  • I use this pedal for my vids ans my compositions, useful and great

  • What kind of Power Supply I must buy to use the pedal? 9V and 200mA?

    Can someone help me?

  • I play my cool cat vibe with a maxon od 808 and sound superb hendrix!!

  • one of my favorite pedals. this thing eats batteries so an adapter is a must. to get rid of the annoying switch-on delay I had to cut the red +9 volt wires from the switch and solder them together

  • @PhuckHue2 Could you elaborate? I'm looking to mod mine and I'd love more detailed instructions.

  • @DudleyScardsdale it's easy. you will see 2 red wires going to the switch. those are the power wires. just cut both wires from the switch and solder them together. the reason they are soldered to the switch in the first place is to save battery power when the pedal is off. nobody uses this pedal with batteries anyway

  • SRV?

  • hey moe, thanks for the demo man! I just wonder if this gives you that low end throb like the real univox univibe? peace! :D

  • Thank you for a great demo!

  • dude looks like dewey cox in the dark.

  • I just ordered this thing. It sounds at least as good as my dunlop univibe which I got rid of for a trade. Of course the fulltone or megavibe is the best but at $50 cripes you can trower or hendrix a few jingles to get a fix then go back to your regular program!

  • better go vibe AFTER distortion. Maybe in the effects loop if you have it on the amp

  • Moe, did you know this has OVER 9 THOUSAND views???

  • Lenny...Kinda'

  • It has some de;ay till the bulb engages

and a slight volume boost ( also until the bulb enegages( yes areal photo bulb)

    too cool

  • Absolutely. It's quite similar to the Univibe pedal than Hendrix used.

  • Is this a good pedal for jimi hendrix muusic!!

  • wow great explination, thanks that clears it up exactly.

  • what is the difference between the cool cat vibe and the cool cat tremelo?

  • The vibe is a Univble clone, the tremlo is a tremelo effect

  • right i got that part.....i just am not hearing the difference between the two effects.

can you describe(yeah i know this would be tough) between the two?

they both pulse and you can control that with knobs...

  • Well tremelo sounds like the James bond theme, Un-vibe is Hendrix's Machine Gun. Its really hard to describe. over the net.

  • Vibe is pitch modulation. Tremolo is volume modulation. If you take your car radio and turn your volume knob up and down quickly, that's tremolo. Pitch modulation quickly detunes the note flat and then sharp and then flat and then sharp, etc. Hope that helps.

  • vibe goes woop woop and tremolo goes eh eh

  • i've had a danelectro and it's really noisy, how's this pedal?

  • It's not noisy. There is some noise floor when it is engaged (as with any pedal). When turned off it is true bypass. It's not a noisy pedal.

  • Do you know if the cool cats are analog or delay?? nice review 5 stars.

  • sorry i meant to say "analog or digital?"!! ups!

  • They're all analog, based on the product descriptions. I know the vibe is an analog vibe using the old school optical light sensor. Pretty cool.

  • that's Brian Wilson :O haha!

  • i just ordered one of these off amazon for $30 dollars brand new, i hope i get it soon, it sounds awsome

  • Play third stone from the sun!

  • nice man i like ur reviewskeep um up rock on

  • Distortion after a vibe is classic. Try a fuzz after the CV-1 for some Hendrix tones. It's funny that you're losing high end. Most say the CV-1 adds sparkle. Check your amp & guitar settings. I think your treble & volume could be set higher to brighten your tone. Very nice playing & a decent demo. I love the CV-1. It's built solid, sounds right and is perfectly sized & priced. My only gripe is the color. Surf green for a vibe? Hendrix & SRV are rolling over in their graves!

  • interesting and controversial to put the distortion AFTER the vibe... great demo though

  • I, too, found this controversial, however am willing to live with this.

On the ther hand the microphinc quality of the subject is a regret.

  • I was really surprised at the sound when you first kicked it on! Great! As for Lenny... Beautiful song, but no offense or anything but it totally lacked that super intense feeling that is Lenny. Work on it, less clinical and cold and more feeling from your playing, good tone though!

  • No offense taken. Not to sound defensive, but keep in mind that my playing in this video was a means to and end ... to show off the pedal. So I tried to keep it simple so I could repeat more or less the same thing with every adjustment of the pedal. And my mind was mostly focussed on the demo content rather than playing. But I get what you're saying about the "intense feeling" and will keep that in mind as I practice.

  • I dig. I figured that was what you were going for, I was even going to say in my original comment that it's probably just demo playing and not the real stuff. Anyhow, would love to see 'demos' of anything else you play through. Peace!

  • I like it! I like stuff like this with the depth kinda high, but the speed slow... trippy!

  • nice demo

  • Amazingly overdone, drunken, and wobbly - just like I like it!
