mario's 26th annerversary! i hope mario had a good 26th brithday! 1985- 2011/2012! mario will never grow old! in 1985 it just started with that grey NES box and all you had was duck hunt and super mario bros! you pop that game in and and it was a instant classic! from goomba stomping to defeating bowser to rescue beloved peach was a great and addictive fun! and mario will always be nintendo's beloved icon forever! mario will never die! so mario i hope you had a great birthday!
@1Psyblade1 in 1981 he was not called mario he was called jumpman then when dk jr came out he was then called mario but those were the atari days! then when the acual days of the NES and side scrolling games came out in 1985 thus super mario bros was born! because all the players cared about was the NES era! not the atari era! and you would be saying that the atari was made by nintendo! but you would be wrong! so there you have it! it was 1985-2012!
@mythbustersfan3456 Atari never owned Jumpman, let alone Mario - both of which were the same people. Regardless of the absence of the NES, Mario still existed before 1985. I agree he'll be a beloved icon for a long time to come - he may not have been under the same name as he is today, but he did indeed originate from Donkey Kong, from 1981. Heck, if they ever got the rights, we would have had a Popeye game instead of Donkey Kong - Wikipedia the arcade game Donkey Kong, you'll see what I mean.
This song reminds me of the entire history of the Super Mario Bros. series all in one song. You have the 8 bit chiptunes that remind you of the original SMB, and you have the steel drums and glockenspiel that remind you of Super Mario All Stars, and then you have the overall 3D sound to it that reminds you of modern Mario games. Overall, this must be one of the best and most nostalgic remixes of the Mario theme that I remember hearing.
