  • It certainly was his "boysdream", but I really don't know.

    Perhaps something took place in November 1922 when Bix spent a week in New York where he saw the ODJB live for the first time.

  • Very good recreation of Bix sitting in with the Original Dixieland Jazzband. Interesting to hear Atero playing the breaks Bix played on the recording with Bix and His Gang. I wonder what La Rocca would have thought of those breaks? It would have been nice to hear Bix and La Rocca trade breaks on Jazz me Blues.

    A l epoque je crois bien que je l ai vue en noir et blanc, car la TV couleur n etait pas encore chez mes parents...

    Artero est fabuleux dans cette serie...peu sont capable de jouer à la bix comme lui..

    Sur ce morceau Jazz Me blues, je crois reconnaitre, outre Patrick Artero (TP) Irakli (Tp)Francois Guin (tb),claude luter (cl)cl bolling (p) , mais à la batterie ..?

    A quand un DVD de cette emission (et des autres d Averty de l époque ?

  • Je suis désolé, mais le pianiste n'est pas Claude Bolling, mais Bibi Garvanoff. Le batteur, j'ai un doute, mais je pense au batteur de Claude Luter , qui était à l'époque :

    Roland Audinet.

    C'est vrai, les émissions d'Averty, seraient un régal pour bon nombre d'amateurs de Jazz et autres, mais sûrement pas assez rentables.............
