  • I lived around coal for 46 years and one thing it isn't is clean

  • Hey!!! that firl was my classmate a couple of days ago

  • I find it slanderous for somebody who has probably never had to preform real labor to pass judgment on my profession. You can eat all that they are feeding you, that is your choice, however it is not as cut and dry as you would like it to be. If you want to drive your point home, take some initiative. Walk outside your house and switch the main disconnect on your house, and leave it off. Be a real crusader, don't sit at your keyboard and speculate.

  • @sundar213: really! A plant in Germany! Wow-- a plant burning coal withouth emitting CO2? In a country in Western Europe, where they actually give a scintilla of a damn about their environment? Sounds utterly implausible! Do link to more information. Maybe in a 100 years or so, we can get that here in America. Gosh, I'll keep my fingers crossed until then.

  • Support Clean Energy!!! Search for and Watch "The Clean Energy Anthem"

  • Coal is dirty. Period.

  • genius!

  • There is no safe way to dispose of any toxic waste, better not to produce it at all. There is no way to safely dispose of radioactive waste, it is just buried and forgotten. Like our monetary system, our government, and so many other things, we bury it to hide it from sight and then lay it on our children to deal with at some future point. Our world is going to hell in a hand basket, and we are carrying the basket. Time to clean it up really, not fictionally.

    ~Peace and Love..

  • clean coal and permafrost are oxymorons

  • hahaha..if it wasn't so completely screwed up it'd be funnier

  • Good Stuff!!

  • goastros98, the commercial shows the absurdity of using the word "clean" to describe something which by any objective measure is anything but. Calling it clean is purely a marketing gimmick to make the incredibly polluting and destructive process of extracting and burning coal for energy sound acceptable. Describing the sequestration process (inaccurately I might add) as "scientifically proven [and] safe" sounds like you have plagiarized from the script of the next commercial in this series!

  • @SouperFantasticMan It isn't just scientifically proven. There is a plant in Germany that burns coal without emitting any carbon dioxide.

  • This is a highly politicized topic when it should be a scientificly debated topic only. I blame both sides for spreading misinformation but for now I will address this add only.

Yes burning coal is universally dirty I am not going to dispute that. So what makes it clean coal? After the coal is burned the green house gases and other "dirty" partials are collected before they can be released into the atmosphere. They are then sequestered into the earth in a scientifically proven safe way.

  • That's a Good One!!!!!

  • Clean coal is a pipe dream... there is no technology, there never will be. It is a wish never to come true. We would all love the real technology, but it is just a nice wish.

  • as a scientist i laugh at this and not in a good way

  • Scientist as in full headed high school chemistry student?

  • nope, been a while since i graduated high school

  • This would only make sense if set in a household that uses no electricity!

  • i ♥ this!!!

  • Coen Brothers!

  • The bird logo is a little creepy XD

  • sooo funny did u make this?

  • Does anybody remember when ethanol was supposed to be the magical solution to the gas price crisis? Then it ran corn prices so high that people around the world couldn't afford to eat? Remember the riots? I don't have a major opinion on cap and trade, but if it passes (which would certainly jack up energy prices) I think something similar will happen. What if lower class people can't afford to pay their electricity bills anymore? What'll happen then!?

  • Half of the air pollution we get in Ontario comes from the Ohio Valley and we are phasing out coal generators by 2014. Would appreciate if you in the US would do the same. See my video response.

  • "Harnesses the awesome power of the word clean"

    ROFL

  • Excellent video! I was thrilled when I saw this on TV. We need clean energy sources, not just "new" ones.

  • You can use Lysol disinfectant to clear up firewood smoke , too

  • I'm still annoyed at how little consideration nuclear power is getting, especially with new technologies like reprocessing and upcoming fission-fusion hybrid designs that are design to destroy nuclear waste using the intense heat of fusion.

  • There's another great new product out there called healthy cigarettes.

  • Plus you americans never go oversea and study.

You only stay there and wait for immigrants.

You always hear how good your country has done to the world, but only in YOUR NEWSPAPRS AND MEDIA.

Go out of your country and see the real thing, please.

More than half of the global population hold negative attitude towards your country.

Those who immigrant to US are the ones who only want MONEY, not MORALITY.

  • Agreed the corporate media in the US preach to choir, when they point to cherry picked charitable actions by the US, and leave out the day to day oppression of others by US policy. Pheraps you can take solice in the fact that US citizens will be targetted for oppresion, by US corporations for the profit of the coporations. CONT...

  • Tens of thousands of dollars can make a live, but only few hundreds can make one, too.

Why not share your money with those poor countries? You may not need to give to China but indeed to those southern-eastern Asian ones and African ones.

Did you do? No. You only sent limited money and helped the governments to corrupt, while invading Middle-eastern ones.

What kind of kindness you have done to the world, US?

None, and you have even left the Kyoto Protocol.

  • I dont understand why people spent too much time trying to have a fire... what happens to the convenience of setting your thermostat and forget..? People chainsaw, chop, haul, stack , feed, lighten up, vaccuuming the ashes out just ot have some heat??? What a hassle!! Firewood smoke gets in your lungs, ugh!! like walking through a forest fire!!~ Ugh!

  • Indeed you can keep those people in career for some decades

BUT THE EARTH WILL KILL ALL OF US LATER

are you Americans too shallow to see this?

    Indeed!

  • Don't forget we Americans are the descendants of those who came from somewhere else. Not that excuses us from doing the right thing today, but there is very little America has done that other societies in the world haven't done in past.

  • I cant believe the internet is so anti-coal. By putting regulations and taxes on the coal industry they will have to cut jobs. You eco-nuts don't realize that people in my state of West Virginia rely on the coal industry. You commie hippies out in Cali are a bunch of damn idiots. Both of my grandfathers were coal miners. We need the coal industry. I say build more coal plants. STOP WORRYING ABOUT SOMETHING THAT ISNT REAL LIKE GLOBAL NOTHING.

  • Did the people in your state rely on the coal industry before there was a coal industry?

You have grown very comfortable relying on a toxic industry while refusing to consider that a more viable energy solution might afford your state just as many jobs.

  • To date the burning of coal has polluted the oceans to the point, that those who have relied on them for substance for just about forever, no longer can without poisoning their bodies with heavy metals. You need the coal industry to eat, but your source of sustenance is ruining the sustenance for other. respectfully your pejorative do nothing to find a solution. GW is real, and it's happening, man is contributing to it's current appearance, along with the speed of it's development.

  • How in the world has coal polluted oceans? It might pollute the atmosphere, and again I say MIGHT. I think there needs to be more research on the Global Warming subject before we blow this out of proportion. Al Gore, NBC news, and the Dems. in congress have completely overblown this story in order to implement socialism/communism, increase spending, raise taxes on coal and oil companies, causing layoffs.

Its all part of an agenda.

  • I clearly stated heavy metals. Corporatism under the veil of capitalism, which exists because, because of multi-party support is much more sinister than either communism or socialism. More study was the recommendation of those who believed man could possibly overwhelm the Earth's oceans, guess what? man did. Doing the right thing shouldn't cost the average citizen much, it may reduce the rate of profit growth for corporations, but shouldn't bankrupt them.

  • Im like Ron Paul, I support Capitalism but not corporatism. Still, if you put strict regulations on coal or a carbon tax, or cap and trade, it will cause them to do layoffs.

We should leave the coal industry alone along with investing in wind and solar.

But we should also drill for more oil, thats just common sense.

  • No doubt we will need to drill for more oil, but doing so, before reducing our consumption is like eating the seed corn. To date regulations have resulted in cleaner cities, safer cars that use less fuel, while in many of the intervening years GM posted record profits, with no wholesale layoffs, profits that labor didn't share in. In Britain & Europe doing "green" has lead to increased employment. Excuse me if the layoff fear mongering hasn't me shaking in my boots

  • This commercial made me laugh

  • i just cannot stand those irrational commentaries usually made by experts on TV or Internet.. we are still burning firewood, for heaven's sake!! spewing so much soot and particulates far more than the combined total of all coal powerplants.. Why?? All of our chimneys and stove pipes are not even regulated by EPA. They are just blowholes without any filters or scrubbers or whateve.. Just blow soot and particulates all over the neighborhoods and everyone start wondering why they have allergies..

  • In that the EPA has regulated wood stove for over 20 years now, you call into question the veracity of the remainder of your claims. The claim that wood burning produces particulates than the combine total of coal burning power plants, is clearly hyperbole. Only takes a moment to understand why that can't be so.

  • You forgot all about open fireplaces still found in millions of homes,,, not to mention billions of poor people 'round the world still burning cow dung, charcoal, firewood, etc... Coal fired powerplants is far, far, far, far cleaner than your woodstove per person... Remember a coal fired powerpoant serve about one million households... So when you divide the chug chug out of it by a millioin, you aint got a squat!

  • Chances are consuming in power plants in amounts to replace the energy provided by the fuels you mentioned, will lead to an increase in pollution. The fuels you mentioned are carbon neutral. Electrical power produced by coal only shifts the pollution to where others than you are effected by it. Few would want a coal burning power plant, if the pollution will be directly affecting them. I may not have squat, but it doesn't appear you are lacking the same as well.

  • It is far easier and cheaper to "clean" a coal fired powerplant than one million wood stoves and fireplaces! Sure, the TV news stations are starting to alert viewers on firewood. EPA has not done much on wood stoves and fireplaces, really. My neighbor burn firewood EVERYDAY and I breath smoke EVERYDAY.. Nobody cares to help me with my daily coughings. Why? because everyone loves firewood but squint eyes at cleaner coal... This is bizarree!!

  • Take a peek at my vid about "clean coal" to see some of the toxic legacy first hand from this wonderful idea. There are many ways coal leaves it's "clean" fingerprints on the land. It isn't just the air that gets beaten down as this commercial shows. We here in Western Pa are all too familiar with it's lingering legacy.

  • SHIT

  • Comment removed

  • hell yeah

  • the people who are doing your commercial are really good.

  • Hey guys.. look into 'japanese water car'.. we'd invented them in the US before, and Australia has a lot of good inovators.. but check that out.

We already have cars that drive on purely H20.

  • Wow - I hope you're joking. You should take a physics class if not.

  • No car uses water as fuel. There are cars which use hydrolics, but they aren't -powered- by water - they simply use it to transmit energy.

Water cannot be burned, because it is the waste product of combustion - the cleanest combustion possible produces CO2 and H2O (from CH4 + 2 O2 to CO2 and H2O).

There is no such thing as a car which runs on water; anyone who tells you differently is a liar.

  • Comment removed

  • Coal pollutes the land and water when you mine it. It pollutes the air when you burn it and the residual ash contains toxins that leach into the environment when its stored. And we have over 2 billion tons of waste ash stored at coal fired plants in the US right now. Clean coal is total bullshit.

  • People don't feed the troll

(how else would you call a 39 y.o. adult who spends days in the Internet insulting 15 y.o. girls like Sandra calling them "BITCHES" and doesn't even have the courage to respond directly underneath her comment to confront arguments?)

  • sandrakeller2 I guess if you believe that coal is used in hospitals then I guess you beleive fish ride bicycles or an octopus has hands charcoal is used medically not coal LMFAO!!! and you fell for that shit Still LMFAO!!! there are some tutorials you can watch books you can read audio tapes there is no clean coal you get it now? and no fish don't ride bicycles (its not possible)and also an octopus doesn't have hands (they just dont sorry)pee-brain

  • He probably things charcoal and coal are the same thing. They're not - charcoal is produced by burning trees, whereas coal is actually a rock (which originally WAS trees, but has been changed over time into what it is today).

Charcoal IS used in hospitals today in detox - it absorbs some things, so sometimes it is used to help treat someone who has been poisoned by something they ate.

But coal, the stuff they dig up out of the ground, isn't.

  • well sandrakeller2 you fucking ass clown do your fucking research before responding to protect your little but buddy but anyway idiot sorry I didn't spend an hour giving you every little detail of your so called clean coal youtube didn't give that much room to type you simpleton and by the way in defending your buddy you both were wrong charcoal not coal what's used medically better yet take peice of that clean coal and shove it up your ass BITCH!!!

  • what moron would think there is such as clean coal? and to say that they use coal for poisoning just shows how lost you really are but to help you out if you BURN COAL it is not clean because of the CO'2 that is emitted and yes coal is used for medical purposes at times but you dont breath it clean coal does not exist but there is clean coal technology which lowers on CO'2 emmissions but there is no such thing as clean coal but I do find this commercial very funny

  • Do research before you call ppl morons moron. Teabag's remark is very accurate.

And BTW, the main pollutant from coal plants is not C02 (it's not even a toxin) but sulphur and heavy metals that can be found in the flyash.

  • CO2 is actually the biggest pollutant from coal plants, but it isn't necessarily the most TOXIC one (mercury, sulfur, ect. are worse locally). Trouble is, CO2 is also a pollutant which causes oceanic acidification as well as the greenhouse effect; while people are very concerned about global climate change, the increasing acidity of the oceans could kill off a lot of algae and aquatic life, which would have very negative consequences.

  • DIRTIEST crap ever

  • "there's no such thing as clean coal" -actually that's not truth

Activated coal is used in air cleaners and water filters. It's the safest and most effective way to remove toxins.

Also, people with poisonings are given special coal to eat it.

  • LOL, nice man.

  • Actually there isn't a such thing as clean coal...only "cleaner" coal. As you described, filtration and activated coal is are steps to making coal cleaner, but doesn't annihilate all of the pollutants associated with burning coal or using it for energy.

I think if we can develop a better method of disposing nuclear rods, Nuclear energy is a promising start to cleaner energy. Further into the future I hope we can figure out a way to effectively put fusion power to work.

  • And there's no safe way to store and contain the toxic sludge produced by "cleaning" the coal, as we saw late last year. There are already many technologies to replace coal that don't require burning hydrocarbons. It's past time we switched to some or all of them.

  • Exactly, Its been estimated that we've used coal as fuel since 206 BC. So, no one can say that by the year 2009 AD, coal is the height of technology in which we use for fuel. We need to stop this bull about "clean" coal, because we now do have the technology that allows great energy output, without the burning of hydrocarbons.

  • Two things:

    1) You're wrong. Its called "Clean coal", but that doesn't make it clean. Just because it is CALLED something doesn't mean it actually IS that something. Clean coal isn't clean, it is simply cleaner than "Dirty coal". But it is still not "clean" relative to any other form of power. It isn't like solar or wind or even nuclear power.

    2) They feed them charcoal, not coal. Charcoal is made from burning trees; coal is a rock dug out of the ground. Very different substances.

  • "You're wrong" - where am I wrong exactly? I never wrote that coal industry is pollution-free. Read carefully before you preach people. Do I really have to explain the intention of my post?

  • it's good that someone finally criticizing this clean coal bullshit.

  • most oil wells use solar, wind and compressed air to EXTRACT petroleum ! ; solar and wind can generate enough compressed air directly to fuel ALL of our cars and ALL of our domestic and office energy needs and much more

  • "most oil wells use solar, wind and compressed air to EXTRACT petroleum.." oh you are WAY off. We don't even need gasoline (a toxic waste by-product of oil) -- cars can run on alcohol, solar or batteries...the possibilities are endless.

  • Thing is, people don't understand the way this works. Yes, cars can run on alcohol, but it takes hydrocarbons to grow the plants we convert to ethanol - indeed, it takes more fossil fuel to produce ethanol than you get out of it. Batteries are powered by the electric grid, which includes coal power plants - so if you convert to battery-powered cars, you either have to build a bunch more nuclear plants or a bunch more coal plants, the latter of which do no good. Solar is limited in other ways.

  • ummm... solar magnetic rays anyone? it produces dozens of times more power than plain solar panels, is extremely efficient, and the only known emissions are heat and light

  • Dhartin, the alternative energy industry does not cost 10x more to produce the same amount of energy. You totally pulled that out your ass.

Clean energy such as solar and wind only cost what it takes to build them, after ten years or so, all costs have been paid by those buying the energy they produce, which is produced FOR FREE(- upkeep), not 10x more...

When a wind farm is abandoned, it's because of mismanagement or being built in an ill fit location, not because it doesn't turn a profit.

  • Also, renewables cost less the more of them you build...prices are in a steady decline. Fossil fuels are increasing in price the more we use...

Also, renewables dont destroy the stable climatic state during which civilisation has developed!

  • Prove Humans are causing global warming, lets see some real data that proves beyound a shadow of a doubt.

If your convinced that YOU are causing global warming, shut it all off. The computer your using is most likely running off electricity produced from coal.

You may as well toss all your belongings in the trash and completely stop being a consumer.

You should probably do this for at least 10 years or so, seeing how it will be at least this long before all this is emplimented

  • EVERYTHING POLLUTES!!! EVEN YOU, you shit, you fart, burp, exhale, cook, drive, ride, you have stuff the polluted to be made, everything gives off dirt of some kind, nothing sqeeky clean, you shower and you dirt goes somewhere, the food you eat involves pollution being made, this anti coal commercial is being pushed by those who have invested MONEY in other types of energy to get RICH quick and suck more energy from the rest of us,this commercial is evil,NUCLEAR power is the cleanest, but it still pollutes!

  • Calm down! I think this ad is made by people with a vested interest in living long and happy lives and not dying from pollution and or global warming. Already global warming is costing billions of american dollars every year just trying to repair the damage it causes. The world health organisation has stated that 150 000 people are dying every year from global warming. I think the people that make these ads are only looking after you and your family. Even if you don't apprciate it yet.

  • Wow dude, your like not wrong, but your twisted...

Nuclear power IS NOT the cleanest, PERIOD.

Of course this commercial is made by those with interests. Whether or not it's an interest in making money or energy is irrelevant, it's still telling the TRUTH. I mean, you think the coal companies "clean coal" commercials are giving the FULL truth? No, there playing with words. This ad is simply a social response...

You seem to think it's only those who make money who push clean energy. NOPE!

  • Agreed. The nearly perpetual radioactive waste from nuclear rods is something I DON'T want this country playing around with, unless they find a 100% fool-proof way of getting rid of the rods..

  • YEAH, nuclear, three eyes and no nads

  • there is no way you want NUCLEAR ; look at all the accidents all covered up by nuclear energy companies - mainly in Europe ; what we need above all is to rethink the entire society , remove profit , and place human beings at the center of the process using perhaps a methodology of the TQM or CQI type . Why ? because there is a sick logic in this : most of us been starving last year as Total and Exxon and so on, have been making such disgusting profits ? the tide needs to change ....

  • yes because as we all know, the safest place to put your money right now is in the stock market.

    oh wait a min...

  • i got gm stock , citibank , dow chemical , cheveron , along with some others that i inherited years ago , these paid nice dividens at one time , now they dont pay dividens and are virtually worthless unless these companies survive & the stock goes back up ,this was my retirement ! do not buy stock right now , stay away from the stock market , hopefully it will turn around , if not i will probably end up a retired homeless guy !

  • Bout time. clean coal is like clean shit right?

  • yep. you can dress it up as much as you want, but its still a lump of black crap.

  • lol funny

  • GREAT!!! : )

  • FINALLY!! ZOMG this has been bugging me for months! CLEAN COAL I laughed my head off the first time I heard it. what a joke. Can I offer anybody a healthy cigarette. Anybody? This vid deserves serious airtime. (no pun intended)

  • Kudos to the Coen brothers. Now if only they would do the same for Florida Phosphate Mining. They are inundating prime time with commercials about how its a caring family business, how they have planted millions of trees all while showing lovely nature shots of streams and forests...its disgusting but from their commercials you'd think they were creating Eden.

  • There are many alternatives; we just need to start implementing them. One thing is for certain, if you never start it never happens. Just the strategy the coal lobby is pushing.

  • Okay.

Please don't mistake me; I feel confident in saying that global warming is real, that CO2 emissions are at least in part responsible, and that coal is easily the strongest contributor of said emissions.

But how can I possibly be expected to believe that advertisements like these elevate the dialogue in any way? The self-satisfied attitude that marks this spot and the one before it is on a par with the easy-smiling global warming deniers. It's downright insulting to a man's intellect.

  • this is mocking coal as a whole. sure coal is not very clean yet but this seems to be attacking coal as a resource to abandon. which is ridiculous.

  • wonder how much coal was used in the making of this commercial? half of americas electrical grid is connected to coal plants. is everybody ready to get rid of half of the electrical appliances in there house and at work, remember, this is reality.

  • Show me where anyone ever said we should stop using electricity. You know that's not the message. Coal pollutes the land and water when you mine it. It pollutes the air when you burn it and the residual ash contains toxins that leach into the environment when its stored. And over 2 billion tons of waste ash is stored at plants in the US. There are clean substitutes for coal, we just need to build them and stop listening to the coal lobby BS. Coal has never been clean, that's reality.

  • i never said coal was clean, i know its not. but all your alternative energy ideas combined would still cost 10 times more to produce the same amount of energy as coal. what you dont realize is the only reason these corporations are jumping on this GREEN energy bandwagon is for the tax discounts and subsidies. wind farms right now are being abandoned because they cant turn a profit and the tax credits ran out. the only thing that competes is nuclear power, and we all know how clean that is, lol.

  • p.s. thisisrealityDOTCOM has nice flash on it.

  • Who cares if the Coen Bros did it? Everybody! So, you know, that's the stroke of genius. So.. yeah cool. And coal sucks, only ignoramusseses and giant corporation backed think tanks say it doesn't.

  • Comment removed

  • coal can be clean and it's cheap, and yes we made gas from it since 1960's

peterukk wil speak arab before the word heat up 2C so get a fucking job

  • There are another way for cleaner environment, throw the garbage to the space.

  • after all nuclear power is oh so safe.

  • Yes there is cleanER coal but how about the TVA and the garbage they throw in the rivers..

  • There is cleanER coal, and if you don't support it (or the coal industry's effort at making cleanER coal), you're a retard.

  • Fuck big business! Let's steal all "their" money back!

    SOCIALISM FTW!

  • "first it was the greenhouse effect now it's global warming" LOL, thanks, I needed a laugh

    ....you're a fucking idiot

  • you are the idiot, you use coal power to reply and drink bottled water.

  • no you are snot nose kid

  • Even the data the Gov collects is suspect.

Search for Poor examples of Weather Stations on youtube to see some of these "scientific instruments" in use.

  • No one questions whether global warming is a fact.

I don't know what to think myself because both sides can put very convincing ideas through...

But one thing I notice, people only talk about global warming when there is a present example. For instance, last winter, in Switzerland they where complaining about the lack of snow, and all where quick to say it's the global warming...

This year, plenty of snow, EVERYONE SHUTS UP...

  • Global warming doesn't mean everything gets colder.

  • Yeah so what does it mean when the weather does get colder? When it follows common climatic patterns?

Where are those same people that cry global warming each time weather doesn´t go accordingly when the weather does actually follow pattern..?

  • it'd be a global cooling, but we dont really need to look at that. On another hand, global warming will lead to a cooling, as glacial water is dumped into the ocean, messing up the warm and cool fronts. And it is an overall trend we look at, one warm year doesnt mean it still isnt warming overall, its just a weird year

  • watch?v=upBEFCwD73E

  • this is the stupidity of the situation in this dumb fucking world with all the bullshit these asshole corporations push on stupid ass consumers to buy their dumbass evil spawn of the devil energy and oil so that these demons can profit at the cost of the man in the street. We don't even need this shit. lies lies and damned lies. these sons of bitches and their goddamn global corporatocracy. We haven't needed to use coal since the mid fifties probably earlier. These liars love the money evil. hah

  • The US still runs mostly on coal powered power plants

  • Yeah man, the same reason why the, eh, "government" ordered 9/11!

Come on, not everything everybody does is one huge conspiracy.

  • I'm no truther I'm just saying the government (liberals/democrats) hate our freedoms. They want everyone to think global warming is real so they can tell us what we can/cant drive, what we can/cant do, what we can/cant eat.

    Control.

  • wow, after 8 years of republicans tapping our phones (unconstitutionally) and the patriot act stopping the people from protecting america from the government (whoch is what a real patriot does) liberals saying we should drive less to cut down on pollution seems ok to me. Remember, its mostly going to be industrial companies they will go after, since they make the most pollution

  • As far as I know there are no laws that forbid you to drive a certain car or eat a type of food.

Look, as I see it - All the energy industries (coal, oil, etc) have too much power and influence over the government anyway. They do ruin the environment, and absolutely don't give a f**k about doing it.

Even if you think global warming isn't real - Do you not see the benefits of giving some attention to that subject?

What is the harm if it makes someone drive a little less, and walk a bit more?

  • Take away someone's right to drive even for a little bit is taking away someone's freedom, period.

  • But no one is taking that right from anyone.

    I really don't understand you.

It's just like with cigarettes - The label on the package will say "You know that stuff is going to kill you, right?"

But then you go ahead and do what YOU want to do.

  • What's does that have to do with coal? And last time I looked in this country you could still drive whatever you want.

  • Just wait..

  • Waiting is what got us here. Waiting means continuing to burn fossil fuels at the expense of the environment and our health. Waiting is why GM, Ford and Chrysler never produced fuel efficient vehicles and are now almost out of business. Waiting is not a strategy or an option.

  • Waiting for Obama and the dems to say what I can and cant drive and fuel it with what I can and cant isn't an option as well. Fossil fuels are evil for you, I can accept that. It's like your hitler but you do understand that's your opinion right? -.-

  • If i managed to build a car that uses a nuclear reactor, do you think I could use it? Isn't that why we are watching Iran so closely right now, because they want nuclear power?

  • you don't have a right to drive. why do you think you have to go take tests at the DMV to get a license? the next time you get pulled over and a cop asks you for your license and registration, tell him that this is America and you don't need one; see how well that goes.

  • HELL YA! Great video! Fuck big coal and big oil.

  • Where do you expect to get your electricity from to be talking shit on coal when over half of the US is power by coal plants.

  • wow, what a way to die, by snorting "clean coal".

  • i think there is a deal between the coal industry and the companies that make inhalators for the asthma ...xD

  • theyre not called "inhalators" theyre inhailers

  • you're right, forgive my ignorance and thanks for being a lighting torch in the middle of darkness

  • I love how everyone has just jumped on this green kick in the last few years. Face it. It's another source for profits. New large businesses are pushing the agenda to make money. Of course we are doing harm to the planet, but it's nothing close to what is being shoved down our throats everyday. Many of these scientists ranting about global warming are the same ones that cried we were all going to freeze to death in the 70's. Sorry, but mother nature is more powerful than all of us humans.

  • Common miss-conception that global warming means it will be hot in all areas of the world all the time. Global warming will cause extreme temperatures in certain areas and extreme cold in other areas.

  • Global warming means that the earth gets warmer. Nobody is saying that the earth has to be warmer in every place. It is the summation over the surface that counts, and that has been cooling for half a decade.

  • THERE'S NO SUCH THING AS 'CLEAN COAL'

  • coal is actually good for absorbing all kinds of pollutants, but I guess thats the point of this video

  • The magical coal reminds me of Mr. Hanky flying around spreading his faecal love xD

  • Environmentalists (pro-global warming) : Open-minded individuals who listens to scientific studies. They want to live the healthiest lives that they can.

Anti-Enviironmentalists (anti-global warming): mostly hypocrites, or close minded individuals who think there word is law. Listen to corrupt oil companies with paid off "scientists" to say that there are things such as "clean coal" or "global warming is just a warming-cooling cycle of earth".

  • I agree except you switched the "pro-global warming" and "anti-global warming" labels. :p

  • kool

  • retards must watch these videos cuz they have to tell u that this is actualy a joke. fucking uneducated bitches

  • well people speak the truth in jest. and while clean coal burning is possible (in a lab) at the industrial level things tend to get a little more complex. That said I have seen plants getting close to laboratory results, but the 20+ xp technicians who make it happen are hard to find and do not come cheap.

  • yea well solar panels cost a shit load and their production causes more environmental problems then burning coal, yet our government still makes them...

  • know about the cost didn't know about he environmental problems, no shit? what is mercury involved in the manufacturing or something?

  • ohh influx of trolls... great :-(

  • That was dumb!

  • My Biology teacher always said Clean coal was an oxymoron...
