Phenominal season, we have had a raw defense being developed ever since we drafted patrick willis and now its clearly one of the best in the NFL. We were damn close to winning a superbowl this year, we just need some more talent on offense and well get that ring because players like Frank Gore deserve one.

As great as frank gore is, I think he holds the record for most 50+ yard runs in which he does not score. Its shows it on this video, and in years past when he was on my fantasy team I'd notice he would break a 55 yard run and somehow not score....

If only he wasn't injured Kyle Williams would never have been returning those kicks. You can't blame the loss on Williams though. Our offense was terrible the whole game. 1/13 on Third Down conversions and of Smith's 12 completed passes only 2 were to wide receivers. Doesn't matter how good your D is or if a young player makes a mistake. You can't win without offense.

The ranking of our receivers is: vernon davis (yes TE, but), crabtree, josh morgan (could be higher but a leg injury ruined his promising season), kyle williams, and then the rest. Yeah we need a true no. 1 style receiver but I don't really see the niners going out and signing one. the only no 1 style receivers you named: bowe, vjax, colston, and garcon (who i don't think is a FA) will get signed

Its hard to have a good passing game when you only have Crabtree, Kyle Williams, Brett Swain and Joe Hastings (From the practice squad) as your receivers that are available. I think the 49ers will be looking for a lot of depth this year in the draft, not starters.

Cowboy fans are haters. Talk about the division we're in but look at the rest of our schedule. 9ers played 5 playoff teams this season and went 4-1. @doll85 We we're 8th in Rushing yards but you're right we're based on defense. But what's wrong with that? As I recall we beat the Bengals, the Giants, the Lions, and Pittsburgh (Playoff teams). Then in the playoffs we beat the team everyone thought was going to win it all. We beat 3 out of 4 teams that we played from the NFC East and same with AFC North. Cowboy fans are haters. Talk about the division we're in but look at the rest of our schedule. 9ers played 5 playoff teams this season and went 4-1. Last I checked, we beat every team in the NFC east except the Cowboys so don't say the 9ers are lucky cuz the division they're in. The Cowboys are the most disappointing team in the NFL. How many years are they hyped to make it to the SB by espn but they can't even make the playoffs or win a playoff game. They choke more than babies it's not funny

@northsider20933 believe the cowboys barely lost to both superbowl teams and i know a good football team when i see one, cowboys secondary was awful they were by all means a medicore team. 49ers team is based on thier defense and if they were'nt in the worst division in the league their record would of been alot worse, they wouldn't of had home field over the saints and would of lost. saints were the better team 49ers got lucky, ill give it to them. 49ers will not make the superbowl next year

@doll85 We we're 8th in Rushing yards but you're right we're based on defense. But what's wrong with that? As I recall we beat the Bengals, the Giants, the Lions, and Pittsburgh (Playoff teams). Then in the playoffs we beat the team everyone thought was going to win it all. We beat 3 out of 4 teams that we played from the NFC East and same with AFC North. And through the first 10 weeks we we're 8-1 and only played 1 team from the NFC West. Now please STFU

49ers defense was pretty good this year, but that team will never win a super bowl with alex smith at QB. they got very lucky agianst the saints. My cowboys beat them with an injured qb with the help of a cowboy away (home) crowd. 49ers jumped on the band wagon this year, we shall see when they all jump off if their defense doesnt stay healthy next year
