i am with what Dean said in the episode on this one, it's nice he got the stick out of his ass...but to fall so far and hard and resort to drugs and stuff is just so heartbreaking. i love future!Cas but at the same time i feel so bad for him because while he may smile way more than now Cas does, its so hollow and empty, there's no feeling behind it..whereas when past!Cas smiles no matter how small the smile...its so full of true happiness

Shortest fanmade I've ever watched but it's among my favorite ones. I think the visual and the music work so well together that it gave my heart a squeeze. Gosh, those smiles were just sad. How ironic is that human!Castiel looks so laid-back, laughing and smiling all the time but really inside he was sorta dead.

I love how the lyrics are saddening, because by saying "smile like you mean it", it means that the person isn't smiling like they mean it. Future!Cas is smiling but he doesn't mean it because he doesn't like who he is anymore. He's not the Castiel that he once was. By smiling all the time, pretending to be having the time of his life, he makes everyone else think that he's fine when he really isn't.

I love you use of this song and I hope you do more like this. I'm a BIG FAN OF YOURS.

This little video (which is awesome by the way) makes me sad. I've watched this show since the beginning and "The End" is not only my favorite episode of season 5 so far, but probably my favorite episode in the whole series.

Cas's drug induced smile were heart breaking and it was much more heart breaking to see how far he had fallen. I don't even mean just angel to human, but from having so much hope in finding God and stopping the apocalypse to the broken person he became.
