  • wow fender mustang SOUNDS great 1 A

  • @sebastianvonhacht No! This is Jazzmaster!! I said to Jason Lollar "Your Musicmaster pickup is..."

    He said "No,No,it's Jazzmaster!!" LOL

    Thank you!!

  • 素晴らしいトーン!

    切れ味の良いソロ

    堪らないノリの良さ

    渋いベースラインとトーン

    funky!

  • @yakimonoya ありがとうございます。ベースの音圧が意外と高くてちょっとバランスが取り辛かったのですがなんとかやっつけました(笑

  • Buttery.

    Great tone!

    Great playin too...

  • Thanks. Though I don't know about EC so much, this guitar is good looking. I love it.

  • *****Great funk & blues music - I break out in a COLD SWEAT!!!

Thank you for commenting and visiting my JOHN LEE HOOKER CARTOON.

  • Man I loved your style! James Brown would be proud. I also played with Lollar Blackfaces on my Deluxe Strat. They were great pickups. This Lollar guy knows what he's doin. Keep funkn bro!

  • Great funky little thing!

  • Thank you.

    JM is for funk! :-)

  • Great - what would you say, is it worth it for getting a different sound when I own a Strat? It seems to me it sounds more Tele-ish, would you agree?

    Again, great playing!

  • I agree. I think JM was often used for old 60-70s Soul music that many people believed those were Tele.

However, some of the current standard JM are Stratoish.

I don't know why. But EC-JM is Teleish.

So I recommend EC-JM or check some of standard JM at guitar stores.

Thanks. I will visit your channel later.

  • I do like the EC model. I really do. I never thought I'd think that a brown furniture finish would look so hot but man I like it. I'd get one two have a second JM.

  • I agree. Though I don't know anything about Elvis Costello, simply this ECJM is really nice as an excellent JM,I thought.

  • Oh I'm an Elvis Costello fan. Have been since my Sophomore year in HS back in 1982. Was glad to see Fender have a tribute model in his name. He's great. Wish they would do one like his other one with the name written in the fretboard. Nice playing you do by the way. Thanks for the video.

  • But of course I know "She" :-) Wonderful tune!

    Thank you.

  • I played the EC model and the vintage AV reissue and besides the finish, I didn't notice a sound difference. To me I thought the pickups sounded the same. I must be missing something.

  • Or you got a very good choice of reissue JM.:-)

  • the pickups are exactly the same in both models.

  • Very cool and tasty funk! Nice sounds out of that Jazzmaster, I can't wait to get mine.

  • Thanks. Your band is also cool.

Are you going to buy EC-JM?

I recommend. This is nice one.

  • believe it or not, I actually won a 50th anniversary JM form Fender. I'm hoping it arrives in a couple of weeks.

  • Wow!! Congras!!

Pls post your live performance using it!!

  • Awesome playing and killer video!! I was wondering how you like the Lollars versus the stock soapbars?

I've got an 80's MIJ and absolutely love the sound of its PU's...how come you switched?

    Thanks!!!

  • Thank you so much.

I thought both were nice. Much better than the standard Fender JM.

EC's original PU is "dry" a little bit.

    Lollar's has rich tone.

In many cases,Lollar's is better I think but the original one may be better for some ROCK tunes.

    BTW,what is MIJ?

    Thanks

  • MIJ MADE IN JAPAN

Lollars eh? ill gotta check them out, i may buy a EC!

    groovy tune dude

  • Oh thanks.I'm also MIJ and a vintage one:-):-).

    Yes,actually 80s Fender-J was really good.

I recommend EC. A little bit expensive but worth it.

    Thanks.

  • Thank you so much.

    I saw your myspace channel.

    So glad to meet you.

  • heejjj Gomente

    So cool

  • Too late!! Hahaha :-):-)

    Thanks.

  • hey i was lookin at a fender jaguar till i came across the elvis costello jazzmaster

how much did you get your EC Jazzmaster for?

i think i checked it for 2150 Canadian?

  • 210000JPY=2100USD=2760Canadian in the latest rate.

I purchased it on September. So now the price must be lowered because of weak dollar.

In Japan,Fender guitars are sold thru a Japanese dealer. So they are going to be expensive.

  • What kind of strings are you using here? Great playing.

  • D'addario Regular.(.010-0.46) Not special set.

Maybe you care about the bridge,I think.

The bridge of Jazzmaster is well known as being easy to make the skinny strings out of the rails.

    But mine was OK.

When I purchased it,"Strings for Jazzmaster and Jaguar" was in the hard case in advance.

    Its gauge was .011-.

    Thank you for watching.

  • great sound/video. just bought a fender 59 thin skin jazzmaster reissue. sounds great but i think lollars are in my future. thanks for the great demo.

  • Thank you.

I think "thin skin" is better so I can imagine your JM is very nice.

  • Awesome!!!

The costello JM is probably the best JM on the market and you've made a good choice with the Lollar pups.

  • Thank you. In fact,I purchased Lollar pickups three month ago and have been waiting for Costello JM on sale:-)

Thank you Jazzmaster11-san. Your channel is also great.

  • ありがとうございます私の友人

    What's your amp?

  • For this recording,I used Siegmund microtube preamp and Orange Tiny Terror. The Speaker output was connected to Axetrak.

So it was recorded in the closed air. But Axetrak is not so bad.

I think it is useful. Especially for Fender guitars.

  • Brilliant, of course...

  • Thanks,friend.

I consider a tune in Chicago blues style for the next.

  • Wow!! I do think you are the coolest guy on the planet Gomente! 5 stars and shared!!! Fav'd too!

  • Hahaha...Thank you.

Next is your turn. You got to sing sometime:-)

  • LOL Ok but will you play for me again?? ;)

  • Of course!! ;-)

  • YAY!!!!!!!!!!

  • Allright, cold sweat !! Nice albert collins vibe on that one ! This guitar definately has "early 70s funk" written all over it

  • Cold Sweat!! Yes,that's it!!:-)

I referred to JB's tune but I could not remember the tune title :-)

    Thanks,Tim-san.

  • so cool

  • Hey!! Try this at guitar store.

    JM is also cool :-)

    Thanks

  • Woaw... so cool man !

Good music and very nice JazzMaster.

  • Thanks,Boudg-san.

I recommend you Costello model if you consider to purchase JM.

It is much better than the current re-issue model.

  • No chile,no jalapeno for the next trip:-):-)

    Thanks

  • Very cool to see and hear the improvement! The first part great and second even better. Nice to

    see you posting again. ~Terry

  • Thank you Terry-san.

Yes,I thought the second one was a little bit rich.

    Now this is my fav.

  • Superb work.A treat in every way.*****

  • Thank you.

At first I bought a pair of Lollar pickups 3 months ago and I've been waiting for Costello Jazzmaster on sale :-):-)

  • Excellent my friend. It does not get better then this.

    Chris

  • Thanks. But I won't do no more!!

Video of "Before and After" needs double work :-)

This time I took 7 videos and made 9 text animations!!! :-):-) So tired.

Next time,I will make simple video.

    Thank you,Chris-san.
