its used to be with thrall, vol'jin and carine were the true leaders of the horde although there are the goblins, bloodelves and the undead, these 3 are the ones that kept the horde alive.
Truly inspiring. I'm sure Garrosh will grow over time, and rise to be the leader that the Horde needs. Thrall didn't make this decision lightly, after all.

Good thing I stopped playing WoW... Garrosh sucks, Cairne is dead, it's more about graphics than gameplay now, and they're running out of lore bosses to kill.
Idea! What if Garrosh starts pissing everyone off and the other leaders plan a nice little coup d'etat against him. Garrosh becomes a raid boss and when you kill him Thrall comes back.

@MusicGarbage Thrall went to Nagrand first, then the Maelstrom, after escaping Alliance dolts who wanted to capture him and thus prevent him from saving the world. I think he did succeed in his mission at the Maelstrom. The questline for recovering the world pillar would seem to support this.
Rexxar would be a great warchief. People would respect him bacause he saved orgrimmar and is champion of the horde there would be no horde if it wasnt for him the only problem is that he wants to protect his people but really the orcs are his people so his clan can just come with. This is kinda possible chance of happening cus on rexxar wow page it says he is going to be part of catta! so yay

I dont think Garrosh is that bad myself, I mostly think the fighting between him, Cairne and Vol'jin was a senseless waste since Garrosh did not even do the things that forced Cairne to duel him to death. But Thrall is still my Warchief and he will always be even though I understand why he had to go save the world (in the deepholm storylines he was holding the world together alone!)
By the way, read the quest Wilirau. There are plenty of orcs who are like Thrall and dont like Garrosh methods.
Garrosh is the new Warchief cuz the horde wouldnt feel so powerful anymore and Alliance would get more spirit. After all... Blizzard GMs are more Allies than Hordes
@DarthSears Horde doesn't work like humans would, it's not a human kingdom and doesn't work based onto our basis and morals. Orcs are very war driven race and always were, even long before the demon blood shizzle. The only reason why people so easily relate with Thrall is because he was raised by humans and by human standards and as such, portrays a human character a lot more rather than orc.

No, it has been stated in lore sources that the sole reason why the orcish clans lived far apart from each others was because they would have been fallen into a bloody civil war if they kept contact. They were never a peaceful race. Shamanistic yes but if you look into most of the shamanistic socities in the history, they were bloodied and brutal. Also, as I said before, the slaughtering and genocide of entire draenei population happened before the blood curse.

@danutzkid22 If you want to come up with arguments atleast bloody make sure they are true. Draenei population massacare DID happen before the blood curse, as told in the book "Rise of the Horde". And since the whole demon curse happened in the holy city of Karabor, ya think draenei just peacefully did let orcs come in to chat with their mortal enemies, demons, to forge new alliances eh?

I think Blizzard wanted to show the mess it was even in the Faction, just before and after the Shattering. Bad decision lead to another war H-A, that was what Blizzard promised. It's successful.

it was a scary time for Azeroth; supplies dwindled everywhere from the events of Wrath and the Twilights Hammer cultists were there ready to take advantage of any unrest with Thralls decision of peace and inability to provide what was needed.
Thrall thinks if he chose someone whom the people considered "old and out of touch" then there would be even more unrest which could further threaten the stability of the Horde
I read the Shattering and I can make some sense of Thrall's decision now:
he had to step down as Warchief to help the Earthen Ring this was unavoidable, and he DID consider Cairne, Saurfang and Eitrigg (an old orc who advises him) as his stand-ins as well
but it wasn't just about the most appropriate leader, it was also about keeping the Horde as a whole calm
Garrosh seems like a fool right now but after reading his story online you will find out what he believes in and what are his goals. As a fresh leader it is unavoidable for him to make some mistakes (like banishing the trolls from Og, or sending his armed airguards to fight the Ally leaving his Zeppelins vulnerable to attacks), however it is also shown that he is able to learn from these mistakes and in time he could become what Thrall believes him to become. For now I don't like him at all.

I dont think Garrosh is that bad myself, I mostly think the fighting between him, Cairne and Vol'jin was a senseless waste since Garrosh did not even do the things that forced Cairne to duel him to death. But Thrall is still my Warchief and he will always be even though I understand why he had to go save the world (in the deepholm storylines he was holding the world together alone!)
By the way, read the quest Wilirau. There are plenty of orcs who are like Thrall and dont like Garrosh methods.

@DarthSears Horde doesn't work like humans would, it's not a human kingdom and doesn't work based onto our basis and morals. Orcs are very war driven race and always were, even long before the demon blood shizzle. The only reason why people so easily relate with Thrall is because he was raised by humans and by human standards and as such, portrays a human character a lot more rather than orc.

No, it has been stated in lore sources that the sole reason why the orcish clans lived far apart from each others was because they would have been fallen into a bloody civil war if they kept contact. They were never a peaceful race. Shamanistic yes but if you look into most of the shamanistic socities in the history, they were bloodied and brutal. Also, as I said before, the slaughtering and genocide of entire draenei population happened before the blood curse.

@danutzkid22 If you want to come up with arguments atleast bloody make sure they are true. Draenei population massacare DID happen before the blood curse, as told in the book "Rise of the Horde". And since the whole demon curse happened in the holy city of Karabor, ya think draenei just peacefully did let orcs come in to chat with their mortal enemies, demons, to forge new alliances eh?

So, actually, the Trolls, who trusted only in Thrall will be commanded by Garrosh, witch first objective is to destroy the alliance. In the same time, the Goblin come, and the Forsaken attack Gilneas and show at everyone they can destroy every kind of life with their f*cking plague. The Taurens, who will not be okay for this at all, are busy with the dwarf who awaken the spirit of Motherearth buy diging in the Barrens.

@CWScott24 Yes, forgot this. It's a bit less the mess in the Alliance, but there's Political problems between the Dwarven clan, and the Worgen won't get help from Stormwind human's.
I think Blizzard wanted to show the mess it was even in the Faction, just before and after the Shattering. Bad decision lead to another war H-A, that was what Blizzard promised. It's successful.

it was a scary time for Azeroth; supplies dwindled everywhere from the events of Wrath and the Twilights Hammer cultists were there ready to take advantage of any unrest with Thralls decision of peace and inability to provide what was needed.
Thrall thinks if he chose someone whom the people considered "old and out of touch" then there would be even more unrest which could further threaten the stability of the Horde

I read the Shattering and I can make some sense of Thrall's decision now:
he had to step down as Warchief to help the Earthen Ring this was unavoidable, and he DID consider Cairne, Saurfang and Eitrigg (an old orc who advises him) as his stand-ins as well
but it wasn't just about the most appropriate leader, it was also about keeping the Horde as a whole calm

Garrosh seems like a fool right now but after reading his story online you will find out what he believes in and what are his goals. As a fresh leader it is unavoidable for him to make some mistakes (like banishing the trolls from Og, or sending his armed airguards to fight the Ally leaving his Zeppelins vulnerable to attacks), however it is also shown that he is able to learn from these mistakes and in time he could become what Thrall believes him to become. For now I don't like him at all.

I like Garrosh he represents the actual true ancestry of the orcs being brown, and he survied in out land which means he has experiance in being tough and a strong leader, enough to lead the horde out of these troubled times, thats why Thrall chose Garrosh to be the leader of the Horde. Garrosh also looks good I think. Saurfang also teaches Garrosh about Honor when their together in the North
