What an inspiration Aimee is! Handicaps don't have to hold a person back from anything they truly want to do, as she has clearly shown. I feel so humbled by people like Aimee -- those of us who have it so much easier complain about how difficult things are for us. Imagine how it must be to perform in any sport when you're deaf and blind in one eye (and even more so to excel at it!). Amazing.
I saw her when she was younger on videotype How to Talk with a Person Who Can't Hear with Anthony Natale. I can't believe that she is all grow up and she was great gymnastic!
She is such an inspiration. its also funny that she is also the deaf girl in the gymnastics movie, Little girls in pretty boxes. She was a kid then now she is all grown up!
I rememer seeing Aimee when I was younger and being fascinated with her. I was a competitive figure skater at the time, and I thought it was so great to have another deaf athlete out for all to see. Great video.
i watched this clip at school which is kinda funny since she's on the gymnastics team there. and i do gymnastics too lol. anyway we both go to byu. woot
AWESOME video. there was a kid that was blind in my gymnastics conference too, he did pommel horse. amazing how good they can get although others may consider them only "partly functional"
I met Amiee while attending BYU. She is a very cool girl.

There is still a negative stigma surrounding deafness that needs to be excised from our society.
We need more Aimees out there.
