  • It's the same engine. Only difference is yours has a stroker crank but everything else is identical.

  • do you have any specs for a 99 mazda b2500 2.5l sohc dual coil engine in regards to the timing belt marks?...the Haynes manual that I have is vague at best and the diagrams do not match what I have as far as the alignment marks go...this is one of those non interference engines (thank goodness) and the timing belt blew out the other day on the interstate and I am in the process of replacing it.....I also thought that Mazda took over production of the Ranger series....

  • Don't run without a thermostat! Overcooling will result causing poor gas mileage, poor heater performance and sludge buildup in the engine!

  • Its at 10:13

  • Hey at 10:18 it sounds like predator is going to get you....

  • note : there are 2 markings on the top backing plate behind the cam sprocket.

Use the triangle to match with other triangle, the diamond will be straight up for tdc.

use a degresser to find both. i made the mistake of useing the diamond mark..

1997 ford ranger with air... and the rope trick works for keeps the engine from turning over, when breking the 22mm bolt in the lower crank balanceer. i use a 1/2 drive straight wrench with a 2ft pipe and a 4 ft 1 1/2 pipe over that.
