  • not it's not powderd protein is the way to go cause it obsorbs into your muscles quicker that's the whole point here.....

  • @TonyoStaycee

    YEah!

    MusclesMaximizer.info

is one of the best gain muscle program in

the entire internet products. I also like the

way Kyle Leon customized the program

which made me use extensive data regarding

my unique body shape and this is definitely

the most customized nutrition and exercise

    program ive tried so far.

  • RIP Steve. I miss ya buddy.

  • i go through extreme amounts of anaerobic exercise killing inferior species to rip off their muscles and cook them in a pot and eat them

  • Great advice and the truth

  • everyone always says natural foods are better, but how can a student afford that much protein a day if hes doing heavy workouts? the powder is the cheaper alternative.

  • hey steve, how about right after a workout? don't you need to take a FAST digesting protein to prevent your body from going into a catabolic state?

  • How much protein does a hamburger have

  • @bigboy6969100 16-20 grams a bit more or less.

  • Cant you just take SLOW digesting protein? in powder form?

  • @FallenGod99 He's talking bollocks. Take a slow digesting protein (like casein) before bed to get you through the night, otherwise just use whey.

  • @lifeshort Exactly! Pretty sure a chicken breast wont be slowly digested over 6-8 hours!

  • THis guy is a moron

  • Protein is just half of the equation. Carbs are just as important if you want to gain size, Don't have the carb intake and you'll lose weight quick. Meat is the best protein source because it has a full amino acid balance, like he said, it's muscle. Other foods like peanut butter have to be mixed with foods such as bread in order to see the full range of amino acids in them. And whey protein is helpful before and after your workout. as well as simple carbs from fruits. Skim milk and bananas.

  • I look at protein powder as more of a convenience thing. Case in point: I workout after work and like to take a scoop of whey with me so I can drink it when I get done with my routine. Then when I get home, I'll have some cottage cheese or something that takes a while to digest in the body, so there's protein in my system while I sleep. I used to fall into the whole, drink 3 shakes per day with 2 scoops each gimmick, but not anymore.

  • @InspctrClouseau YES! YOUR USING IT IT AS IT IS SUPPOSED TO BE USED SUPPLEMENTARY!

    (p.s not being sarcastic)

  • ever head of casein protein? stays in the body 6-8 hours . perfekt for the night.

  • wait im 15 years old can i still take this?

  • @Lilbean432 Yes

  • @aussiery OH for God sake NO! Don't eat Lindsay Lohan! That meat (if any) is poisonous!

  • What about casein protein dosent that stay in the body long too?

  • protein powder should not be a substitute for protein you get from meals, it should be used to help your muscles quickly recoperate after intense exercise with a mixture of fast digesting carbs

  • popeye eats spinach and doesnt have tones of additional protein!

  • what he just said about food being better than protein powders is just scientifically floored. Firstly slow digesting protein foods post workout is the last thing you want. you need fast digesting high quality protein with a high bio availability. SOME protein powders offer this. If you want any information on protein, what types to have and when, what powders are good what aren't please email me on scottmccreath19@live.co.uk

  • @PFSMccreath You're both right technically speaking. I agree with Kudgy5's statement actually. Both should be consumed for optimal growth. It's a supplement not a substitute. Also, your statement would have more ground if you followed up with a second bit of info after starting with "Firstly," but you do you.

  • yea i take your point but i take whey protein so my body obsorb it quickly after my workout

  • i don't eat enough (check out my channel 4 my stats) for my size. i was thinking about sup w protein. i work out heavy and hard, but lately my strength has plateaued or even going down. it's hard 4 me 2 eat a lot during the day. don't feel hungry. would protein do wonders 4 me, or what?

  • I'm a girl... Is it wrong that i'm taking this tips???

  • @c0c0456 Nope.

  • @c0c0456 Absolutely not. What I would like to emphasize that lean muscle will make you look leaner and more toned. God bless.

  • Message me for the best protein you'll ever have. Sale period on now. Great tasting and works amazing. Gives energy, immunity and packs muscle for both mass gaining or weightloss. Either one depending on choice. Message me now to get it :)

  • eat my pussy=loose weight!

  • Is it true to match 1 gram of protein to every gram of lean body weight ?

  • @biggerbuffed something like 1.5 - 2 grams of protein per kilo of body weight per day for strength training

which is a lot, an awful lot of chicken.

  • That's great if we can all eat a balanced meal each time. Most of us cannot. The protien shake definately has a place in every athletes daily food intake. IMO of course.

  • @aussiery YES! LOL

  • It`s a shame this guy has no new videos ...

  • protein powders work downies

  • well yeah he forgot to mention how MUCH of these aminos and protein u need....

  • Eating Muscle will make you gain Muscle,, this guy for real ?? stupid idiot

  • @USA4thewin hahaha his smarter than u dipshit

  • @USA4thewin meat is muscle....

  • @USA4thewin Why are you calling him a stupid idiot? At the end, he clearly says that eating a well-balanced meal and lifting weights will cause muscle growth. There is no need for name calling. He also never said that eating muscle alone is the only way to help you gain muscle, which is what you're implying.

  • @USA4thewin Either you're trolling, or you're extremely thick. Insulting 101. Know your stuff before calling someone else out on it. He said "Have a well-balanced meal, and worry about lifting weights, that causes muscle growth." Protein is a part of that "well-balanced meal" and muscle/meat contains protein. If you think that's wrong, I'd like to hear your thoughts on how to gain muscle.

  • @iTheChosenOne neither saminilla is just gonna bite u in the ass

  • what if your a vegetarian and lifting heavy weights. do legume and nuts follow the same principal as beef chicken or fish? then whats the point of protein power or isolate.

  • @thunderheart226 Exactly!

  • Never knew that... Thanks !

  • you are a grt help

  • @fuckilluminatiscum Thanks! Glad you're enjoying my videos. There are over 240 of them.

  • Hey Steve, well, i have been watching your videos for quite some time now, and i do agree with alot of the things you say, but this one has to be one that i disagree with, with my weight lifting journey i have to say protien has helped me big time, but i guess everyones methods are different, and i havea question , did/do you ever do any competing of any kinds?

  • Good tip..no more fucking GNC

  • I'm a vegetarian so I use hemp protein powder.

  • @Christopher7789 This guy knows what he is talking about. You really dont need protein powders and all that. I would focus on eating RAW food no matter what it is. I used to be vegetarian. I ate all organic and ate everything raw.....I never seen better results when I worked out, I was so motivated as well...

  • I know that eatting "real" food is better than processed protein in the form of powders because they are complete and break down faster, but to eat the amount of protein I need, gram/pound of body weight, i need alot of chicken! I cannot afford or consume that much food, mostly cost, so that is why most of us take the powders.

  • With all due respect Steve, I think I'm gonna continue using protein shakes once a day because I'm a verry picky eater.

  • @Spyder2011 No problem. Eat what you'd like. I'm just letting you know that all that extra protein manufactures and website push doesn't build extra muscle.

  • Comment removed

  • @BodyPerformanceTV

I remember you stating this, that the protein in food was good enough but then I saw another video today saying that you need at least one gram of protein for every pound that you weigh. Therefore, the video claims, protein shakes are more economical and more readily available after a work out.

  • @owensphil I'm not Steve, but there is no scientific evidence backing up the "one gram of protein per pound" rule. It was made up by bodybuilders 30-40 years ago.

  • @p90x4lifewaswrong64

Then how much protein should we take? I keep hearing the ¨one gram per pound¨on a lot of these videos.

  • @owensphil its one and a half grams per pound , so if you weigh 200 you need 300 grams of protien

  • im not saying your wrong but it sounds so simple it seems like you made it up

  • @rockonhockey It is simple. Eating doesn't cause muscles to grow. Lifting does.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV LOL eating doesnt cause muscles to grow? Muscles dont grow in the gym! If you lift weights for hours a day and eat shit food you arent going to grow.

  • @pyk420biatch your body is an energy efficient machine. If it doesn't have the need to pack on muscle, the food you eat will just be stored as fat. What happens when you workout is that you place stress on your muscles and create micro tears in the fibers and as an adaptive response, your body breaks down the old fibers in order to construct denser, more stronger fibers so that it is ready to take on the next workout.

  • @tr4pz123 Thanks for exercise 101 intro!

  • Great series of bite size videos that get straight to the point.. no fluff, waffle or BS. Good on ya Steve!

  • yeah food protein is better but ill take protein on top of my food protein newayz

  • Wow. Its refreshing to hear someone talk about muscle building in a sensible fashion, without trying to get people to buy unnecessary supplements. And I completely agree with your slogan: "Love your body".

    Thanks Steve.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV if drink a raw egg should i just drink the egg whites? or do i need the yolk to?

  • I'm 23 year old and have taken your advice and made a caloric deficit while still eating healthy and it's GREAT. I am worried about my future, I mean for now I am creating a caloric defecit to burn fat but what if I achieved my goal later on and want to start gaining muscle without adding the fat back on, should I increase the calories above thus creating a surplus instead?? it's kind of confusing.

    thanks and keep it up

  • @shakalakabaka The general rule is that if you want to lose weight, eat less calories and the opposite for gaining weight. For muscle gain, if you got the time, eat several well-balanced meals per day. The reason is that you want your body to have a constant supply of nutrients to repair the muscles. Adequate nutrient intake plus enough weights will get you muscle. Hope that answered it.

  • Great video!

  • @BodyPerformanceTV I think that i will do that one day - thank you ;)

  • Not that I disagree with what is said in this video, the fact is that to build muscle one must be eating every 2-3 hours to avoid going into a catabolic state. Now while it would be ideal for all of these meals to be from natural sources, for the average person that is almost impossible and thats where protein supplements come in. But yes, if you can do it all naturally than its just as good if not better than using supplements. I think the key point is not to get caught up in all the hype.

  • @adgeee000 But eating every 2-3 hours is still not needed. We eat enough protein and enough protein remains in our systems that it just doesn't happen.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV I have remained at almost the same size and strength for 3 or 4 years, Im almost 24. Since drastically changing my diet in the past two months by having 6 small meals a day with 25-30g of protein in each I have suddenly seen constant strength gains in all my lifts. (I have not changed the way I work out)

  • thanks for the info. i subscribed please return the favor :)

  • Agreed ! I eat sardines , whole eggs , lentils , organic chicken is my source of protein that is why I am lean / slim

    I love your videos

  • Excellent video.... Eat right, train hard, bench, squat, and dead lift, rest and grow! If people actually did those things they wouldn't have to keep looking for the next big supplement....

  • Do you still stick with the idea that one cannon gain more than a pound of muscle each week? If yes, then what is your take on Tim Ferris's claims?

  • So there aren`t any new videos ?????

  • not to mention normal natural foods contain the right breakdown and nutritients WITH THE PROTEIN .. there is so much we still od not know..

i tell you when i drink egg i get rashes and no real gains.. when i eat normal eggs made i dont get rashes and it works... also how you consume them are a deal

  • Finally someone who agrees with me. I eat all my proteins from foods like fish, meats and some low fat dairy.

  • Food is not sustaining the human body. The highest teachings will always be 1. all food is poison, 2. ejaculation is for having kids only, 3. not working out and shaping your reality, is letting the society shape your reality.

There is a lot of new info coming out on breatharianism. I dont encourage people to stop eating, sit there, get anorexic, skinny, die, but to exercise and really study all these myths, I used to spend 100s of dollars on protein and Im pissed to find out its all bs...

  • I like your video, I hold a degree in exercise science. I would just add to this video the importance of sleep becuase as you know this is when protein synthesis occurs during nrem sleep stage.

  • If you don't beleive steve who is in great shape, and practices what he preaches, take the commerical recommendations by supplement companys and eat as they say&measure your strength gains, your body measurements, and your mood. If you are able to pack on muscle and keep your waistline trim doing as supplement companies prescribe, you got your answer. Otherwise, do as Steve suggests and do the same measurements. If you can get the same or better results without the add'l cost, Steve is right

  • I like to eat live pigeons after every workout

  • @5959512 made ja laugh

  • this is so true. as he states in another video it just adds weight. personally all i do is creatine cause its no calories but still i dont even need that cause i get it in foods like eggs etc.

  • Can you please, in a separate video segment, talk about L-Glutamine that some bodybuilders say is necessary to take right after workout because it repairs muscles fast.

  • love ur body

  • who can afford to eat 3 pounds of meat a day

  • @6reevesy9 no one needs to eat that much meat ull die from heart disease

  • I used to go to GYM, but I want to take protein powder in home ( home workout) .

does it sound good or you don't recomend me ? by the way : I have experience and I know all workouts.

  • @Muhneds I'd skip the protein and just eat balanced meals. You don't need the extra protein.

  • @BodyPerformanceTV I heard shake was better after the workout because you assimilate it faster.. and I red that your body can only assimilates 40-50 g of proteins per meal so that's why you need to eat alot of small meals , is it true?

  • Hey, great video! Eggs, Poultry, Meat and Fish are the best sources of protein without a doubt, so these companies trying to sell everyone milk based proteins are just wasting our money and efforts in actually getting the best protein. Not to mention that so many people are allergic to these proteins that are derived from a foreign substance to the human body - cow's milk! Allergies include: Mucus, Bloating, Constipation, Diarhea, etc. So let's all stick to real whole food and training hard!

  • powder shit is horse shit crap, real meat is the best, just hve more meat than carbs but in a good total portion size...ya incude healthy fats and veggies...

  • So if I really want to step up my protein intake i'd be better off to eat a pro body builder that already has everthing I need in them.

  • But steve how many grams do i need. im 160lbs 5'5 and i weight lift 4 times a week intensely. do i need more carbs and how do i find the right ones. so many questions

  • it doesnt matter if you have a balanced meal the extra protein you have benefits you in everyway so itll help you alot even if you dont need it

  • can

someone tell me wht i should eat through out the day after a workout to help me bulk up?

  • oooooor you just do both!

  • thnx a lot about this video!!! you make me realize that protein doesn't make muscle but weightlifting. of course protein is needed to repair the muscles. but again until now i was worried too much if the protein i eat is good enough or if i needed to buy protein powder . i hope you are right. (of course you are) and thnx again

  • I'd love to see a picture of ro332 so we could compare his body with Steve's and see who knows what they're talking about. I believed in and practiced the bodybuilder protein regimen for years but have recently found that all the real research (that not payed for and/or twisted and misrepresented by supplement companies) backs up exactly what Steve says.

  • @wshII I will show you a picture sometime if I bother to take one :) No doubt a home cooked meal is fantastic but POST WORKOUT your body is sucking up all the nutrients you put into it. Chicken breast and rice is going to take longer to absorb. A shake will digest quicker feeding your muscles. Eating food is probably the most important part of building muscle as well he is not wrong but the whole 'supplement' thing you havent subscribed to is nonsense ok...

  • one of the problems i have is im in the air force and the quantity of meat as well as the quality isnt very good a lot of the time which usually results in left overs. I find that the protein shake gives me peace of mind really because i really dont wanna do all that work and not see results.

  • Well, I think you're wrong on this topic. Not sure if you meant protein post workout or just protein in general but post workout you must take protein within 30 minutes of finishing your workout in the form of a shake. In fluid form it goes straight to your muscles. Eating a steak and rice dish after your workout the protein will take longer to digest and go directly to your muscle making you miss your 'window'. But I like your videos they are informative and interesting. Respect.

  • @justloochin No. A little extra protein is not going to hurt you. But remember, ANY unused calories can be stored as fat. But at 145 lbs. it sounds like extra food is not going to be a problem.

  • Hello I just have some questions. Im 26 years old, 5'11, 210 pounds. I'm trying to build muscle, I want to be bigger and stronger. How much protein do I need to eat a day? Also, should I take Whey Protein, Aminoacid Pills and Fat Burner Pills to enhance my workout and my results? Thanks

  • @firmans1989rules woha, chill out big-guy. I was making a joke. Protein shakes are not bad for you, your parents are just concerned about the whole supplement world and it seems like they are getting their info from some crazy anti-supplementation website....(pssst protien shakes are the gateway drug to supplements) haha

  • @firmans1989rules Your parents are crazy

  • @firmans1989rules Yes, they are safe but you don't need them. Just eat regular food. There's no magic in protein shakes.

  • very quick question....do you believe in the whole eating 1 Gram of protein per pound of weight you weigh.....im hearing that everywhere these days and its just not adding up....

  • @th3flash23 No! You just don't need all that extra protein. Supplementing with EXTRA protein does not speed muscle growth and makes weight loss more difficult.

  • Thank you very much, Steve. I eat a healthy dose of chicken/beef/fish/milk on a daily basis, and I kept searching for the ideal protein powder to buy. After watching this video, I'm glad I found out that I don't really need protein powder and that natural foods are more than enough. Thank you again!

  • @brushfour44

People like Jericho Sunfire do NOT look old and dead. He's a PERSONAL TRAINER. People like you, meat/dairy addicts just have serious emotional issues and cannot bear to see it for the addiction it actually is, which is why you can respond immediately with "NO WAY" and really, anything to defend your addiction. DENIAL. You dont need protein to get strong, you just need to train. If animal products were so healthy they wouldnt make so much mucus, and they would cure colds....

  • @TheUtuber Don't lecture me on protein and nutrition,..I'll spin circles around both you and Jericho Sunfire. You have no idea what my protein intake is or what my diet consists of. You'll need to re-read my post and this time pay attention. You said that you don't need food to live. Easily the stupidest comment on this channel to date. Qi Gong, Yoga, do not improve cardiovascular condition and build very little if any muscle. Breathing your way to fatloss is a scam exposed long ago. Wake up.

Where do i go? i dont want to just go to he gym and start lifting weights the wrong way, and i'm concerned anbout what and how much food to eat. can i be a full time student, work a full time job and be dedicated to transforming my body? i ask others here around me, but they are either not interested or they are just clueless, the guys at the gym are not professional. • You really dont need food to live, just a dedicated routine of circulation management via weights, cardio, qi gong, yoga, breathing rhythmically, etc. All food does is create mass. If you dont believe me look at my videos. Check out Jericho Sunfire he is a personal trainer doesnt eat anything or even drink...look up a guy called "Nature Love" he eats one salad a day and is jacked. Meat and highly toxic foods just make the body retain water and look massive, its NOT muscle. Wake up people.

  • @TheUtuber00 THAT is NOT true. If you're eating that little and still alive,...it's because your basal metabolic rate has so slowed to keep you alive. That's a horrible way to exist and you'll perform terribly and look old before your time. Very bad advice.

  • @brushfour44 I'd like to know what he means by "highly toxic foods". Probably another blind Sean Croxton follower

  • hello im trying to lose a LOT of weight by summer so im eating a lot of fruits through my day and taking in very few calories but im def not starving myself. my question is i do cardio about 2 and a half hours a day and also curl my dumbells i want to get protein but dont want calories. is there any foods you recommend that have 0 calories that also have a lot of protein. thnx for EVERYTHING!

  • @leavittobeaver there is nothing in the known world that can contain protein and have zero calories. a gram of protein has 4 calories, carbs have 4 and fat has 5 calories. just for your own info :)

  • @KillSwitchEngage0101 You're right. And Fat has 9 calories.

  • @KillSwitchEngage0101 fat has nine calories not five. just for your own info.

  • why do people who build muscle always talk about protein?

    what does it do?

  • @AintDoneYet123 because lets say you train on your bicep you are ripping the bicep muscle tissue and the only way to fix that is protein what it does it repairs it and it fills it up in other words it makes it bigger and grow
