  • SADGASM!!!!

  • The 15 dislikes, they we not born yet.

  • Guys I liked the simpsons bit too but seriously, those are the top comments. Especially for this version of the song.....I'm guessing you guys just don't get what made this particular performance amazing. Peace all.

  • <3 Gavin-you rock!

  • Should have been easier by three: Our old friend fear and you and me...

  • Amazing

  • You think all these grungy douches in the crowd would be into Bush if they knew Gavin was sleeping with a man for 3yrs prior to this songs? LMAO! Best keep bi-dude since Bowie/Jagger!

  • Love this song.

  • Angel wings @ 1:03

  • I still can't get over how epic this song was then, and still is even now. And the fact that Gavin did the song while it was raining makes it even better. Anyone who knows anything about how electric guitars work knows how dangerous it was for him to play, and he still did it.

  • this is the music i like with no weird shit to make ur voice sound cool or better....when its just u and only u

  • I dig Bush. Be it expresident Bush, this Bush or just plain old pussy, love'em all.

  • Best Lyrics in the history of music :)

  • Thank you for staying out in the rain with me...

  • sadgasm!

  • faggedass ripoffs

  • @elisavet4eva calm yourself down you and stop being such a keyboard warrior. Im not a huge fan of Bush but I was merely giving credit where I felt it was due. Pretty sure I'm not North Korean and my right to voice my opinion is just as valid as yours

  • i was there it was raining like hell this still brings chills up my back it was so cool being there on that night.

  • spring break use to rock... now its just stupid

  • MARGERINE!

  • margerine !!!

  • bush sucked balls in general but fairplay, this is a great version of a great song

  • @tomsmurrihy1 hmm well I think their first 2 albums are pretty good but everybody loves bashing these guys now a days.

  • I rember it being POURING .. and they recomended him not pofoming because of the electical equmint .. but he did anyway ... i rember it being SO AMAZING .. I get chills watching now .. and i think i fell in love at the moment watching this back then

  • aw who's he staring at!!!!

  • Great Songwriter but worst fucking Guitarplayer ever on a stage lol :P always looking on the fretboard lol (maybe he's drunk or druggy tho hehe)

  • @MrRoach123 lol dude - being able to sing and play guitar is an art in itself. especially if you sing well. Hahaha

  • I MISS being like 13-18.. I never really gave a fuck about anything

  • @ash0513xx i still refuse to care about anything!!!

  • indelible!

  • Sadgasm!!!

    Amazing

  • This era of music represents a time in my life where I was finding where I fit in.

  • 90's nostalgia is some of the saddest stuff to hear or read. the 90's weren't any less marked by consumerism or marketing or the sale of image in popular music and culture. the only difference is that the 90's were a time of optimism and the appearance of abundance, and so they're remembered favorably. none of this is any more organic or substantial than anything today. it was all an illusion. get over it. just because mtv played more music does not mean they were 'about the music.'

  • @jdriscoll2000

If I believed in giving Thumbs Down(s), I'd give one to your comment...not because what you said is untrue, but because of the bitter way in which you said it. If you think that that type of holier-than-thou preaching has ever truly "woken up" anyone, then you're not as intelligent as you seem. Take the high road and let them have their nostalgia.

I take the time to say this to you, not because you and I are different, but because we're alike.

  • @jdriscoll2000 you are an idiot dude. A complete and total idiot.

  • @jdriscoll2000

    i totally agree with you.

but this song is still pretty good.

  • MARGERIIIIINNNEEEE!!!!

  • Magical performance

  • I need you more, wanted us less... could not kiss... just regress... Amazing lyrics... touched us all in the nineties one way or another

  • I remember watching this on MTV and it's still one of the best live performances I've heard. Just wish I could've been there!

  • most epic mtv performance^^

  • OMFG he is so so freakin hot I would consider turning str8 for him.

  • MTV used to be about music, now it's about tweens love and arguments.....so GAY!

  • 90's were the greatest!

  • Ohhh.... He's so beautifulllll

  • is he adding some kind of fuzz, or what is that. please respond.

  • the 90s had the best taste of music ever. Bush was one of the best bands of the 90s. I miss this MTV. MTV isnt MTV anymore its just reality shows with two award shows and the Music Video awards make no sense anymore when MTV doesn't even play music videos anymore!!!!!!!!!!!

  • I just broke up with my gf.. this song managed to cheer me up.. she was my glycerine..

  • Like this if you got this off of DanielStereos tweet :P

  • Wow 100% good, thanks for the video

  • best song by BUSH, even better its raining in the backround

  • I might just be clear, simple and plain...well that's just fine that's just one of my names <3

  • I remember when this came out, back then it wasn't about the money, it wasn't about the fame it was about the music and playing it, your music, for people. Great video.

  • the best performance i can remember and i agree with 6660sides2die666 WTF happened to MTV

  • epic performance. so raw

  • Aww he looks so cute with his curly hair

  • I used to love this song! Brings back love memories in 1996.

  • Great Live

  • I remember watching this live thinking it would've been really cool to hop in the car and ride 6 1/2 hrs south to see what was next. When the rain started coming down, I remember thinking that I wanted to do that.

  • Epic performance!!! Man,the rain made the setting so damn perfect. But then again Gavin's pure perfection himself ;)

  • 9 people are gonna have a foot up their ass

  • @CjScott101 Hahaha! I'm with you!

  • not a huge bush fan but this one of the greatest performances of all time.

  • Rossdale always said that he was inspired by Kurt. This is no where near the same music. Both were great artists in their own rights tho

  • the rain is fucking perfect!

  • Grunge never die

  • was there man......truly an out of body experience......

  • So hard to believe it was so long ago......

  • @ORRYIN I know i was only 6

  • i hear it all day and sing it all day

  • i will old days back

  • so hot!!! want to touch!!

  • Year I graduated, and my b-day was during Spring Break, and I managed to get down there to see this. Jesus but did it rain (lightning strikes on the ocean are AWESOME to watch), and while this video is unbelievably epic, if you were there, it was like an audio orgasm going off.

  • Awesome song glad that Bush is coming back. Rock on

  • music used to be so beautiful

  • Muito bom!!!!

É uma das minhas músicas preferidas...

    SHOW!!!!!

  • fuck 14 years ago?! when music was music heh

  • 9 People like just beiber

  • oh Magerine!!

  • the way that the rain makes the strings sound dirty harmonizes his dirty voice perfectly in this top 10 greatest rock moment!

  • Comment removed

  • One of the true rock star moments. Hurricane coming in, everyone else scared of getting electrecuted, he just stands out there and plays. Rock on!

  • I miss the 90's.....

  • MARGERINE

  • GOOD STUFF!

  • Anybody remeber when fuse almost decided to play real music....And then became MTV?

  • temaso ctmmm..

  • phucking rockstar! play on in the rain!

  • Oh god.

    That's. Just. Awesome.

  • I remember watching this on MTV when I was a kid!One of my favorite bands of all time.

  • I hate Gavin Rossdale of Bush.... He wanted to be Kurt Cobain so bad. He was a wanna be Kurt. He stoled the song Glycerine from Kurt and copyrighted it in his name!

  • @thejakeludwig lol, here we have it people another, Nathan Gale!

  • @Alexdowling Wtf are you talking about?

  • @thejakeludwig Kurt is my favourite musician. But Gavin doesnt want to be like Kurt, he was inspired. its a different thing. He didnt "steal" this song anyway, this song doesnt sound like something Kurt would write.

  • @charliegray12212 Yes it does and he did

  • @thejakeludwig Think what you want dude.

  • @charliegray12212 Kurt is a GOD and always will be!!!!

  • @Bluevetteboy2012 Yes he is :)

  • I think that he played this song solo because of a bad storm starting and no one else wanted to play in the rain and lighting, but he said he would go at it alone and right after this song MTV said no more because they didn't want to see anyone struck by lighting. He got alot of respect from me for going on with the show!

  • We need to demostrate around the world about the bad music taste

  • love this Video, Can't go a day by without watching this!

  • que buen tema

  • i've often feared when you relieved

  • one thing i like about gavin is... although he was a model before bush....he also had a begging soccer career then injured his ankle or leg or something.......

anyways he has to play the part of being kind of a musical sex icon i mean a lot of girls want him... and he was a model as well .. but beneath his looks and stuff he acts like a really down to earth person.. if u watch some of his backstage type videos.. seems like a pretty funny outgoing guy... and a good ass voice. of course

  • 1980-2000 the best period in history when music was still good and television still put good programming on (even MTV.)

  • "Wait a minute, MTV stands for MUSIC television??" That's what my children will say lol.

    Bush needs to reuinite :(

  • He could've died...what a fucking sport.

  • @allen200112 mesa/boogie rectifiers. i think dual rectifiers

  • I remember watching this on MTV and thinking of running my fingers through his wet curls, he's such a hottie!

  • @cind311: I watched this on MTV when it first came out and had the very same thought!!! I have had a color poster of this hottie tacked just over my bed for 15 years now. Seems no reason to take it down!!!

  • i luv his music

  • this rocks!! this was when i was in 9th grade and mtv still had music and vids

  • Gets better each time I watch it (:

  • This song let me know, we didn't have a chance,.. OR, maybe later...

  • Ok , so now I LUV this song because a really fun and sexy guy, whom I'll call Professor "D", told me this was "Our Song." He taught me a lot of things during our short time . We had a really good time one night just playing this song and singing as loud as we could together. . FUNN!!! Thanx Prof."D" ; D

  • Saw the MTV tour in Dallas with Bush;No Doubt;Counting Crows;Jewel and others. GREAT concert!

  • I remember this, they were going to stop the show cause he might get fried, but he said no and played this song in the rain alone.

  • What happened to MTV you ask??? It's simple..They go with where the money is nowadays..Today Kids pay for the Hip Hop/Pop/Look Good Bullshit...The whole industry is sad now...Nirvana, Pearl Jam..bands with substance we could turn too..Hell look at Rolling Stone magazine..they went from Neil Young and Eddie Van Halen on the cover the Jonas Brothers..see what Im saying? MTV blows..but its not just them...its fucking everywhere..bring back bands like this...and take away the BS...Very Fucking sad..

  • @6662sides2die666 and mtv start showing stupid people's shows too

  • @6662sides2die666 i hear ya bro.

  • @6662sides2die666 you're gonna need a gun if you're dealing with viacom.

  • @6662sides2die666 yep! 100% what you just said. it's so fucking aggravating....

  • @6662sides2die666 that is what palladia is for

  • @krazjizzo - I'll bet when walked off stage "unfried," he quietly said to himself, "Dammit -- being electrocuted and dying on stage with a guitar in my hands would have cemented my rock star status for all time!"

And then a roadie probably said to him, "Actually, no, it wouldn't have, Gavin. You'll be a 1990's footnote not under Nirvana, but under Silverchair."

And then another roadie chuckled at that comment.

  • @johnnytastetest I thought bush were more popular and still are more popular than silverchair ever was. If this was 1996 you totally wouldn't be slagging them off. It just became the cool thing to do progressively over time.

  • @krazjizzo Thats some shit man to have the balls to play just for an audience, i wonder where the rest of the band was at~ great performance ^^v

  • @krazjizzo yes! I loved this performance, b/c it was totally all about playing music back then....gotta love it :)

  • @krazjizzo yes! I loved this performance, b/c it was totally all about playing music back then....gotta love it :)

  • @krazjizzo that's right! how many musicians would risk their fucking lives for their fans!??? right. not too many. But Gavin fucking Rossdale did!!!! remember that! :)

  • @genxgina

Prince played in the rain at the superbowl in 2007 XLI

  • god i wish i could be 1/1000 as cool as gav

  • MTV sucks all they care about is rich people who cares if on your sweet 16 you got a fucken 2004 land rover this performance is what it started as

  • FAVORITE!!!!

Always. Looks like Gavin/Bush have no fans then.

Gavin in the rain well that's it. What a very sweet song as well- ummm fuck mtv today. Care not that it came from them-just that it came at all-

  • I wanna know just WTF has happen to MTV. MTV=Music Televsion. I seriously can't stand watching it for more than five seconds with all the shit thats on it now. Reality tv dating shows. *eye rollie*

  • One more thing...this one always a favorite, I mean- Gavin soaking in the rain- does it get better?

  • Gwen did very well, no doubt!

  • If he was 100 yrs old Id still find him attractive. Hes the complete package, he really is an Amazing singer, & performer, not to mention his looks, he also seems like real sensitive genuine person.

  • Gavin's stoned as hell

  • bad moon rising?

    bad moon white again???

  • luv it at the end:

"THANK U FOR COMING OUT IN THE RAIN"

  • i remember watchin this on TV thinking how dangerous this was and that he stayed after the band was done...CLASSIC moment for MTV

  • Right on because he's delicious and this was much longer ago. Oh they must have wanted to attack him I guess. It does sound dangerous-

  • OH MYYYYYYYYYY I dont think there is anyone sexier than this man.

  • OMG This is the song that made me a Bush fan. Gavin looks soooo fuckin hot!

  • Comment removed

  • I think No Doubt's music definitely stands out. I'm not in love with their music but they still get alot of radio play and had talent.

  • Serious? Damn where do you live? Good for you then.

Gavin is still just the shit..Gwen ...less then noticeable.

  • lol she's one of the biggest solo artsists of this decade. i dont care for her solo material what so ever but she's on the cover of magazines all the time and her albums sell like crazy. i live on the west coast in the united states.

  • btw, what do you mean "good for you then"? did you not even read my last comment?lol i'm not a fan of no doubt but to say their music hasnt held up is rediculous.

  • Tragic Kingdom and Sixteen Stone are both classics. The rest of the albums both bands produced had a few really good tracks.

  • one of the best performances ever!!!

  • This happened in my home town! Panama City, Florida. This concert was at LaVela during Spring Break in a driving rain storm. After a lighting strike the band left the stage due to power failure and the band decided to stop the show. A few moments later Gavin came back out... ALONE. And did this...

  • i love this song my cuz can play the song
