Go on wikipedia and search for Marc Acardipane, the original "I like it loud" from 1997. Scooter's version is just a cover made in 2003.

Cool, thanks! I had tried looking around for credits as to who had written Maria but all I ever got was references to Scooter. Now I understand why he is up there (sorta) but am still of the opinion that he cannot sing. I much prefer Scooter.
