Good analysis. I don't mind the eyeliner though. The Cure can't be catorgorized, and Robert gets pissed when they are labeled as Goth, etc. Robert's work has a tragic, Shakespearean guality to it, steeped in deep melancholy.

Though I admired The Cure in their prime when everyone else liked Guns and Roses, I never fully understood how powerful this band was until my divorce recently. Heartache is inevitable with love, and The Cure has got me through these hard times. Thank you Robert!
