddie Santiago version that was on the Nacho Libre Soundtrack? I can't find it anywhere.

  • have yet to hear another drummer play this song the way this guy does. His drumming compliments the singing while other drummers just bang out a beat. Originals are always special in their uniqueness.

  • Anybody know where these guys were from?

  • supposetly the band members had different nationalities but most of them were born in Spain except for the singer, he was born in Berlin

  • but lived in spain so... they were spanish

  • Spain :)
