  • i surprised he could kick with a belly like that, no offence

  • not a roundhouse and totally easy technique

  • he reminds me of dr. rick marshall from land of the lost

  • Thumbs up if chuck norris brought you here

  • I thought he was going to kick the chair

  • He might not look pretty but that's the correct form. I disagree about this being a hard kick to learn though. I teach kids and most of them throw a pretty round kick...but almost all of them throw terrible sidekicks. I think a special class is in order.

  • 'dont use it as a crutch -' grabs it as a crutch

  • Big dislike on that one, the technique was flawed, he telegraphed the whole thing, if someone threw a kick at me like that, i'd blow out their knee

  • @rspkersdm Nope. Just a fact.

  • 16 people got roundhoused kicked

  • @cuongkim so are you watching this ?

  • it's kinda stupid when a fat AMERICAN is showing us how to do Martial Arts.. stick to bar fights..

  • That was suprisingly bad...

    This nis better: youtube.com/watch?v=ijz7eOPchHw&feature=g-all

  • youtube.com/watch?v=ijz7eOPchHw&feature=g-all

  • Out of breath eh?

  • I practice that without using a chair, 90 percent of the roundhouse kicks I throw just are in shadowboxing.

  • Tekken Hwoarang led me here xD

  • I was at my karate class and i did a sick kick followed by a spinning sidekick against a pad, it really hurt my knee and it still hurts now, when i do a roundhouse and i snap my knee back it hurts a lot, does anybody know what i have done?

  • @AyrtonSennaFan97 i think you may have hyperextended your leg keep it bent a little bit when you make contact.

  • Bruce Willis > Chuck Norris.

  • can anyone tell me who chuck norris is please.

  • @TheAtm47 you trollin? yeah you trollin!

  • @LivingLegendMrShadow what the fuck is that supposed to mean?!?!?!?!?

  • @TheAtm47 it means that I have I.D. you as a Troll; One who posts a deliberately provocative message to a newsgroup or message board with the intention of causing maximum disruption and argument. Your argument is invalid. U Mad Bro?

  • @LivingLegendMrShadow no BRO im not mad i just dont know who the fuck chuck norris is and i want to no...if your not going to tell me then get the fuck out of here and ill wait for sombody eles can tell me.

  • @TheAtm47 Dude there's nothing to worry about. A lot of people don't know who Chuck Norris. Hell, there are people who don't even know who Justin Beiber.

  • @TheAtm47 - Ever hear of a little thang called Google? It's amazing for answering challenging questions such as these. Much better than waiting around pathetically on a chat thread for someone to answer you because you're too brain-lazy to go seek your own answers. I do hope you can find it within yourself to behave with more cognitive awareness in the future.

  • The very first lesson in any martial art school is Respect. Some of us apparently missed that lesson!

He is a Sensei, and must be respected as such.

See you on the mat :)

  • lol the way he raises his knee would have him knocked out in every martial art. knee should raise up in front not sideways. More power and speed. Dont listen to this guy, go train at your local martial art gym. This video is a joke.

  • Haha I Liked both the top comments.

  • the top 2 comments are gay

  • Wrong explanation of a roundhouse kick.

  • Wow this was easier than it seems (I'm double jointed in the legs)

  • hes right with the technique except the way he brings his kick up. use the momentum for added power. speed=power.

  • How do we do an spin kick

  • how do we avoid hitting our toes when breaking a board?

  • @MsM3DIN suppose to pull your toes back

  • @wwwvenom yea thanks i just learned that technique. =) Thanks

  • If I refold won't I lose power in my kick

  • @ipoddish I suppose the idea is, after the initial impact's impulse, any further power is just pushing not hurting the target. You want to pull back to avoid being grabbed or to re-hit.

  • @ipoddish

you lose some but you lessen the chance of geting caught and right hooked in the face

  • he sounds out of breath

  • Chuck Norris Isn't that tough Jet Li Is the Shit.

  • @chanel6548 I'm just bloody kidding you prick. You clearly need some liquor in your diet buddy. If I want to debate base on real fact I wont do it on Youtube. I'LL be on the f**king history channel!

  • @MasterPreng fuck you and your god damn alcohol, and if theirs one thing i can't stand its alcohol! every time i see it i get pissed off because that type of poison is legal to have but not weed, and its been proven over and over again that weed is safer, but its still illegal, that's fucking bull shit! fuck the government and their god damn bull shit laws!

  • @chanel6548 Yeap ! lets blame the government!! Dont pay your taxes! strike strike...

  • this guy is wrecked, hes out of breath the whole vid

  • @DarrenM813 probably ate a big mac before he made this video

  • @pissed7oand a ham sandwich and some fried beans

  • This kick is easily blocked, I don't really see it's usefullness.

  • @OxAxS A lot of things can be easily blocked. That's why when you spar you do something called COMBINATIONS OF MOVES :U In which you use a VARIETY of kicks and punches TOGETHER so the opponent CAN'T BLOCK ALL OF THEM!

  • @butterscotchwm Yeah but when you block the first attack and make their hand/kick spazz they won't be able to do anything after that now would they?

  • @OxAxS What do you mean by "make their hand/kick spazz"?

  • Yodsanklai would knock chuck norris and Bruce lee out.

  • I learned this when i was in white belt in Tae Kwon Doe

  • Every time you create a text message you increase your chances of arthritis.

  • Hey! .....where the f**k is chuck norris???

  • Can you please do a video on to spar. What you should practice for competitions. That would be helpful.

  • Thanks this is really good. I hope I can do them now

  • does a karate round kick have the same power as a muay thai round kick?

  • I train kyokushin and this kick is similar but not the same,we kick with shinbone and we pull our leg back after kick we don't drop it in front of attacker cuz he can grab us or if he already had we just pull it back with a lighting fast pull

  • you spelled "martial" wrong *facepalm*

  • @MrBoombastic1100 no he didn't

  • wait sooo in the movie "enter the dragon" bruce lee kills chuck norris so if chuck norris can do all the things u say he can that means that bruce lee can do if 10 times better!!!!

  • Stop the chuck norris comments... it's getting annoying. He's not the only martial artist in the world

  • chuck norris once lit a campfire that is now know as the sun

  • When I roundhouse kick, I knock a chair over. Chuck Norris took a Chunk of of the sun and named it Pluto.

  • i dont know if i should do martial arts lessons

would it be realy helpfull 2 me

  • This is the first kick i learned in MMA. First of all, keep your leg straight. Dont bend your knee. And also keep your hands up

  • @sovietassassin2121 no chamber? wamp wuhh

  • Always ALWAYS keep ur guard up... even in training.

  • He is leaving himself wide open :S

  • @BBQfanNo1

Or maybe the dislikes are from people who have a more in depth knowledge of self defence and find this video too basic.. If they didn't care about self defence.. Then they wouldn't have watched it now would they.. :)

  • chuck norris roundhouse kicked 13 ppl

  • chuck norris roundhouse kicked 13 ppl

  • 13 dislikes are probably people without any balls and who don't believe in any self defense at all. They think the real world is always nice and safe without anyone ever harming them intentionally. They are people who live in sugar plum fairytale fantasy world. Not the real bad evil world.

  • This is not a very good way to round house kick, if your leg straightens out in the same line as your other foot steps, most of the power from the kick was before it got there, you must step with your left foot more to the left so the power is about half way to the straighten point, go watch Bas Rutten's video on this to get what i mean

  • @TheTransam1977 His leg kick is perfectly right for a normal martial arts point of view. for regular karate. Bas rutten's way of doing a roundhouse is better for a mma fight. Besides they're 2 different styles. Bas rutten's kick is more of a shin thrust kick. This is a more straigth forward leg hit. I couldn't find the right words but what I am trying to say is that Bas's kick is built more for destabilizing not just hurting the guy. This kick is more of a simple hurting kick, no destabilizing.

  • @TheTransam1977 Oh and another thing Bas's kick is based on planting your leg and opening your whole body to kick, while this technique is based on pivoting and using just your hips to hit. In terms of power both are very good body shots, but I prefer the pivot strike because it leaves me less open to attack. A shin hit like Bas's can fairly easily be avoided and u can even throw him off the game by hitting his planting leg. I'm just saying both are good u just need to know how 2 use them right.

  • @poofartass Agreed

  • dude like all the good heroes in James Patterson books can do a roundhouse kick. :D

  • man i was so excited to nail this and my leg isnt flexible enough yet to go 45 degrees lol

  • As black belt he should be able to do the kick slowly with out a chair for balance, what clown!

  • why don't people do a full turn before they kick so they have much more speed?

  • @samsnowball its looking better :D

  • @samsnowball If you did that, the kick wouldn't be a surprise. Furthermore, turning your body too much leaves you off balance. Not in the since of stability but you make one half of your body complete useless.

  • this looks easy when not explaind but its very hard

  • great...tomorrow someone will die

  • he is using a chair, what is that! i think he was an expert

  • @Namirrha its so that rather than focusing on his balance and not falling on his ass he can focus on getting the technique of the kick correct

  • Hahaaha, you call that a powerful kicks? Too many self-proclaimed experts on internet. Any of them ever sign up for a fight for once?

  • dont u move ur arm back so ur ribs are less compressed?

  • OMFG I just tried it and it's reeaally effective

as you said, "like a gun"

    very impressive

you have to do do it absolutely correctly, but it's quite easy

  • Technical issues aside, he seems to put a respectable amount of power into those demo kicks around 1:00. Pretty nice body snap.

  • this is NOT by any means an effective way to execute the kick. By lifting the knee sideways instead of in front of your body (and rotating the hip on the standing leg which really gives the whip-like momentum for the impact) the kick is slow, allowing the opponent to anticipate and counter it easily. Plus, it's hard to return to the fight stance after throwing the kick this way so it's pretty much rendered useless in competition.

  • you kick with the shin not with the foot

  • He has to reset his stance after each kick, not very effective.

  • time to KICK ASS!!

  • i thought he was guna kick the cahir and break it lolx !!

  • since the birth of chuck norris, roundhouse related deaths have gone up %80.

  • dudes u gotta give him credit.he does 5 or 6 clips at once ,he's 3000 pounds heavy and he's 500 yrs old. He's pretty impressive considering these stats

  • Chuck Norris is the reason why Waldo is hiding

  • @GoneFishy It's Wally not Waldo!

  • @GoneFishy Every time you create a text message you increase your chances of arthritis.

  • @GoneFishy bruce lee is the reason chuck norris is hiding

  • Comment removed

  • i am going to use your moves to kick some asshole from school's ass

punch in the eye kick him in the balls then when hes on the floor stomp stomp stomp

  • looks like a nice, NEW black belt that he's wearing.

  • nice video, but bad subtitles.

    But it's understandable

  • CHUCK NORRIS

  • 1:50

  • @ramon103t usefull

  • actually it's a normal mawashi geri..

  • @Grafflox yea that's just the karate name for a roundhouse

  • thanks :-)

  • ...Chuck Norris can do it better........

  • wow! so usefull!

i can do this in 2 minutes of practising :D

  • lol when I was younger I did taekwondo till green belt

now this is probably the only kick I can still do XD

  • CHUCK NORRIS!

  • fat guy

  • @ballbuster12345 you are XD

  • Conditioning the shin bones does not make it stronger or tougher. It just kills the nerves so you don't feel pain. So for all those people out there who want to train there shins and get used to the feeling of getting hit there just practice on a heavy bag, sand bag or another person. Dont go smashing beer bottles and metal objects across them.

  • But wear is his guard? People will block that kick and punish you in the face.

  • he is doing this kick in one of the least effective ways you can do this kick...also he was so out of breath after like what only 10 VERY light kicks? for an high level black belt you need better conditioning, like seriously he should be training his ass off. his conditioning is a disgrace to black belts. his conditioning is a pretty big flaw considering if anyone makes out of the first 2 minutes of a real fight he is done, no matter who it is...

  • @ShatterEffectt nah he just fails at breathing when he kicks

  • @ShatterEffectt he just fails at breathing when he kicks

  • Out of every kick i can do, this is my best and favorite.

  • have the tip for beginners, who want to work at home.

    good video

  • A true black belt wouldn't need a chair to balance themselves while demonstrating a round house kick.

  • kicking with the foot is better then with the shin.

  • @yankeesfan0130 If you've ever had a kick checked, you wouldn't be saying that.

  • @RebelWrestler45 actually i never kick to someones leg.

  • I prefer to bring my chamber straight up because it makes the kick faster and more deceptive.

  • @lordxgdoyo Yes, use your shin

  • I would rather hit with my shin so I don't break my foot. Breaking the other guy's leg or rib is better than breaking your own foot.

  • You're more likely to simply shatter your shin if you kick somebody with it. If you practice alot kicking with the top of your foot than it'll get stronger. Also, if you're kicking properly with the top of your foot, it won't hurt that much. If you have access to a heavy bag than practice on that. I do kickboxing exercises at my local gym.

  • Yeah shatter your shin, cause the bones in your instep are so much thicker, right?

  • Ahhh but your instep hinges, therefore it has a little bit of cushion. With you shin you have the full weight of your leg putting pressure on your shin. It'll just snap. And FYI, I do this every day. I know what hurts a day later and what doesn't.

  • Yeah, but that hinge also reduces force, so why not just use your shin and kick with less force? Plus, you said you can condition your foot. SAME WITH THE FUCKING SHIN. The only difference is that the shin is harder to break at first, also it's harder to break with the same amount of conditioning as the instep.

  • Fine, break your shin. I don't care. Why does my opinion matter so much anyway? I have experience doing this. Judging from the way you've been talking, you don't. Besides. Your shin has one muscle in front of it. That muscle is almost paper thin. The only thing your going to do kicking with your shin is bruise yourself. So you can 1. kick with your shin and get bruises and maybe even a fracture.

    2. do nothing at all and keep sitting at your computer arguing with people you don't know.

  • or 3. you can do it my way, the right way, and save yourself many a painful injury.

  • @homeschooler360 Right way my ass, it's like saying your fingers are harder to break than your humerus, it's rediculous.

    Shinbone = thick

    Footbones = thin

The shin is harder to break than the foot, however I guess some people just lack common sense.

  • I DON'T CARE!!!! If you want to break your shin then go ahead!!! I'm simply trying to save you the trouble! Sorry! Do whatever you want! How am I gonna stop you?!?! And common sense or not, thats just the way it is! I know from experience! It hurts alot more when you kick with you shin than when you kick properly with you foot!

  • Lol "common sense or not"

  • Yup thats what I said. It doesn't matter if it makes sense scientifically! Scientifically the so-called "ozone hole" is a naturally occurring phenomenon and CFC's have nothing to do with it. But nobody listens to those facts do they? Scientifically loggers could cut down every tree on the planet and we'd still be able to breathe because most air-filtration is done with ALGAE!!!! So scientifically, yes your shin is more durable. But sometimes you have to forget science and look at the facts.

  • @homeschooler360 I think you need to learn what science is before you comment again

  • And just what exactly is that supposed to mean? Science is a method or formula for systematically arranging facts to discovery the operation and function of natural laws. What I mean is, sometimes you have to hang the facts and go with experience.

  • And yet a smaller surface area quadruples the force imparted by a collision.

  • No it doesn't, a smaller surface area just imparts the same amount of force into a smaller area.

  • @lordxgdoyo. Well in this he's saying the top side of the foot. If your shins are very well conditioned you can strike with them, but most styles use the top side of the foot. Karate however for the roundhouse kick strike with the balls of the feet just like all the styles do with the front kick.

  • Never strike an opponent with your shin. Period. You'll just shatter it. If you are kicking properly with the top of your foot than it won't hurt.

  • @homeschooler360. So why is striking with the shin really common in Muay Thai? By conditioning the shin (or any other bone) you deaden the nerves and harden it; some Muay Thai guys kick banana tress a thousand times a day. Obviously to fully condition takes years and I would'nt recommend striking with it fully unless the shins are well conditioned. So I would agree it's not that safe then.

  • @Scott111188 But what he doesn't realise is that if it's not safe to strike with an unconditioned shin, it isn't safe to strike with an unconditioned foot.

  • @LiNaK37 True. Say you were training on a wooden dummy, your just as likely to break or damage your foot as you are your shin with a full force kick if not conditioned. I'm just about getting used to hitting these really tough hard punch bags down where I train with my foot when I roundhouse kick. I do think however I'd rather break my foot rather than my shin (ouch!!), but homeschooler360 is saying never use your shin and they do it all the time in Muay Thai and it can be very lethal.

  • @homeschooler360 If you kick with your shin properly it won't hurt either

  • 2 minutes of explaination and hes almost guna die of exhaustion

  • @trucomment could just be a heavy breather i do it all the time im not actually tired at all i just breath heavily without realising

  • @trucomment it's such a pretty roundhouse at the same time.

  • @trucomment old fart martial art. :P

    Nice guy though.

  • @trucomment SO??? If you find me an MMA Black belt fighter of that age, that good.. Gimme a call m8 ;)

  • @trucomment you are true idiot. If you are lucky you will grow out of it.

  • @trucomment hahahahah.. got that right!

  • Muay Thai is a good martial arts but with many flaws there is no best. each art has flaws but working around this flaws makes it better and makes you better at what you do in your martial arts but never think your the best that is when you make the biggest flaw . knowing that your doing your best but remeber that theres always someone better that is a small part of what being a true martial artists is all about

  • this guy is a cluck a real muay thai round house kick you dont bend your leg all the force and pressure is lost... this guys a joke...karate is a joke learn a real martial art, Muay Thai!, Muay Lao

  • If you seriously think this way, you need to stop learnin martial arts NOW!!!...your mind is set on this illusion that muay thai is "better" than other martial arts and it's not...this is a technique used in many traditional martial arts and it is very effective if done correctly...I myself kicked a guy who weighed over 250lbs across the dojo with this technique when I only weighed around 150lbs...so please don't slate other techniques from other martial arts...thanks :)
