  • free light show :D

  • put four bottle lids on each corner and keep old books in the freezer slide them under and replace them when they warm up

  • @Henry1993bc wait, are u kidding or does this actually work?

  • @Voiderify bottle caps definitely work, keeping anything cold underneath will help

  • A company offered to recycle some old desktops the local community college wanted rid of. I was building my first desktop at the time and needed some case fan mounting screws. They generously let me pull the old desktops apart and take whatever I wanted free of charge. I got several fans, optical drives, and some other stuff from it. I wish to make a custom laptop cooler for my laptop with the scavenged parts. Any advice on how to make a safe(won't shock me or ignite) AC powered laptop cooler?

  • how many kw dos it draw

  • Why can't people turn the damn TV off when making you tube videos??!!

  • You build your for $73.44 and they sell them on Ebay for roughly £5 but the fans aint so good so buy the plasic of ebay and use proper fans ;) easier and cheaper

  • cool

  • I like how this requires money and skill to a certain extent, yet the quality of this video is lacking...

  • how did u crate the plastic thingy

  • my custom cooler is two ice packs, can't compete with the awesomeness of that

  • nice

  • whats it run off of?

  • how much?

  • you should us a ac or dc adapter

  • hate light colour's

  • but dude , we look for cooling our laptops ,but we hate noise man , i rather use the hole ventilation system of my house than using this tablet . i suggest a thing but I'm just starting working on it , it's cooling laptop using a water cooler like office pcs

  • cool

  • lmao that sounds like a jet taking off

  • yea lol i'd rather use a hair-drier, cauz it's just as noisy.

  • whats the name of that glass? where do u get it? how can u cut it?

  • 2 noisy...sounds like a vacuum cleaner:))

  • yeah right, its making too much sound.. maybe you should buy some silent fans, instead of using those noisy bitches. Whats the point of fan control if its always noisy:P

  • Are u Cop??????

  • true dv9000 is one of the worst laptops. especially with the risk of not waking from sleep. have a terrible experience with my v3000 and dv9000 too.

  • ya some laptops are really great but some suck. i loved my macbook....

until i decided to play call of duty on it

  • u could hoover your house with dat thing

  • u need to get quieter fans

  • lmao...sounds like a leaf blower....hmmmmmmm....

  • so wots beneficial about doing this apart the cooling and the light display?

  • it cools your 80 degrees Celsius laptop..what else do you need, lol

  • its noisy ands its ugly but it looks cooling good!!! nice job!!

  • The best cooling pad ever made has just been released. Its from (Logitech) and its called (Cooling Pad N100) I highly recommend it to anyone I myself have tried many different cooling pads however none compare to the N100!! Plus you get 3 years warrenty.

  • ye nice --i was thnkin of makin 1 but i am gonna buy 1(nice tho)

  • damn is that a leave blower!

  • i prefer ziploc bags of ice covered in dish towels.

    ice doesnt make noise :D

  • thts loud as

  • Very Loud but hey i guess it cools well

  • There is way too much noise for it to be useful for me. I bet it cools nice though.

  • whats the point of the lights if they are underneath your laptop when your using it lol......

  • stop with your lol's... its a cool effect in my opinion

  • decoration.. its nice to see a blue light coming beneath your laptop

  • to fucking loud you fag wad

  • gay

  • the light things must be annoying as fuck.

  • how'd u make it? plz reply with instructions (my Mac Mini overheats all the time!)

  • Are you playing Crysis on it lol?

  • lol no

  • My head would explode when i used this thing for 5 minutest, this is just awful.

  • get a desktop

  • wont the lights make it over heat

  • why did you use two different types of fans? why not just use all 4 of the same kind?

  • why use the same type ? :P

  • yea i guess its more creative that way, should have alternated them tho =] checkerboard style!

  • Hard-core cooling for a laptop!

    Do you feel gangsta now?

  • Nice Job, but it sounds like a vacuum cleaner =/

  • nice done man!

  • That looks pretty neat, check out my more contemporary single fanned cooler/stand in my profile.

  • how do you make it?

  • cool but a little noisy, how much was it for all the parts?

  • if it's less than 20 bucks i'll make one

  • same here, i'm tired of using 4 gameboy cartridges to elevate my laptop and a small fan behind my laptop to blow air under it =P

  • omg I'm exactly like you!!!

  • lol i tried to find other things besides gameboy cartridges but oddly yet they seem to be the best that i could find around the house lol

  • All that lights will not make it cooler

  • true but it looks better m8

  • there only LED's, they hardly produce any heat.

  • Won't make it warmer, either.

  • too noisy mate.

  • did you like took off the new ones and made to a flexible cooling pad

  • that's soo loud for a cooler

  • but whys it not in a laptop?

  • cause laptops are small, dur?

  • its called a joke, dur?

  • show it with a actuall laptop on it

  • sounds scary

  • How can we run fans on ac power??

  • a different model is available on my page

  • this is custom made. urs is out of a box.

  • cool

  • hey man I also trying to make one, but I have no bloody idea how to make it run on a usb, I mean I am gonna attach 3 more fans to it but I can't find a way to actually make it run can you please give me an idea mate!!!!

  • my advice to u is make it run on ac adaptor, if u run it on usb it will mae ur computer hotter and ur laptop cooler will have no use. if u still want to run it on usb , usb has 4 wires roughly , 2 of them are power. find out which ones are power and use those.but i highly recomend using ac power

  • Well the thing is, my usb port doesn't connect to the laptop it connects the mains instead through a USB power supply, I know this wont help.... So can give me an advice on how to make it run on a ac adapter??? Coz I have no idea how would that wrok either!!!

  • R u sure, that using the USB would be of no use in cooling the laptop....cauz i brought this really expensive Laptop Cooler....but it only has USB

Maybe i have to use a USB to AC Adapter.

    Adivice Me!

  • yes i am sure. becasue taking power from your laptop and making it working harder will just make it heat up. and sometimes the most expensive things arent the best.

  • @marinator1 agreed..........great example would be mac products

  • @marinator1

That's not completely true you just have to limit the amount of power you're draining from the USB, which is why most excellent quality coolers have two tiny fans almost unworthy of being stock CPU fans. All a cooler needs to do is move hot air away, and pull in cool surrounding air. Nothing more, or less. Using giant fans, or more fans then needed is called over compensating.

Awesome setup though, real fancy, but not very portable. ^_^ Add a battery then it might be improved.

  • @187closed accually usb fans are just gimicks, they dont generate enought air to really cool the laptop

  • @187closed The usb powered laptop coolers do not add any significant amount of heat, and anyone who tells you it does is telling lies.

The downside to USB laptop coolers is they aren't designed for your model of laptop specifically so they probably wont be that effective :)

  • @fatguyslim y suck my dick

  • Pretty sweet bro... I would definitely try to bribe you to make me one, but I have a Mac Book so no need to worry about trying to cool mine down from the bottom. But pretty sweet bro, pretty damn sweet

  • thanks

  • do you make the fans blow up at the laptop OR make them suck hot air away from the laptop? could you message me the answer please because i aim to make one soon ... THANKS IN ADVANCE

  • i make them blow up.

  • @qwerty20065 yes blow, because cool air displaces hot air faster than sucking the hot air out. in theory and in perfect condition, sucking the hot air out would be better, but then you're talking about putting the fan physically on the part where it is creating heat, which is impossible to do on a laptop (desktop you can). so pushing cool air in and let the cool air "sucks" the hot air out is better in this scenario.

  • man thats a really nice cooler, great job

  • thank you

  • then it nice

  • is it the best

  • what u think of it ?

  • very nice but how can u see the light if u have a reguler laptop and dosent it wast more energy that way

  • yes u can see the light with any laptop . any it feeds of 12v power supply so no power from laptop
