Several fairly large studies have found no link between vaccination and autism. It is still, possible that there IS a link that the studies didn't pick up, but it would likely be a very weak link. Even if vaccines DID "cause" autism it would still make sense to vaccinate your children. A one in a million chance of autism would be an acceptable risk for averting a 1 in ten thousand risk of death from say meningitis. Mercury is still in vaccines, and there is still a causative effect observable in children that receive mercury in various vaccinations vs. those who do not, increasing in likelihood from birth to 2 years of age, depending on how many mercury-preserved vaccines were received by the child.

Minute amounts of ethyl mercury in Thimerisol? It is 49.6% mercury by weight. It is stored in the body and can be cumulative depending on a persons ability to extrete it. This ability is diet related. It has been shown that mercury poisoning mimics the symptoms of autism and this would explain the rise in autism rates. Nothing else has been suggested to account for this, and it does have a cause. You don't know what you are talking about.

Completely in contrary to what this guy says, a recent study published in Pediatrics (Pediatrics. 2008 Feb;121(2):e208-14.) shows ethyl-mercury is eliminated much more quickly than methyl mercury (hence: less bioavailable and hence less toxic)
