  • I had laparascopic surgery few months ago and now watching this video i can see that they did me things they didnt have to... Starting with catheter, they put me catheter wjhile i was awake! And they didnt want to take it of till next day although i asked them to remove me that... and a lot of things like that..Nurses and the stuff was rude, angry..awfull..

  • @redrose86219 poor you I am sorry ...get well soon xxxxxxxxxxxxGod Bless

  • ... not looking forward to this. Not at all.

  • boy i hope i never have to have that done

  • @gabriellarodrigu1000 if you do, it'll be ok. imagine what it would be like if you DIDN'T get anesthesia before surgery.

  • Thanks for this video. I'm due to undergo laparoscopy in a month or two, and I really didn't know what exactly it entailed. Very informative, and now, my mind's relatively at rest. Still freaking out slightly, cuz it's my first surgery. Ever. :S

  • @IsabelAradia Thank you very much for your comments, and good luck on your surgery!

  • @IsabelAradia how did it go?

  • @MissMaddy881 It's been pushed back a bit cuz of the hormone treatment I had to take to get thru my exams. It's supposed to be in early July now.

  • @IsabelAradia oh ok. well, i hope everything goes ok. i had mine done last monday and i'm doing great. my doctor found endometriosis on the right side, but didn't find anything on the left so he went in and cauterized that side just in case.

  • @MissMaddy881 I had my surgery on Wednesday...I don't know the results of it just yet, but it went relatively well. In a month's time, I would find out the results, and if I would need to do further laparoscopy to remove anything.

  • @IsabelAradia ok. my doctor told me the results after i had awakened from the anesthesia. i'm hurting again and the main thing i want to know is why i'm feeling pain on the left side when there's no endo there. keep me posted!

  • @MissMaddy881 Welllll...I had trouble waking up, then my blood pressure dropped and I almost went into shock; I wasn't even awake long enough to talk to my doctor. Endo does tend to come back after surgery though, and sometimes even if they don't see anything, it's there cuz it's microscopic. D best treatment is surgery+hormones. Surgery to remove; hormones to prevent it coming back.

  • doctors sent me details regarding my surgery ..........before hand I had asked details

on proctoraid com ...hope helps other patients

  • I am an O.R. Nurse and just had my first laparoscopy (as well as my first surgery ever!). I was scared but understood the surgery. This video provided a great overview of the procedure, and was pretty darn accurate. Thanks for making this video, and for the other viewers responses. I am 4 days post op and am feeling better, but not 100% yet. Best wishes for those of you scheduled to have this done.

  • @mrskathh hi hope your feeling better, am waiting for a date to have a laparoscopy for endo an as you have had one am just wondering to they take the catheter out when your awake or under? x

  • @stacygallagher Thank you for your response. I am feeling much better. The catheter is placed after you are under anesthesia, and removed before you wake up in the recovery room. Some hospitals/surgery centers may wait until you are in the recovery room, but before you are fully awake or aware of it. I was surprised at the length of my recovery time. Please give yourself time to heal, with at least a week (if not longer) free from work and/or activities. Take Care!

  • @mrskathh oh thank god thats the thing i was worried about havin to have it removed whilst being awake thank you! you have put my mind at ease. my doctor said its a long recovery and can be painfull, but compared to endo pains it will be nothing, i hope she not just saying that to calm me down haha, glad your feeling better ill take your advise on board thanks again.

  • This surgery does make me feel better...I was told that I'd need to get one done by my doctor today since he can't come up with a diagnosis for my chronic pelvic pain...I hope it wouldn't be bad news.

  • Why was this in my reccomendations?...

  • I wish my procedure had gone this smoothly, I ended up wit a 4th incision, and was homebound for a week. Still undiagnosed, this was 4 yrs ago.

  • Thanks for this excellent and informative video. Makes me feel much better watching it.

  • I had a hysterectomy last year Laparoscopy. I have a big lump inside where the tube went through and it is painful when I work out or bend over continuously. Does anyone know what it might be? I am having surgery to remove it but, they don't know what it is.

  • could be scar tissue

  • my friend had the surgery and she died a few weeks been discharged

  • oh..:( i`m sorry about that..

  • what happened? i just had surgery and its the fifth day post op and im in the worst pain ever. and now i cant urinate, the pain seems to be getting worse

  • @MissCAlexa22 Go see a doctor. Youtube doesnt have a degree in Medicine.

  • I just had my 3rd laparoscopy. This one turned was to remove endo and turned into a prteey major surgery because I was pretty bad inside. So my healing time at home has been extended but I sill only have a few tiny holes in my belly. I hardly notice them anymore. For those of you with upcoming procedures booked, happy healing!

  • Why do they use Co2 instead of regular oxygen or air?

Cant imagine having those tubes inside. eeps!

  • Carbon dioxide is more readily absorbed, non-toxic, and does not support combustion(burning).

  • regular air could make infections as it might have desieases.

  • O2 = is flammable = explosion

  • I just had one 2 days ago, I was teriffed to get done but am glad :) but i was in pain when i woke up and i still am now my belly is bruise, i have 2 take 1 week off work to recover, ive 2 go 2 my doctors on monday to get my stitched removed :S

  • going in on friday for one. thanks so much, this is really helpful and explanitory.

  • Hope that you are doing well ^_^ have a good recovery!

  • I have problems to become pregnant...maybe pelvic laparoscopy might help me ?

    best

    Martin

  • im getting this done in june...lol 0_0

  • do you have scars after this?

  • I have a TINY scar hidden in the folds of my belly button; no one other than the lint police would ever find it:)

  • I watched this video a few times before my procedure. It helped me understand what the Dr was going to do. I felt better about having the procedure after watching it.

  • Thanks for the video. i am relieved to know the details as i am going for laproscopy on saturday!

  • going for one on june lol hope ill be fine lol

  • I have my surgery in 3 days and this makes me feel so much better! Very good video!

  • i agree with you. im 17 and i have my suregry on dec 22 and i am terrified lol. now that i see this i feel better. hope your surgery goes well

  • i just had one, I'm 17 too (i had it wednesday) you'll be fine!! my doctor was great and it's great to have a diagnosis finally and now you're in good hands. Good luck

  • That made me feel a lot better actually. :)

  • I'm so pleased to have seen this. It's a really good explanation about what I'm going to go through this Thursday!

  • That's a really informative 3d medical animation by Nucleus Medical Art! I enjoy the laparoscopic view of the female pelvic organs. This diagnostic pelvic laparoscopy is very educational!

  • Excellent 3D medical animation. Nucleus really has done a wonderful job in trying to educate patients that need to have a pelvic laparoscopy.

  • Great 3d medical animation on pelvic laparoscopy...
