she's so smooth. like cream on the ice cream. beautiful sound in a flawless car. don't get me wrong; i absolutely love the olds 455 bigblock sound but this is just a step short of perfection.
@CocaColaStallion I last ran there in summer 2008. Times where anywhere from 1:48 to 1:51. I am sure I could be faster with more consostant tarck time. I always seem to go in fits and starts.
lol ive watched this video 3 or 4 times and every time @55 seconds in i still think you missed the turn and are headed for the grass =P but then i realize the track goes a different route. badass vette dude
Yeah, that turn is the short track turn. How abou tthat butt-puckering moment when the car stalled on the downshift approaching the diamonds edge turn @ 7:35 hehe
I just decided it was appropriate to try bump start the car rather than go into the braking zoen without power steering or power brakes - almost went wrong as the rear tyres locked for a split second hehe
hahah im sure that thing is a devil to handle man. this car is my hero it kicks so much european ass which i love since all those brits take credit for german and italian engineering LMAO.
No, Ruf is primarily a manufacturer of complete cars. They get "white body" shells from Porsche and build them to their own specs and they get TUV certification as Ruf vehicles - not modded Porsches.
Ruf also makes some of their mods available as conversion packages installed by certified Ruf installers. These are Porsche VIN cars with mods/conversions, the cars Ruf build have Ruf VIN numbers. The R-GT is Alois Ruf's interpretation of the GT3.
So you have a C5R 427 block. Who did the install? Specs of the cam? How much rwhp/rwtq you putting down?
I have an SLP Forged 402 Block w/ AFR 225s, G5X3, LG Long Tubes, Bullet Exhaust. I put down 487 rwhp w stock intake and throttle body. I got it retuned out here in Germany and put down 510. Check out some of my videos on HockenheimRing and the NurburgRing. The track is very hard. I wasn't pushing too hard due to stock brakes and crappy tires.
This video is full of win... I've now been motivated to mod my vette... Thanks!!!!!

Cool, thanks for explaining that, I've seen RUF around, just never knew the connection between them and Porsche.

wats ur top speed?
kraka495 3 years ago
On that track I top out in the mid to high 130's.
The car tops out at 182mph in 5th gear - 6th gear is an overdrive, but with enough road it still pulls at 190mph... but pretty slowly.

DUDE! Thats freiking sweeet! How did you get that readout on the bottom that shows your speed and the track?

Is your car street legal?
GR8WHITEC5 4 years ago
Its a forged rotating assembly LS7, ported LS7 heads, LS7 intake, Blackwing, Kooks 1 7/8" headers and 3" Borla XR straight pipes.
Street legal?
I have current plates and an inspection sticker ;)
