i live in germany. hash is forbidden and alc. is allowd. i take both. but: i go to work and nobody who is depending on me is suffering! when i hear that the man has a depression i will ask him:"do you think that your wife/your kids aint got depressions?". you can make children, than you MUST take care of them! in germany we´ve got the words: if you can make party, you can go to work. don´t take too much! alcohol is much more difficult to handle than hash, with it you won´t will be so aggressiv.

my dear sally i wasn't being "jumpy". i lived there for 15 years myself. drugs and alcohol are not allowed in Islam for this very reason but people still decide to do it, just like in the west. LIke i had previously stated this is due to deteriorating socio-economical factors in egypt not religion. and by your implication that they need jesus, you are indirectly implying that religion is the issue here. and i lived in the middle east, drugs are an issue but not as rampant as in the west
