for 1.8, could you just find an ocean biome and use that as a perimeter? (then change it to forest biome)

@R3sidentXK4t You could, but since 1.8, spawning for friendly mobs has changed. It is still useful for the hostile ones though...

haha aether has a pretty nice plot of water but it runs int a desert biome and savanna but most of it is Forrest

try this seed : diamonds, diamonds everywhere!

you spawn in a forrest biome , just dig out some dirt, and build a high platform, you can see that there is a lot of water, end in the distance, you can see ice and snow,...

i think that its a good world for you :)

The seed "Ocean" has a massive body of water. One of the biggest I've seen. Only downfall is that it's not in a wolf-spawning biome.

@tordek1265 In response to my own comment, I have measured the water body in the "Ocean" seed and found it to be approximately 300x300, perfect for perimeter set ups. The approximate coordinates for the center of the body of water are (501, 64, 368).

I've found Oceans to be a decent seed. Have yet to go hunting for redstone or diamonds, but at 0,0 there's a frozen ocean, with the chunk that goes from 0,0 to 16,-16 being a slime chunk. Once you get iron for a bucket or two, you can start tearing out the landscape and replacing it with water, which will then freeze into ice (mobs can't spawn on ice because it doesn't count as a "solid" block).

try "blue planet", u spawn in a desert but to your right a ways there should be a huge ocean, hope this helps

There's a circular-shaped island there, forest biome, nothing to clear except for 3 small islands and a desert which goes just 3 blocks over sea level. Go check it out :D

A perfect Location:

-Tiga Biome (ice & snow is easily accessible)

- Location must be on 4 regions' corners (to prevent mob spawning bugs)

- Location must be 4 adjacent slime-spawning chunks (or plenty in the immediate area)

- Lots of water/ice (so little digging is required)

I'd like to see someone try and find this :P

-Forest biome right on top of it, no need to watch grass grow ;D

-seeds and wood close by

-low islands mostly surrounded by ice(less cleaning)

-in the middle of 4 regions

My computer is not strong enough to run fraps and minecraft at the same time (my fps in minecraft is 7-20 most of the time w/ both optimine and optifog) so unfortunately I cannot show off the area.
