Where was this train going? I rode this train that year in Sept. from Emmaus to Pennsburg and back. If it was heading southbound, where did they turn back? At Port Clinton? Or Reading?
I'll never forget having a cab ride on the BM&R line with the Late Charile Kachel behind the throttle. He had her moving too. We were doing 55 on the track through Glenn. Thanks for posting the video, you did a great job filming in the cab BTW.
Andy Muller should have revived this beast, 425 is nice but she needs assistance from Reading & Northern SD-50's all the time, 2102 would just pull anything and not break a sweat.
You and me both qlancer, the 2102 would be high on my list if I had a large windfall of cash. I'll never forget how I felt that day watching her steam in standing there with my uncle.
i love the sound of the drivers as they rumble by ah i wanna see a steam engine in real life

@RandN425 Good point, what was wrong with her that made the R&N put her away?

I remember this trip. I was 7. The good old days. If I ever win the lottery, I'll pay for her restoriation. Just for old time's sake

Maybe she could run on the Ohio Central Railroad, Western Maryland Scenic Railroad, or even the Steam Locomotive Institute.
