  • Burnnell stated Tenaya was a Paiute and spoke a Pah Ute jargon. No mention of Miwoks or the word in his book. Burrnell said Tenaya said he was born to a Mono Lake Paiute and his father was from Ahwahnee. Look at the Owen Valley Paiute creation story and you will see Owahnee is a Paiute word. I do like your videos though, however it was the Miwoks who were the gold diggers for major savage. Savage even married quite a few children of the miwok aged 10 years to 14 I believe.
