  • They totally ripped Damien off with that meal they served him. Why didn't they make sure what they were giving him was healthy and wouldn't interfere with his weight loss?

  • poor damo :'(

  • lol the end of this seemed like a really good movie xD

  • You can lose weight entirely without exercise if you alter your diet sufficiently. It just takes a lot longer and the results aren't as healthy.

  • @kiquorice

Not recommended. At all. The lower amount of calories you eat, the more your metabolism lowers to match in your input. In short, you screw with your metabolism big time.

  • @littledeadybear Yeah, that's why I said "the results aren't as healthy." ;)

  • Damien should won tbh.

He was much more worthy then the winner that came in later in the season.

Chris had been voted off early if he was with from start with hes huge weightloos and unsocial and egotripped skills.

  • I thought rice was a good food for weight loss - sheesh , glad to learn that one.

  • i feel so bad for all of them weight loss is a hard thing. i wouldn't know from personal experience, I'm very thin, but i know people who have tried and it was hard for them. i can't imagine what its like, but some people will do anything to be healthy. I'm so proud of them that they are taking control of their body and not let it get worse :)

  • i really feel for damien:(

  • omg whats next looks awesome!

  • Does anyone else think that Damien got screwed over with the "calorie controlled" dinner that he won?

  • @FamilyofAbbotts thats what i was thinking

  • People should not think they can't lose weight if they can't find 4 hours in the day to exercise. My brother lost 100kg & has maintained it for 2 years. His nutrition played a huge part in this, as well as 60 min exercise every day or every second day. My point to this is, no one could EVER could maintain 4 hours a day forever. Even 30-60 mins plus a good clean diet will definitely drop the weight. No one would be happy spending 4 hours in a gym every day, away from family & friends.

  • I agree - I think people may listen to Shannon and gloss over the fact that he said "optimal" weight loss. Yeah -- to drop the kinds of numbers they drop on BL each week, they're working out crazy amounts. I dunno what it is in kg, I don't have a calc up, but I lost almost 130lbs almost a year ago and have been maintaining it and I very rarely worked out longer than an hour at once.

  • Good on your brother for losing that weight....wow!

  • Thanks :) I am super proud of him.

  • damian gained muscle he did the stair challenge so well and rice is a cruse but hey damian is still amazing

  • T_T i eat rice everyday!! T_T i didnt know that T_T

  • but rice doesn't make you fat, it's all about how much and with what you eat. look at all asians! they are hardly fat!

  • @nh229 yes but the basmati rice is much better than normal white rice

  • 3-4 hours of exercise a day? Are you serious? I think that most people (including myself) honestly do not have that much time to do that. Also, all of those calories need to be eaten back. Do you really want to eat thousands of extra calories back a day?

I'm a tad confused about that, because in regular life that's just not feasible.

  • I agree with you that its not easy for people to spend 3-4 hrs in the gym a day. But Im curious to if they mean all types of activity? Ya know like thru out the day such as walking or stairs climbed thru work hrs as well as whole day. Like cleaning house or shopping, gardening or other yard work it really does all add up that way as well. So wonder if those things are part of that activity or excersize?

  • No, those don't count because your heart rate doesn't get high enough to actually be burning calories. Walking around, doing chores, etc. are all already part of your daily lifestyle, not supplemental exercise.

  • @sweetsaz79 Why would you work out to burn up calories then eat those calories back?? That doesn't make sense.

And that's not what they do here. They control their calories to between 1600 and 1900 and still work out 3-4 hours per day.

I agree with you though that what Shannan says doesn't apply to weightloss at an ordinary rate (not the super high TBL rate)
