okay for you guys who are dissing on Kerry. Okay yes we know that she isn't Freddie...duh. Please stop using that, if you don't like listening to her sing Queen songs, don't! Go listen to Queen on your Ipod. I'm sorry to say to those who say she is just okay...obviously have had their ear drums busted. (my opinion obviously) Brian May doesn't select bad singers to produce and play for. He played for Freddie and knows talent when he sees it.

to folks who think she should sing with Queen:

there needs to be no new singer for Queen. as far as I'm concerned Queen the band officially died with John Deacon's retirement in 1997, after having been dealt a mortal blow with Freddie's death in 1991. There's no Queen without Freddie or John. It'd be like Paul McCartney and Ringo got together and started calling themselves The Beatles. It just wouldn't/doesn't (in case of Paul Rodgers et al) work.

Anyway that's my (strong) opinion.

Kerry has such a versatile voice and this is the reason she has never been in her own words "pigeon holed" into one specific genre. She does not only have a fantastic voice but she is also a fantastic actress and a lovely person to boot. Why can't all stars be like this?

For a start she is a female theatre singer who bases her style around belting whereas Freddie is a rock singer who based his style around falsetto. Their voices are worlds apart.

I don't disagree that Kerry can sing, because she can. She's a phenomenal singer. But Gaga is still good as well. Completely different. Gaga stands for theatricality and originality. Whereas Kerry is more soulful in her singing.
