Hey Iam from America we get this here a lot LOL :) SO hey german climate is changing I lived in asslar for 9 years so Ive noticed quiet a drastic changein the weather pattern. I study Meteorology myself at University of Michigan.

@ajdis:Not true.Bonn has always had such rainy thunderstorms.They´re rare but they happen because of the narrow valley site of Bonn.Weather chronicles from already 100 to several hundred years before report of such heavy thunderstorms.We call this a smaller"Orkan"in Germany+it really can´t be compared to hurricane Kathrina+similar.Lots of modern subjective views about so-called"weather phenomenons"are a bit modern paranoia.We should rather look at Japan+its silly politicians+reactor owners now.
