Another great variation of Frankenstein and his legendary Creature. Kenneth Branagh directed this film plus he was the leading actor here - perfect job in both departments. Robert De Niro was brilliant as The Creature. Every single scene was very well done. It was nice to see Ian Holm too - loved his work in 'Alien' and 'The Fifth Element'
Um amor tão forte que faz um homem recriar sua amada em um quase monstro e ainda assim conseguir ser alegre, feliz por um instante só por tê-la de volta merece SIM um aplauso.
@spacecowboy5000 yeah he did. I wrote this a year ago when I was still in high school. This story is mentioned in college more than any other I read in high school. It's really interesting.
he was insance, he saw Eizabeth, he wanted Elizabeth and she was forced back to life. she knew she was a monster, and she loved him... but not like this... he tried to get his love back, in such moments he forgot what he did
I have read the storybook version of this film version by Leonore Fleischer and it's much longer and more dramatic than as seen in the film. Apparently a lot of cuts were made. I hope a "Director's Cut" DVD will be released sometime soon including all of the cuts.
When the Creature escapes into the woods, he rescues a wounded dear, and carries it away with him, only to smother it to death while doing so. There's also a scene where he kills a prostitute and wants her body as her mate.
Kill Bill is gross in an incredibly exaggerated way.
This whole sequence in Frankenstein is, to me, more disturbing because of how insane Victor has become in his attempt to salvage his love with Elizabeth. Not to mention incredibly heartbreaking when Elizabeth's face quivers when she realizes what's happened.
